1. In the post civil war Somalia, I found Pland to be the one entity that is honest about the basis for its existence.
2. The idea that Da'ish and others like it will bring new Caliphate is self deceiving at best. These groups are nothing but bloodthirsty psychopaths. They offer no alternative to the fat shieikhdoms that are supporting and watching Palestinian extermination.
3. No one could be possible more useless than us.

5. I actually think Baydhabo is good idea. The local population can be persuaded to support the Government. The six vs three states issue might be an issue. Mukhtar Robow has fallen out of favor with Alshabab and many of his tribesmen went with him. My only thing is Woyane presence. I don't want to see Woyanes in a Somali Capital.
6. Cadale, only city that has the backing of local population, culumo and elites can replace Xamar. For Xamar to be the Capital, the President should hold reconciliation for local tribes and get firm support from them. He would need the support of culumo and traditional leaders (not Xaad and Diiriye types) for credibility sake, And the biggest asset or obstacle would be the business community, some of whom are very shady.
7. Cadale. I think it's now fair to assume there are other players that do not want peace in Mogadishu, players with deep pockets. It is also clear that general public cannot be rallied to support the Government. Unlike other regions including Somaliland and Puntland, the public in Xamar seems powerless. And there are no traditional leaders that can be trusted to rally the public. Somalistart. Baydhabo is neutral? hehe, I guess neutral means anywhere certain tribes don't inhibit
8. These demos are useless, instead the Somali electorate in Minneapolis should pressure their representatives in DC to seek answer from the Somali President. Saado was American citizen after all. Bombard Senators Franklin and Klobuchar with calls and emails. Have them reach out to the State Department.

11. “Dadku wax bay qorshaystaan oo ragganimo ayaa la isku dayaa si la isku taago, laakiin waxa Somaliland adhaxda ka jabiyey ictiraafka dunnida laga sugayo oo ah horta ha lagu aqoonsado, waxa ummadda awoodoodii baabi’iyey waa ha lagu aqoonsado (oo awoodoodii wax kulama soo baxayaan), aqoonsiguna wuxuu yimaad marka aad adigu marka hore wax la timaad, laakiin marka uu yidhaah waan iska fadhiyayaa ee ha la i aqoonsado (waa dhibaato weyn),” ayuu yidhi Abwaan Hadraawi I think shacabka Soomaalilayn and dowladooda should listen to Abwaan Hadraawi.
12. I think she's talking about the police Contingent, ironically enough including Nigerians. The 22,000 'peacekeepers' will stay or if anything they might be increased
13. I don't know that but on the plus side, the elections are not far away.
14. This is a lot of hearsay. And I am not sure how does Siilaanyo benefit from instigating tribal conflict. It is not his interest and certainly not the people's interest.
15. @HawdMan said: Aslong as you stay in this kfra path may you and your children be punished continouesly . Hehe, habaar? This is first on SOL hehe.
16. Coofle, Tribalism is everywhere and it is not any less stinky than tribalism in Mogadishu. One will be fooling himself if he thinks people in Mogadishu are more tribalistic than those in other parts of Somalia. Due to its unique role in Somalia, Mogadishu's problems are far more complex than say those of Hargeisa, Garowe, Baydhabo, etc. This multi-layered complexity is what magnifies tribalism in Mogadishu.
17. Xabad, It does not matter what he means, I just don't buy his benevolence.
18. Mooge, Galbeedi can brag but don't tell me the university is doing anybody a favor.
19. They do go to schools in Garowe, Beled Weyne and even in Mogadishu as rockets are raining on them, even under the Ethiopian occupation. And they go to Sudan, India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Turkey, some on scholarships. You can brag but they don't tell us you are doing Somalis any favor. They pay their way to Camud as just like they do elsewhere. Don't say you are not bragging while. P.s. Northerners roam around the South freely.
20. @galbeedi said: 110 students from south and central Somalia atre graduating this year from Amoud. The big deference is we don't brag about it like Dr.Osman. "> Then why do you feel the need to post this and say you are not bragging? These kids are paying for their schooling, Camuud is not doing them any favor.
21. Galbeedi, are you convincing us or convincing yourself?
22. Hehe@Galbeedi, nagadaa ninyahow, by simple geography, Awdal does not have much of choice.
