Men always want to be a woman's first love - women like to be a man's last romance - Oscar Wilde

Got an interesting question for you NOMADS . Hadn't the war broken out and being exiled, how do you think your life would have been different? How do you think you'd have turned out? I'll narrate how I vision my life of aristocracy, riches and a thousand eligible bachelors at my doorstep later

Can you complete the song Juxa?

Somerican, What do you consider GAY tendencies? I hope you don’t equate feminine qualities with gay stereotype prima donna attitude.

^^ No, he means cash, like "here is a tenner for getting hitched". Bella, I'm never good with presents. But I always think new couples could use something useful for their new home - brand new bed sheets, kitchen stuff..etc. I like the money voucher idea too. Very flexible.

Well Stoic, I prefer to disregard all these findings as mere theories by a bunch of people under pressure to show something for what they do. It doesn’t seem like conclusive proof. Besides, its not the size of the hotdog that matters, its how you use it. And quite frankly, am for men embracing their feminine side. I don’t like little boys being dogged to fit into this image of a macho man at the expense of their emotions.

^ He wouldn’t know a compliment if it hit him in the face Rahima. Thanks to me and this thread, his recognition has catapulted to honourary status (Cant blv he is being invited for cross border coffee at MY expense!)…. But I’m not waiting for an infinitesimal show of gratitude. Nope. Not me. Not from Baashi. OH YEAH.. I know the answer. Oriental buffet, does the trick everytime.

This is too funny...

Amin to all that. Hope BOB is holding on well.

^Seems to me like you fancy going hungry.

The poll is off. If half the people on the site know, whats the point? p.s. I'm taking Zephyrine for dinner in 2.5hrs p.s.s. I dont know why I must be called a man-eater of all things. That really hurts (yes, even I am a human being with feelings sometimes ). But I guess I deserved it. I'll leave u alone Baashi. The "looming friendly confrontation" has been evaded.

Have you noticed how all the guys are looking for women to set them str8 maalmahan? "A strong woman to put me on the right path" "A women to make me a better person" "A women to tolerate my BS and help me better myself" All silly xcuses for being slackers. Half the guys and gals are sissies these days.

Rahima, explain Xaaji-Duul-Duul's poem to me, my Somali is limited to spoken Somali. And no worries about the spoiled sports (includin those voting no - hope you realize that no doesnt count and therefore if ur not voting yes, you might as well not bother )

I have heard this story. My cousin in Oman was telling me. But its not true. Just one of those weird rumours that make more rounds than normal. If any1 should turn into a monkey... or a four legged animal, it should be the foul mouthed media pigs in the west.... I hate it that Oman is associated with these black magic stories. I had plenty of opportunities to go into the interior regions of Oman but never went 'cause of these tales. They are specially said to be dominant (witches n ppl who do these things) in a region called Bahla. I dont blv them but I still wont go

Caasha patiently listens to her friend’s enthusiastic logic and reconsiders what she really thought about the whole test. …. But not wanting to let her friend get carried away in the love-psychosis… She says, “Sweetheart, I know you feel flattered and you should rightly be, but this just is … cowardly….and it stinks to be honest. Lets look at the letterâ€, Caasha shows the letter to Ceebla pointing out.. “Does this look like the sort of letter you write to some1 you completely don’t know? He loves you? How exactly? From where? See…â€, pointing to the second line … â€he cant even differentiate between their and there. How educated indeed!â€, Caasha proceeds to roll her eyes for dramatic effect to her sarcasm. Ceebla at this point is just startled at her inadequacy to see through the feign … the charlatan… Caasha continues, “This line about speeding his pulse seems like a sexual implication, what perv!... I could ask you to be my wife…â€, Caasha persists to read the rest of the paragraph with a silly smile on her face and says “What the hell is bound? Does he mean bond?â€, she raises her eyebrow and rolls her eyes again, “The last part is so gaalo-inspired, I wont even bother telling how unoriginal and downright appalling is it. Also love, the shoe stinks and the name is clearly misleading for such an hoodwink couldn’t possibly be swimming in legit cash†“The decision is yours…. But I would take the shoe back, with the letter and a pair of my stinky trainers and drop it on his doorstep or whereva he dwellsâ€.

Women do not have to sacrifice personhood if they are mothers. They do not have to sacrifice motherhood in order to be persons. Liberation was meant to expand women's opportunities, not to limit them. The self-esteem that has been found in new pursuits can also be found in mothering - Elaine Heffner
