  1. ^^^^^^ I know! She makes me feel bad!!! I take a 20 min walk and I feel like i've run a damn marathon! I did that Detox thing and I lost 10lb in 7days. That was all probably water but I felt so light and clean. I´´m gonna try it again sometime soon insha alaah not to lose weight but to just take a break form canjeero and basto.
  2. Well aint they some freaky dancers!
  3. congrats. May your new husband bring you all joy in the world.
  4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My first job was working in an orange juice factory, but I got canned, I couldn't concentrate. Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe. After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it. Mainly because it was a so-so job. Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was exhausting. I wanted to be a barber, but I just couldn't cut it. Then I tried to be a chef--figured it would add a little spice to my life but I just didn't have the thyme. Finally, I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I couldn't cut the mustard. My best job was being a musician, but eventually I found I wasn't noteworthy. I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn't have any patients. Next was a job in a shoe factory; I tried but I just didn't fit in. I became a professional fisherman, but discovered that I couldn't live on my net income. Thought about becoming a witch, so I tried that for a spell. I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance company, but the work was just too draining. I got a job at a zoo feeding giraffes but I was fired because I wasn't up to it. So then I got a job in a gymnasium (work-out-center), but they said I wasn't fit for the job. Next, I found being an electrician interesting, but the work was shocking. After many years of trying to find steady work I finally got a job as a historian until I realized there was no future in it. My last job was working at Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind.
  5. I said yes to just 2 questions..so that makes 4 points. some of those questions are scary!

  10. ^^^^Its not at night its eating right before you go to bed....your body is getting ready to slow down so it won't really di gest all that food. X-Q: thanks for the advice. I stopped the cabbage soup diet after half a day...I felt so damn dizzy, I had no enerrgy for my daughter...not worth it. Anyways now I just eat my breakfast, a light lunch and dinner all before 7:30pm. I go for a walk everyday with the baby, and now I feel so much better and healthier. DARK ANGEL: Loose skin can be avoided with excerise, cardio and weight training.

[/QB] I have no idea. I´m allergic to all fruit though. Oranges and grape fruit make my lips swell. The rest close up my throat...making it hard to breath. But canned fruit i´m not allergic to..don´t know why.
  12. ^^^^wow! I´m too scard to try anything bright colored! But I love those bright colored short dresses...the ones with the elastic top half...strapless. Wear it with a skirt or pants..to cover up your shoulders wear one of those short blazers made from light material. Ilove this look...it works for fall too, just change the colors. Also any short sun dress would work.
  13. ^^^^soy milk? Does it have as much calcium as regular milk? Foxy brown...thanks for the advice...I do gowalking everyday with my baby in her stroller. Cutting down on my carb intake is very hard since I LOVE malawax...But i´´m trying. I am also allergic to fresh fruit, so I buy the canned fruit and wash the sugar off it...it seems to be working. Anyways...thanks
  14. I just recently had a baby....I have lost 20 lb in the last 2 months..I still have 20 more to go. It is kind of hard for me to go to the gym so I walk for an hour everyday with my baby. I stopped eating bread, dairy products and I also stopped eating bariis and basto. I just started this new diet called the cabbage soup diet..so we will see how it works. I really miss working out at the gym...but I can´´t trust anyone to take care of daughter while i´´m gone. But anyways if anyone has any pointers please let me know. love Xafsa

I personally believe it’s what you teach a man. Many sisters get perfectly good house-trained men, yet they turn them into complete novices by running after them for the first year and when baby 1, 2 3 come she begins to yell that he never helps her-well duh woman! You taught him to be so incompetent and hence wuu kibray. [/QB] True..but most men come already spoiled. for those men that change when the wife has a baby....anyone with half a brain can see that his wife needs help. Its the deep rooted mentality that it´´s a women job to take care of the children, clean the house, cook the food, feed him, do his laundry, and iron his clothes. Are we all gonna pretend that a somali man actually works? There are some men that do have an 8 hour work day...but the rest sit at home while his wofe collects welfare. Those types of men should be fed twigs and leaes...but the women who allow it are worse.

    This is it!

no matter how much we want the men to help us around the house...it most likely won´t happen,,,siiba the somali men its like they were porgrammed to sit around coffee shops and gossip.
  18. chicken wings? are we talking about somali men here? I thought with y´all it was all about the hilib ari and bariis....
  19. ^^^^lol I can´´t find any VS like stores here Sweden. The only thing I saw was the Body Shop. Damn I miss VS lotions. Hibo...lol....lingerie? What in the name of god would you do that? And now for a confession....I haven´t done my bed ritual since i´ve given birth.....I go to bed smelling of baby vomit, breast milk and formula My own personal birth control
  20. ^^^^^^^^Does that make you feel all warm inside? I think its the men that start to gain weight one they are married....somali women need to stop feeding these freaks...you try to be a good wife and it comes back and bites you in the *** !
  21. Why in the name of god would you want to go out an LOOK? They have to find you. Besides you know how when you loose something and you drive yourself crazy looking for it.....but as soon as you stop looking..there it is? Men are the same way...those darn things just don´t want to be found....so STOP looking!!! They´ll come. Another thing is...you´re looking for them now but once you find one...you will be wondering why you were looking for one in the first place. That´s a whole other topic. peace and love.
  22. ^^^^^^~Any woman who thinks the way to a man's heart is through his stomach is aiming just a little too high.~ lol That´´s true.
  23. Why in the name of god would anyone choose a job over raising their children? That's a career itself. Sure get a degree, but when the children start coming put it away for a minute and focus on them and your husband. You know I was watching 60 min a few years back and they had this story about all these educated women giving it all up to raise their children. They had doctors, lawyers, professors.etc.. During judgement day you will be asked about how you raised your kids...about their morals and their tarbiyah.
  24. I can´´t imagine why you wouldn´´t want to have children. Like st.paul chick said don´´t knock it ´´till you`ve tried it. Once you``ve seen your child smile for you ...you will wonder why you have'nt done it sooner.
