Am proudly Kenyan n i can confidently say, Khalaf bro, u r wrong this tym round. Sijui's have no sense humor huh? Sister, i know all of that believe me. but it was funny to me and um sure to many others, racist kulaha sensitive folks......it's reer mudag jokes which made me laugh of course um not as funny as them and "sijui" is part of my roots, marka sometimes its okey not to be all serious. salaamun [/QB] My, my, my.........did u hear dat pple!It was 'just a joke' n we have 'no sense of humour'. i thot pple don use such lame excuses anymore. Nway Khalaf dear, all i want u to know is that u had a right to ask if its true 'sijui's' as u call us, all use sixir. but it was unfair for u to generalise on a sensitive topic u don have any info about and on top of that say it was 'a joke'. But the topic is closed for me. After all, it was 'only a joke' and i do have 'a sense of humour'. LOOOOL

  5. Asalaam caleykum, hEy pple. though am always kinda quiet, i found this topic a little interesting. the thing is, it was so surprising that most of you are completely easy about this deadly disease. Being in a Africa, i find it so irresponsible when i c young n old pple alike getting married without taking the test. i've come across innocent victims who are suffering immensely as a result of HIV/AIDS. Alxamdulillah, we are more informed about this disease because we are educated. Let us stand up and encourage people we know including ourselves to get tested. Let us put this attitude we have that AIDS isnt affecting Somalis aside because when it does it will be more destructive due to our deeply conservatism and polygamous society. I personally got tested last week even though i am absolutely sure about myself. Don get married before testing because u cant trust anyone but urself n even in marriage do not fear asking ur partner to get tested if u discover they might b unfaithful. BUt finally, let us all preserve our chastity before marriage and be faithful to our spouses once in it. HIV/AIDS is an global issue which we all need to be concerned about. May Allah protect us from this dreaded disease. Amiin

So in reality they get the best of both worlds unlike the "ones" that forgot about their life after death. Can they perform their share of work (if you know what I mean lol)? Of course they can. I mean they have the ability to control their souls and stand in the last hour of the night when the body is weak and fight the wars that nobody wants to fight, just imagine what they can do in private. So the truth is every women should strive to get a wadaad vise versa but there is just one problem. Allah has decreed that good men and for good women and good women are for good men so in the end, when it’s all said and done, you'll only get a person who resembles you in your actions. And Allah knows best Perfectly said by none other than the Almighty. That verse is one that gives me great comfort when am scared of ending up wit the wrong man. I would b blessed if i get a wadaad husband inshaallah.

I don’t wish to get into the argument about Islamic dress here. It’s too long, too complicated and, frankly, boring. However, I just want to pick you up on your comment about his books. This guy is an author writing fiction. His stories allow him to use his poetic licence and discuss anything and everything (within reason of course). To talk about some unislamic practices in a fictional story is not the same as advocating such practices. Maybe you should have read the whole book before making a judgment about the man’s personal ideas. Unless, of course, his style of writing and storytelling is what you didn’t like. ??? no matter how gud his literary ability is/was, i was disappointed with the behaviour of characters in his book.the book to most non-somalis reflect our culture b believes.i would never want anybody to think that way of us. i really expected more from a somali n most of all a MUSLIM coz thatz wat should guide as
  21. This is a really sad issue.tnx sis for bringing it up. u know, therez a lady i know whoz been sick for almost 5 yrz n shez got a young daughter, around 12 yrz of age whoz also been very sickly all her life. They came to Nairobi for treatment after trying TB drugz like for ever n so she went to hospital. The doctor suggested AIDS test for both of dem but she refused saying they wanted to infect her wid it. fInally, after alot of pursuasion she agreed for the daughter to b tested n she waz positive.she refused to take the ARV's n does believe the results so she went back to NEP with her kid.the worst part is she keeps gettin dvorced n re-marrying. I really feel terribly horrified for the Somali society.
