  1. ‘That fool called me again’ ! Who's the fool now? the caller or the receiver?
  2. Arm yourself with the Dikr of Allah. Read Adkaar Sabaax wal Masaa regularly, if you can. Sura (Ra'ad) [28] "Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allâh: Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest. " May Allah help us all with his Dikr.
  3. Is this downloadable? If yes, is there a link? I would love to see it.
  4. We're not that bad. Are we?

  6. Originally posted by Fidel: I was born in Casa populare district in Mogadishu. The rest is a big blur of asylum applications and refugee hearings. So you're not from Havana? I prefer Somali_Anything than Somali_Arab. Somali & Arab can't be in the same basket.
  7. This is not a joke, but a hoax. It’s a lie about the sacred text of the Quran. The stated verse number (9:11) is Sura Towba and it’s speaking of repenting and keeping prayers. There’s no mention of eagle, wrath or son of Arabia. As a matter fact, I’ve never seen or heard the word “son-of-Arabia†mentioned in the Quran. Someone in the mindset of changing the Iraq War into religious war come up with this ridiculous joke. Look at these 9:11, son-of-Arabia, & wrath of the Eagle. I think we know what the three symbols stand for. It’s dishonest to misquoute the Quran and make it appear as a chain email joke. I found it offensive and I'd forward it to HR. Do they think Muslims don’t know the Quran well. Check the verse 9:11
  8. Inaa Lilaahi Wa inaa Ileyhi Raajicuun. Ilaahey ha u naxariisto Sheikh Axmed Firdowsana ha gaarsiiyo. Aamiin.
  9. The image took the whole page. Is that you Major General Cawad?
  10. Femme, The guy is weird. I visited the site and read some of the stuff. I took some of the things seriously but I think I know better now. Thanks. Shaking my head.
  11. Kafirphobia unfortunately still exists ... even when the nurse that helped bring us into this world was a kafir. Us who? You, (the author) & your siblings? Or me or Muslims? My nurse was Muslimah. We need less kafir-cursing, guns-a-blazin' folk and more likeable characters in our ummah. Is your character likeable? Generalizing the ummah isn't the way to go. You sure you're not advocating for integration or assimilation?
  12. I hear there are businesses that sell these kind of video tapes. Unbelievable. The last one Negro whooping is the best. If you're kind of slow like the guy in the clip, the hand makes sure you get the point quickly. Scary stuff. Some of these remind me my days back in HS.
  13. Mabruuk! Alle ha isku kiin barakeeyo! Guurkiina mid waara oo lagu liibaano Alle ha ka dhigo. Aamiin.
  14. Removing your Hijab will eventually lead us to assimilate further into a non-Muslim society and that may cause a complete loss of religion and culture. I support the sisters for refusing such advice. I hope these kinds of fataws will stop. I know the West will keep pushing the envelope as much as they can so that Muslims will someday became Muslims just by name. Can you image another Muslim scholar trying to remove scripts from the Qur’aan/Sunnah?
  15. I've not attacked the Shiek nor have I said he twisted the words but what I don't get is where does the Qur'an justify abondening the Hijab. All I'm trying to do is understand his reference to Quran/Hadith ruling. I see his reasoning but I don't see the evidence from the sunnah. The surah/ayah you mentioned does not indicated the justification for removing the Hijab. I doubt if the Sheikh is using 'DARUURA' necessity. May be he is. There’re Muslims out there who take mortgage with Riba under the terms of necessity. May Allah guide us & them. Does the Sheikh have an authentic proof from the Sunnah or is this another progressive Muslim leader that bends the Sharia for convenience? In Islam, forbidden things may be permitted in necessity cases, but it has to be thoroughly looked & evaluated.
  16. Fidel, are you pulling my leg? My nick is Ducaqabe not Ducaqabto.
  17. I still don't know where the Sheikh got this from: “He said the Koran justified abandoning the hijab, saying it should help Muslim women be "identified and not molested", but if it led to harassment the ruling was it should not be worn" Does anyone know what part of the Qur'an he's refering to? The Somali phrase "La jiifiyaa banaan" come to my mind!
  18. The problem is a lack of infrastructure and public institutions that provides such services. These kids will continue to die for preventable diseases as long as the warlords are in power. It is immature to think the solution lays in birth control. Somalis are going to have kids so long they remain on the planet. I think one way to find a solution is by making awareness and educating the public.
  19. Does Ducaqabe sound female? I hope this sets the record straight.
  20. Two things that are bad about Hijab!! Subxaanalaah! Saaxiib Xijaab iyo bad isku meel ma galaanee see camal?
  21. I would bring Cigaal Shidaad. He'll do all the hunting for me. At least I hope so.
  22. I'm still not worth saving. Oh my soul! Anyone knows a good consoler?
  23. Acuudka! Fidel, you want poison Liibaan?
  24. Fahad was a Muslim leader that passed away just like other Muslim leaders. I don't know how he's different than Sheikh Al Nahyan or Carafaat. They’re all alike. They supported Muslim and non-Muslims alike. What I don't get is the reason the media kept focusing the burial aspect of the funeral. They kept repeating these terms, Wahabi sect of Islam requires that he be buried just like others and not lowering of the flag. They seemed to be creating division in their reporting which is disgusting.
