^LooooooooL....I had to beat that out of you

Dajiye-I agree with you on your points but who's behind this and what prompted the foriegn minister to initiate this complaint? Just curious!
-
Dajiye-Let me break it down sxb. I feel like we are going in circles. I don't think anything can or would happen to Farax in terms of his political stature, so in that context-there is little the foriegn minister can do to him.Nothing will come of that unless there is vast conspiracy involving all Kenyan heavy weights to oust this man and I know how government operates and what could get Farax out into the street. So in short, the foriegn minister can do little to the man. I agree with you there. I also don't think his trip to LA has any practical consequences. It doesn't change the reality on the ground or farther Somaliland's quest for the elusive recognition. That said, he must be called out for entertaining secession, even you would agree with that. Lastly, back to my early question-who's behind this? You said it can't be any Somali player since none of them are influential enough. So, it is Kenyan political mudslinging or there are other things we are not privy to?
-
Dajiye-Who is it since you have ruled out any Somali players. Is it just sleazy Kenyan politics? The Zack-The man supported secession, what more reasons do you need?

^I don't mean to burst your bubble but everyone person in Somalia is poor and dirty, and commerce knows no boundaries. -
Dajiye-According to you, Faroole's b*tching weighs nothing in Nairobi-so surely this couldn't be his doing since he is insignificant player.A greater force must have came into play.

That’s what Farax Macalin told the people of LA after he saw in other Somaliland regions. Forget being goons for bogus MOD, M.5, Khusuusi or SSC nonsense. The money being wasted by the politicians in Nairobi could be better spent in other worthy projects back home. It's not rocket science, is it? It is common people invest in their towns and villages but this is not my question. The point of joining an association, union, country or any political entity is that one sincerely believes it is in their best interest or that they will gain something from any merger. The question is what does LA stand to gain from any merger with Hargeysa? If the people of LA can develop their own towns and villages, what is the point coming under Hargeysa's authority or even Garowe's? -

^How could say with all that certainty, how are people of LA better of with Hargeysa? What economical, political, and social advantages does Hargeysa have to offer? -
Ibti-The Zack and Dajiye will remind Farax of roots I think Duke, Xiin (maybe not so much) and Puntlanders fail to understand is that La Anod or for that matter all the north is part of Somalia-so it coming under Somaliland admin is not about Puntland losing a city. It is about seceding from Somalia. This is how SL boys entrap by turning the issue Somaliland vs Puntland rather than seeing it for what is and that's secession from Somalia proper. LooooooooL@adiga iyo cowke...much made in heaven eh.

^Situations change. Don't tell you hold the same views on everything and everyone as time drags on! -
^You mean I should backtrack and edit my comments too But in all seriousness, at least from my perspective, what this man did or said carries no real consequences but it is good that people re-affirm Somali sovereignty and not entertain secession. As for guy, I don't really know him enough to call him this or this, even if I was aware of his doings good or bad. I rather condemn his actions not attack his personality.

Dawladda TFG ee Soomaaliya door intee le’eg ayay ku leedahay dacwadda loo maleegayo Faarax Macallin? March 3rd, 2010 Comments Off Hargeysa (Somaliland.Org)- Dawladda Sheekh Shariif ee Soomaaliya, ayaa qiratay inay ka dambaysay qoraal baadhitaan Xukuumadda Kenya la raadinayso guddoomiye kuxigeenka Baarlamaanka dalkaas Mr. Faarax Macalin. Wasiirka Khaarajiga Kenya Mr. Moses Wantengula oo todobaadkii hore warqad qoraal ah u diray guddiga xidhiidhka dibadda ee Baarlamaanka dalkiisa, waxa uu ka codsaday inay baadhitaan ku sameeyaan safarkii dabayaaqadii December 2009 uu guddoomiye Faarax Macalin ku yimi Somaliland, kaasoo uu ku eedeeyay inuu Hargeysa ka sheegay hadalo uu ku dhiirigelinayo gooni-isu-taaga Somaliland, isla markaana uu magaalada Laascaanood ka jeediyay hadalo xasarad dheliyay. Danjiraha dawladda TFG u fadhiya Nairobi Maxamed Cali Nuur (Ameeriko) oo shalay u waramay BBC-da, waxa uu ka gaabsaday inuu faahfaahin ka bixiyo lugta dawladdiisu ku leedahay dacwada lala raadinayo guddoomiye kuxigeenka Baarlamaanka Kenya. “Annagu ka dawlad ahaan, waxaanu aaminsanahay in Soomaaliya mid tahay, waxaanu aaminsanahay in cid kasta oo ka shaqaynaysa inay kala qaybinayso Soomaaliya aanu ka soo horjeedno. Waxaad ogtahay in IGAD, Midowga Afrika iyo Qaramada Midoobay intaba ay ka soo baxeen go’aamo ku saabsan in Soomaaliya mid loo aqoonyahay, Somaliland iyo Puntland-na ay ka tirsan yihiin Soomaaliya. Dawlad ahaan, waxaanu aad ugu faraxsanahay nabadda ay leeyihiin Somaliland iyo Puntland oo ka tirsan Soomaaliya. Markaa waxaanu aaminsanahay in dawladda Kenya iyo dadkeeduba aad u soo dhawaynayaan in Soomaaliya mid tahay,” ayuu yidhi Mr. Ameeriko. “Marka hore, waxaanu aad uga soo horjeedaa cid kasta oo ka shaqaynaysa inay Soomaaliya ka dhex dhaliso xiisad, waxaananu soo dhawaynaysaa in nabad laga wada shaqeeyo iyo Soomaaliya mid ah sidii loo heli lahaa,” ayuu yidhi Safiirka oo la waydiiyay waxa caddayn loo hayo in hadalkii Faarax Macalin xiisad ka dhex dhaliyay Somaliland iyo maamul-gobolleedka Puntland ee Soomaaiya. Mar la waydiiyay doorka dawladdiisu ku leedahay isku-daygan dacwada gudaha Baarlamaanka Kenya loogaga maleegayo guddoomiye kuxigeenka, waxa uu ku jawaabay; “Waa arrin u dhexaysa labada wadan ee Soomaaliya iyo Kenya, mana doonayo inaan hadda ka hadlo…Waraaqo laba dawladdood is dhaafsadeen in laga hadlo ma fiicna, in arrimaha dawladda Kenya aanu dhex galnana ma rabno.” Danjiraha dawladda Sheekh Shariif u jooga Kenya, waxa uu sheegay inay ku faraxsan yihiin doorashooyinka qabsatay. Sidoo kale, waxa uu tilmaamay inay Somaliland oo uu Puntland ku lamaanaysiiyay ay ku amaanayaan nabadda ay dhisteen. “Waxaan xaqiijinayaa in aanu ku faraxsanahay nabadda ay leeyihiin Puntland iyo Somaliland doorashooyinka ay galeen, laakiin mar kasta waxaanu aaminsanahay inay ka tirsan yihiin wadanka Soomaaliyeed oo mid ah,” ayuu raaciyay. Paragon-The man was given an ample opportunity to clarify his position in the interviews he has given to BBC and VOA. He dodged every question and the only thing he said LA should joined Hargeysa re-establishing colonial borders. P.S. I'm sure Dawaara family are decent people. -

Nassir-Somehow, I don't see Tigrays and Amharas willing to live under Oromo rule even if the seat is gived to "amrahized" Oromo.I think Zenawi is preparing his community for the eventual Balkanization. Most aid and investments are diverted to the Tigray region. -

Ethiopian Opposition Candidate Stabbed to Death Ethiopian Opposition Candidate Stabbed to Death By JASON McLURE NYT Published: March 2, 2010 ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia — An opposition candidate for Ethiopia’s Parliament was stabbed to death early Tuesday in what opposition leaders said was part of a widening campaign of repression ahead of May elections. The candidate, Aregawi Gebre-Yohannes, was killed at a restaurant he owned near the town of Shire in Ethiopia’s Tigray region by a group of six men who had shadowed his movements for the previous two days, said Gebru Asrat, a leader of the Arena party, a member of an alliance of opposition parties. “They cut him, they stabbed him in the stomach, and he died,” Mr. Gebru said. “It’s becoming very difficult to run” in the elections, he added. Bereket Simon, the government’s communications minister, dismissed political motives for the attack and said the opposition was trying to tarnish the government’s image.
