Heavenly sake Justice, who is building those nice bunglows and villas from Zeila to Kismayo, if Johnny-Faaraxs not working his arsse off, I heard that its been owned in great deal by UK residents surley it deosn't pop-up from the ground like mushrooms, as you remeber last we fled the country it was all devasting beriut-like.

and one more thing Sweetie, what little arrogant xalimoos contribute to the society/community apart an expensive wedding, dahab and diric. you gotta tell me Ms Justice, sharing responsibilities is a responsibility by itself.

True we have a Qaat problem in UK, so also in somalia, it's draining both wealth and health for the benefit of ethopia and kenya, putting too much strains in marriage and finance both, and making a bad name for Somalis as a lazy buggers. gotta a solution? We need to solve our social problmes hand in hand.

A good point there, but I don't mean that eihter.

It is really complicated and appalling

I havn't came across these men your talking about, and I wish if I can meet one of them...

am talking about the young men who are just starting their lives with a new wife. It's true that they need to work together so they can survive, but It's always important for the guy to be the main bread winner. what am seeing now is men trying to act smart and run after girls who are already got houses and who are loaded with money. Sometimes the girl might be earning more money than the guy. This is what really worry me. Men are not the same men anymore. They are lazy, dependent on women, and can't take responsibility. I wish if These men you talked about sharmarke were the majority, but they are not, and maybe they are not young in their twenties.

All Justice is trying to do is show you the problem and all of you dudes are defending your self’s and not seeing what you doing wrong. If your work and support your family good and if you don’t maybe you should consider working and supporting your family. Oh by the way Yo-Yo Ma I don’t have any think against you it’s just that you defending Somali men and your ignoring what they do wrong that’s all. smile.gif

No, Justice is peddling load of crapola that doesn't fly. Like her oxymoronic contention that Somali men have foibles. Ya, and I am the emperor of China!

There's nothing wrong with Somali men. In fact, they're perfect... certainly better their opposite sex. And if any Somali man leaves alot to be desired, the blame rests squarely on the shoulders of Somali women.

Please stop spreading hate and violence against Somali men. The poor sods have already seen more than their fair share.

Finally, I found someone who feels the same.

Yes men can't understand that they are facing a great issue. They are draging themselves and their families down. They don't want to move forward, they just want to be the normal farax forever.

Justice said:

They think that the government can pay for everything and still live happily ever after. Well they don't , they don't

I wish if i can see one somali couple who don't depend on benefits. that will prove that am wrong about men.

In today’s world both parents have to work just to get by, (at least in the United States). Each family has to evaluate their situation and has to decide what is best for them as individual and as family (I am talking first hand experience here).

Here in the United States, guy’s actual work and they work hard to make ends meet. There are also a lot of good working Somali men in the UK. The idea that Somali man is lazy and ****** is just ridiculous. Come on JUSTICE… who do you seriously think buy all these Guggi bags and all the BlingBiling you all wearing……

Ms DD

Salaam Aleykum Justice

These are good men, hard-working men, who just want to be earn a living. I dont know the circles you socialise in. But where i am in London, i see men who work hard for their family, build a future for them. One of these men is my lovely husband. If a man is useless, it is only because his wife let them get away with it. As they say 'Lax walba meeshey is dhigto ayaa lagu qalaa'. But we have a shortage of men in the UK anyway so some women can NOT afford to be choosy. Maybe it is time to emigrate to US to find working men. After all we are all nomads.

Another point: it aint fair that we lump all men together. But if there is a problem with men, it is mainly because of the women. Not all their fault mind you, but major part. After all they are the moms and have massive role in their son's life. If we have uneducated moms, then we have no hope in raising fine upstanding young men with hard-working moral values in our society.

So one has a no-hoper for a husband, then make darn sure that your sons dont follow their dad's footstep. The first step is to make sure the father get his act together in order to be a good role model for his kids. If he cant, then make sure that he doesnt influence the kids into following his footsteps. This way we will have good men for the next generation.

Allah knows Best.

Cambarro walaal I agree with you we have a lot of men that are good and we have some that are lazy

Here in the united state we have women depending on welfare and their husbands stay up all night eating Qaad and sleeping during the day and we have those who work hard to support their family so every society have bad men and bad women so it does not matter if have good men or bad men we still LOVE them.

Aniga Waaye...How could you construe my effort to reach some sense of meaningful conclusion with Justice as an attempt to defend Somali men ( Not dat i wouldn't defend them if they were wronged for no apparent reason). I was merely promoting a deeper understanding of the issue and a better dialogue between the sexes. In other words, I was simply trying to spark something in Justice's mind as to what the plausible solutions there are to her percieved inadequacies in some circles of the Somali male populace residing in the UK. You can't lay the blame at someone's feet, and leave matter there.

Luckly Cambarro(like dat name, I don't know why) has thrown some light on some aspects of the issue.

i don't have to demand my hasband to get me things, and that's not the way feminists approaches problems.. demanding things is not the answer sis...Also by doing so that does not make me a feminist.. just to make it clear to ya. a Muslim man would be talking caring of all the issues in first place that's his role, just like RendezVous said be, she explained really good.

Feminism isn’t about dreaming of ATM man that dispenses cash. If that’s your perception of feminism movement, you’re giving it a whole new meaning. The solution to the problem you’re experiencing with your man is to try to fix him rather than relating him to other men. Blaming on all men or embracing feminism isn’t gonna guarantee you a quick fix. Fix the one you got girl.
