^^^ Allow me to thank you for that response. End of the matter.

I think his latest interview is his best yet. Mohamed Dheere while not useful to the TFG anyomre in my opinion the shift of power has left him stranded, still he has a way to get the average Somali's attention. I thought the one between Bashir Rage and Xasan Dahir on the BBC, was quite good as well. Everyday people realise that these men are not so big..

MMA, I understand you more every day. My point was to ask a frank question, stright and to the point. If I have doubts about someone I will ask them. My intention is not to ban Horn, Wind or anyone else. I aksed the individual in question, why he pretends, how does it benefit him? It is also not the first time you have put on your big hat, conerning my posts. I will take it as doing your job.

^^^ Horn nice post but I wonder why find it necessary to still hide behind the nom-degra Wind/Codetalker>?

BBC Somali News Xasan Vs Bashir A very insightful and thought provoking show, you have Bashir Raage Mogadishu's lates warmonger and the veteran Al-Itixad comander turned defender of the faith. They were given time and the questions from Yusuf Garad were strightforward. In my opinion Bashir needs a spokespesron for he was incoherent throught the show, while Xasan Dahir was to the point and compotent. What did you think?

The Arab League reaffirms support for Somali Unity
General Duke replied to QabiilDiid's topic in Politics
^^^ Ther Arab league have given the TFG some necessery support, the most important of has been diplomatic. As for Somalia, it was Abdiqasin and Ina Yey who have represented Somalia in 2000 & 2001 in the UN assembly. Where was Egal and Riyaale? The reality is Somaliland is like Puntland, Jubaland and all the other lands part of the republic of Somalia. No one needs to prove the oneness for that is in our blood, religion and customs. We are a single nation, and too small to break into clan fiefdoms which is what is proposed in Somaliland. Back to the topic, the Arab League is an important ewntity our biggest trade opartners are Arabs and the TFG has a relatiohsip with it the secesionist would love to have. As for the illusion of a peaceful North West, what was the clan wars between Egal & Tuur, big hooligans I guess. -
Debate: The international community must accept Hamas.
General Duke replied to N.O.R.F's topic in Politics
Hamas Victory Has Changed Everything by Ramzy Baroud There is a degree of surrealism in all of this. Hamas has presented its choice for prime minister to President Mahmoud Abbas, as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine says it has agreed in principle to join a Hamas-led government. In the Arab world, such political transformation (Islamists and Socialists working together to create a transparent and democratic parliament) is only possible in political satire, not as an attainable and healthy political process. But Palestinians – as the Hamas parliamentary victory sweep and the smooth transition of power have shown – are proving to be quite exceptional in this regard. It goes without saying that Palestinians and those who have genuinely supported their democratic insurgency have many reasons to be proud. Evidently, those who used democracy as a decoy to justify their grievous foreign policies or to defend their unwarranted military occupation are now being forced into an unpleasant era of "soul searching" – as proposed by the Financial Times. Hamas, not knowingly, perhaps, has abruptly deprived Washington of its last card in a Middle East foreign policy game, which was already in tatters. Delivering democracy was – until Hamas' political rise – Washington's strongest, albeit murkiest, pretext to justify its military presence in the Middle East. Other pretexts also proved to be a sham; weapons of mass destruction and all. Even the war on terror logic was turned upside-down, as post-Saddam Iraq became a terror magnet, a term liberally used by U.S. policymakers. Nothing was left but the good old democracy pretense, which worked well until Palestinians cast their vote on that critical day in late January. The majority voted for Hamas, not because of its Islamic agenda, but because of its uncompromising anti-corruption platform, its stance on Palestinian rights, and the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza. Those who understand the intricacies of the Arab-Israeli conflict must have also decoded the vote as a strong rejection of the U.S. government's dubious role in the conflict and in abetting Israel's defiance of international law. According to the deliberately ambiguous terminology of pro-Israeli fan clubs in Washington, the Palestinian vote reflected an emphatically "anti-American" stance, a most dishonest title indeed. Chances are, U.S. foreign policy pundits will carry on with their democracy media parade. However, as we have already seen, the democracy rhetoric will begin to erode, losing its tangible associations and resorting almost exclusively to rosy and indefinable assertions. In short: "Think Again: Middle East Democracy," as an article title in Foreign Policy sums it up. The authors suggested, and rightly so, that the "U.S. wants democracy in the Middle East – to a point." However, it seems that Palestinians have somehow taken democracy a little too far. Prior to the Hamas victory, the Middle East democracy train seemed to be chugging along at a calculated speed with fantastic speeches and more or less favorable outcomes, from a U.S. foreign policy perspective. From the much-touted, grand democratic experiments in Iraq and Egypt to the much less popular yet equally consequential local or municipal elections in various Gulf states, the status quo – with its pending U.S. interests – seemed well preserved. Even the seemingly containable tremor caused by the Muslim Brotherhood's poll results in Egypt failed to bend the Bush administration's will of carrying on tailoring democracy to the Arabs. But then, Hamas' surprising victory changed everything. There should be no illusions that a Hamas elections victory and its aftermath have not changed the parameters of the raging conflict: Palestinians are still as ever an occupied nation and Israel is still the occupier. Nonetheless, the Hamas takeover of power underlines – aside from the limitations of military occupation – the lack of sincerity on the part of the U.S. administration and the Israeli government in the former's "push for democracy" and the latter's boasting about its own democracy being the one and only. Needless to say, having Hamas in power places both the U.S. and Israel in a terrible conundrum. The Israeli one is obvious: never before has Israel dealt with a Palestinian "partner" so decisive in its demands and objectives, and so unreceptive to bribery or intimidation. Even at the height of its "unilateral" jargon, Israel knows well that without a "moderate" Palestinian leadership, little can be achieved toward a state of security for Israel while Palestinian rights and freedoms are shamelessly denied. But the Bush administration debacle, in my opinion, transcends the geographic boundaries of the Israel-Palestinian conflict to the much more far-reaching political and strategic setting in the entire Middle East, to its quandary with "political Islam" and the disgruntled "rascal multitudes" – to borrow a Chomsky term – of the Arab and Muslim world, so fractious and so eager to take charge of their own destiny – perhaps through the ballot box. Indeed, the Bush administration finds itself in a greater political mess than thought possible. Weaseling its way out of its "commitment" to democracy in the Middle East is easier said than done. Every other pretext to justify U.S. imprudence in terms of foreign policy and unconditional financial and military backing of Israel – no longer the "only democracy in the Middle East" – has long been exploited if not exhausted altogether. Until an alternative policy is devised – chances are, a new U.S. doctrine dealing with unfavorable democracy outcomes in the Middle East is currently being concocted – the U.S. and Israel will resort to every form of bullying, intimidation, and pressure to completely sideline the relevance of the new Palestinian government or to "oust" Hamas, a joint plot recently leaked by U.S. media. The hope is to discredit then overthrow a Hamas-led government without having to overhaul its entire democracy project, whose demise would be much more consequential than the removal of a movement branded terrorist. Only time and more media-leaked plots will reveal what is to transpire. However, the early signs – of Israel's intention to starve Palestinians through sanctions, coupled with an unequaled enthusiasm among U.S. lawmakers to punish Palestinians for electing Hamas – make the coming Israeli and U.S. foreign policy course even more predictable. While Israel sees little harm in making Palestinians a whole lot thinner as a result of its economic sanctions, the U.S.' rash response in chastising Palestinians will likely scar U.S. credibility, or whatever remains of it. -
Ayaan Hirsi Ali - A trashy woman who looks like a mildly rehabilitated crack-whore, she spent much of the 1990's shacked up with the euro-trash film-maker Theo Van Gough who made porno flicks depicting naked women with Quranic verses tattooed on their bodies. Ms Ali and Mr Van Gough insisted on merely making reasoned criticism of Islam despite denoting all Muslims as 'goat******s'. The best description thus far of what and who Ayaan Hirsi is..Enjoyed it very much.

One hundred percent, this is much better than Mogadishu.
General Duke replied to raadamiir's topic in Politics
It is an investment well worth making," he adds, "because stability in Somalia would mean a great deal for the stability of Africa and even the security of the world. Somalia is very strategically located in the Horn of Africa. A prosperous Somalia could be a real gateway to an economically vibrant Africa." Insha Allah Somalia will understand its own importance..One day soon -
^^^ Brother you have a point, everyone must change. Abdullahi must change the perception held of him by a large section of the population. Yet my belive is that individual interest must not be diguised as a clan interest or the interest of a group. What these warlords want is prolonging the agony, thats why supporting this government is impotant because for once they are holed up, they are desperate, they are working oertime to derail peace. The Somali nation is close to losing a million souls this year because of drought, who are we looking to help? May be Oxfam & ICRC might do a bit but in the end no one will help those who are to ignorant to help themselves...
-
Xarago, We must clarify my cause, mine is not to support Abdullahi or anyone per se. I assure you I am a young man and thus will insha Allah support others who come after Abdullahi, so long as they share the vision of restoring the Somali state back to the people. To be fair what you have is difficulty of looking beyound my clan, however thats your problem to overcome. Now for the interesting part of your questions, why I still support Abdullahi, because he is true to the principles of the unity, restoration of peace and bringing change to our failed state. The warlords on the other hand are interested in an air strip. technicals and couple of streets. They think small, and thats not my fault. So Mr Dheere has fallen for that problem, instead of bringing about change, he has become bogged down in thinking about Jowhar, which is small.

^^^ Revoloution did you say, which one. The French, Russain, or even American? Which revoloution are you alluding to now? Why do we need a revoloution, do the mighty maximus [Russel Crow] men need the people to help? Why should they, are they not capable enough to lead us to guide us without needing our assistance? Revoloution he says and I was waiting for starships full of blonde haired blue eyed Falasha..
-
^^^ Xarago, my cause is just. I want a restoration of state power, not clan power or disunity. Who does the current situation benefit? no one is the simple answer. Look no single clan is powerful enough to control the city of Mogadishu let alone Somalia. The warlords in Xamar are playing an old game. They will lose because they wont compromise, their is all about today there is no principlesbehind their actions. They care for no one. Their ambition is too short and narrowly focused. The day they compromise even within themselves is when I will break a sweat. As for the courts, if they show they can be flexible enough and take control of Mogadishu, then why should anyone oppose them? They are Somali's the difference is they have principles, all they have to do is apply it and the people will follow.

'They' the mighty men in a mission: a mission to pacify Somalia: the nation is crying for them, yearning their name every moment "come back we long for you", and they shall return, the mighty maximum of men shall return!!!! Oh dear friend thanks for those comments, you do give us hope. Yet you still are talking in riddles. I mean how will the mighty men on a mission return? On a boat as refugees or in starships? Where are they know? Are they Somali or Afar or Falasha? Where will they return from, are they on Never neverland, Gaza, or Camden town? Be so kind, more info requires

Xarago, says " I repeat in another form, how was Maxamed dhere usefull" In my opinion Mr Dheere was useful in the time when the warlords were hel bent on destroying this government he underestimated Abdullahi and tried to gain from this, however unwittingly he gave the TFG a chance. His recent comments are a testement to this specially the ones about the wepons not going to his troops. I belive he has made his moves quite late, Also the warlords in the alliance against terror, are against a powerful court at the same time if you look closer, where is Ato, Furux, Aideed, Abdiqasin, Seerar and others of that grouping in this alliance? This alliance is a god send fort those who support the national cause. They [warlords] have lost the little support they had with their own war on terror.
-
^^^ Indeed "they" shall return, but who exactly will return to where? I find it quite interesting and somewhat drawn to this prediction and the certinty in your delivery. I hope "they" return, for why not if they will lead us to the promise land, to the land of milk and honey. But when they return how will we know, are they giants, or do they travel in green space ships. What sign or soothsayer, shall we look for? Are they white with blonde hair, Aryan super men. Or are they rastas? Do tell..
-
Who should one address here? The meaning behind this topic is stright forward Mr Dheere was useful but no more, so what must the President do, simple suprise us a little bit more. Thats my advice. As for the warlords they have bigger problems then Mr YEY, their masters are results driven, will they get the men on the wanted list, can they? Will the MP's from Mogadishu support the new alliance? It is not over till the fat lady sings, the warlords are in a real dilema, their opposition to Yey can no longer mask their incompetence and ********* . The clan card has blown up. I am all powerful because I posses forty technicals means very little since last week.

It seems like Mohamed Dheere has served his purpose. Max’ed Dheere waxa uu kasoo horjeestay codsigii madaxweyne C/llaahi Yuusuf uu kaga dalbaday baarlamanka in ay ansixiyaan cunaqabatada dhanka hubka in laga qaado dalka Soomaaliya si ciidamada nabad ilaaliyayaasha ay ugu suurta gasho in ay hubka dhigis ka sameeyaan dalka Soomaaliya. “hubka kii hore ayaa dhiib noo keenay, maxaa yeelay haddii la qaado cunaqabatada waxaa dalka soo galaaya hub farabadan, marka waan kasoo horjeednaa dhib kale in loo gaysto shacabka Soomaaliyeed†ayuu yiri Max’ed Dheere. Hadalka Max’ed Dheere ayaa u muuqda mid kala noqday taageerada dowladda fedaraalka kmg ah ee Soomaaliya oo markii hore xarun kumeel gaar ah ka dhigatay magaalada Jowhar ee uu ka taliyo. Max’ed Dheere oo maalmahaan kulamo xiriir ah la yeelanayay wasiirada hubaysan ee Muqdisho oo ku caan baxay khilaafka, taasoo bog cusub u furaysa khilaafka u dhaxeeya masuuliyiinta dowladda. The warlords are for once all united. Mr Dheere, Qaynyare, Yalaxow have made a front against the interest of peace. Its important to note that for once that those who support them can only hide behind the clan, for the simple fact the men who once hated Jowhar for several reasons are now comfortable to meet in it. An expected gut reaction move from the warlords. Their battle against the courts has alianated some of their support base. Their reluctance to support the TFG, and their consistant aim of derailing any government programm, will in the end destroy their dreams of keeping the people subjucated to their will. We ahve seen how powerful they are wehn they faced the few fighters of the courts. All eyes on Baidoa, even though they weild some power within a number of MP's including the speaker..

What have you done for Somalia? Not as much as I could. May Allah give me the courage and the patiance to help my beloved country. Amin.

^^^ I think some here spoke too soon. Xabsade is out, Faroole is out [with guns blazing], Xaji Bakin and some others are out more subdued. and things are changing slowly. Cade has many difficulties and inherited a corrupt system where certian men have carved out their own personal power basis [ministries] he has today gained the support of parliment and declared a state of emergency, stating that he will deal with all those who want to harm the stability of the state. Those who insult him for being a "Boqor" or having a sickness, only highlight their own clanish and deep sense of insecurity. As I know of, the old man is no more clanish then the rest of the clowns in our country. There is change in the air. we hope its all for the best.
