  10. lol baashi, somali patriotism runs deep, even though it runs crooked in some. The thing that annoyed me the most of that programme was how that man was trying to gain asian sympathy by telling them how the first generation immigrants stuck together and west indies and asians supported one another during the hardship. Oh gimme a break! One man in particular told him, "your people say us asians are more likely to die of heart attack than anyone else because we work so hard, but at least we don't die of drug abuse" Did the flag waver of afro-caribean people defend himself? Oh no! He just side stepped the real issue, which was why the black community isn't functioning as well as other communities. Like Northerner said, we have achieved more in the decade that we have been here, compared to what they have done in the 5 decades that they had to settle into this society
  11. That programme was nothing but a joke, portraying Somalis as people to be pitied. The tone of it all was downgrading. Our community isn't better by all means, but saying somali's are criminal because a little gangster wanna-be said he was beaten with bricks (which he might have deserved for all we know) is hard to believe. And then, to showing a paranoid old woman who's house was laid under siege expressing her hatred for the Somalis was the topping on the cake. And how did the dear old lonely immigrant know that the somalis were the ones throwing bricks through her windows? Because a white boy said so, of course! Never mind that it was during the night, and that no one else could confirm it. It was presented as a truth, rather than the speculation of an old lady looking for some one to blame. Call me a racist if you will, but i find it quite funny that the same people who's community is largely blamed for all drugs and gun violence related crime acts have the time to critizise us. When in fact our community is equiped with better work ethics and are achieving considerable amount of goals in a short period....What a laughable, biased and incompetence way of finding a new community to point the finger at.
  12. ^^^ you have been in london uk for too long mr, talking about rain indeed! For all those who lavashed me with sympathy and revenge suggestions, thank you,,,,To all others, WHAT A BLOODY WASTE OF SPACE sorry guys, just venting my anger as aeryn suggested Ngonge, seriously, me is veeery kind, jst ask that ingrate juxa Seriously though, i have been brought up to know my place and not rudely confront people, so i was lost for reaction. Never before was i faced with such unhidded contempt and raw anger. Ngonge, there is that family link, obviously, and to that regard i have been taking more than i would have of a stranger, but whether family or not, edabta waa wax waajib ah.

  14. Alla, i felt she was staring at me. Bachelor, man thnx,,,looks like maamo aan baalka ka galaa tonight
  15. I don't know about the rest of you, but the only kind of confrontation i know is talking straight and telling people what i think etc. The peaceful kind of confrontation as i call it. There is a house guest from hell staying with us, more particularly, a cousin. At first everything was going great, untill she started giving me attitude and "what you looking at" with the whole neck movements and all. This behaviour puzzled me. I am the youngst and was brought up to deal with matters the adult and polite way. I just couldn't understand the creature. Then came the silent treatment. Still, she was guest at my house and my fave auntie's daughter. So i vacated my room, which she was sharing with me, to just give the confused one some space. It seemed that she didn't know the rules of civility which dictates that guests should behave accordingly no matter. So now i am out of my room, getting silent treatment and being asked "you got a prob with me"? By all means, i am no saint, nor a push over. But yet i find myself bound by rules of conduct, even if the other party isn't. So the point of this tale, other than to complain and get sympathy , would be,,,,Did any of you ever face a situation where you had to choose between defending yourself by a big confrontation and acting civil and mature? Where is the line between confrontation, and plain ol' daan daansi? If the other person is rude, does it mean that you may be rude to them as well? What do you do with a guest that bullies her host? If only i had the experience of fighting with other girls in luuqa xaafada after dugsi, i'm sure i would be more than equipt to handle this

    Men's section.

Viking, i think you have a good case against the admin for sexism in its most unusual form, against men  Bro, what ever issues you have or may wish to discuss, god knows, laakinse i sincerely apologise for my unfounded assumption that men only talk about sports. Did i say sincerely? gotta change that to cordially*
  17. Alas, the one eyed nomad is departing from our midst..I'm sure many will remember ur antics and chuckle whenever they see a silly pic once posted by you. Good luck in life bro.
  18. One name cmes to mind..Mussolini. Now that man intimidated even Hitler!
  19. ^^^ like a pc programme containing a virus? Anywayz, i think that there is a cause for every problem, this including cheating. So the woman can't be painted a saint. Having said that, if any one did that to me, i would cook them a nice meal and treat them like a king. And when the person in question went to bed, i would put two different boiling digsis on. One with oil, one with water..The rest, as they say, is history Shoobaro, why is it that i always get the aqli sticker Still, knowing you, i should say asxantu for not calling me something else
  20. shoobaro wixi laga doonay aas qabaa isma dhihin miyaa? aniga hadii aan ahaa lahaay,,,waaba shake gareen lahaa for better result.. As for that other person,,,,Asbax nimo waa lagu dhaqmaa laakinse...doqon nimada waa loo dhashaa. So chill bro, ragga naago lama tirsadaanee  macbuudkoow
  21. The "baro" above me... Eeboow nin ina baqti lagde la dhahaayo oo dooli ka dabo ordaayo habaar uma dhimno...
  22. Walee wax aa idiin dhiman reer shoobleyaal....Shaqo la'aan leeba iga dheh. You lot should be doing voluntary work in old peoples homes, just to spend that energy. I would like to comment one of the "baro" but i don't know which one is which  Qandho idinla magac xun Ecstasy, reading somali is very easy once you know the somali alphabet.Laakin trust me, even if u did...Reading long pieces of somali text, or lyric in this case, is tiring!
  23. Darman, Aabe ispiritos waaye yaah...lol u trouble maker. I never had to deal with white racists as such.. I have seen many Marocans that hated our guts just because we were black and they were a little bit lighter. They themselves were being blamed for everything that went wrong in Holland, and yet they had no quelms about attaking Somali's whenever the oppertunity presented itself. Why is it that arabs can't see everyone as fellow islamic brothers/sisters instead of seeing them as inferiors?

    Men's section.

Viking, bro ur thinking about it too hard. The womens section is used by our male nomads on an equal basis, so it isn't a place for women alone. And as many people pointed out, what would you guys talk about in a men's section? If it is a place to ponder ideas, to discuss the world issues and the latest development of the FA scandal...There are sections allocated for exactly those purposes... Why do you want a men's section? Or is ir merely because there is a women's section and u deem that unfair? lol Boolbaro qori is mariska iska dhaaf Reminds me of a tale that ayeeyo used to tell me about waraabe dadoow
  25. lol shabelle, lug iyo gacan aan kuu taagay nooh cajuus calol weyn. Now i know what to say to a faarax that won't go away Raula, hope you get well soon abaayo..and if you are already well,,,hope you stay that way
