This is a very good opportunity to join forces with one of the Somali people's elite business men. Somtel Somalia operates in all the Federal States of Somalia.

I beg to differ here Diktoore. I think this is a great move. Hajji Ducaale will still be controlling the company, but the fact that minority share holders will now come from every region, it means both the company and its operations will become partly locally owned. This will translate in many different ways including shielding the company from becoming an easy target for people who have nothing to lose. They will have something to lose after the selling of shares, so they will be bound to protect their investments. 

Besides, there are rumours that Hajji Ducaale is eyeing a big fish in Ethiopia. I heard Dahabshiil Group in joint venture with UAE's Etisalat want to bid for a controlling stake in Ethiopia's Telecom business.  

I think Hajji'gu is killing two birds with one stone here.

Dahabshiil invested a lot of money for properties and tried to become a dominant telecommunications bussines with little return so far. The only area going well for Dahabshiil is the bank sector which has a great future. The rest of his business model had very difficult to gain market share with all the investments he made to upgrades and compete with Jimcaale  groups like telesom partially because he likes to go alone. Dahabshiil is probably running out of cash flow and this is an attempt to collect som deposits.

Maakhir if you really think Somaliland  started  it's 're liberation in 1979 just for mere seats in the amisom project in town south you  really awaits a rude awakening. The struggle we started in  1979 is to have a full fledged independent sovereign  republic of Somaliland or shankaroon as oday Oodweyne puts it. There is no such thing as federal Somalia.  Somalia it self  does not exist  what you  see in xalane Is nothing but a western  creation to protect Kenyan and Ethiopian security interest. Its not a govt it surely doesn't look like one  the country is run by alshabaab and spooks from Britain and the USA and Qatari  funders. And ofcourse irhaabist shabaab from the pashtun tribes and local beesha shanaad minorities and other jihadist. Ethiopia  runs bay and bakool. Baandir and Mogadishu is run by Uganda and Burundi. Burundi Kenya uses  kismayo as a buffer.

And Djibouti along with Ethiopian intelligence run the hiiraan region.

The pirates  are broke because NATO now   patrols  the high seas of the Indian  ocean.
