Poor Samafal. Ladies are not showing you any mercy. If the choice is between no university and away university. I don't think there is a debate there. Seek knowledge as far as China etc. If it is between local uni or away uni - it's a personal decision. I can understand why some would not feel comfortable with their daughter going away but would be ok with their son. But that is more cultural baggage than anything else. In North America - males are the ones causing grief to the families not the ladies. The ladies are trusted to do their thing but if it comes down to going away for education many Somali parents have issues. It's an oddity. At the end of the day - you can't stop anyone going astray or something bad happening - you gotta wiegh the options and stay open minded.
