President Kibaki meets President Yusuf on Somali peace Written By:pps , Posted: Wed, Jan 03, 2007 Caption: President Mwai Kibaki receives President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed of Somalia who paid him a courtesy call at State House Mombasa President Mwai Kibaki today held a consultative meeting with Somali President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed at State House Mombasa. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the resurgence of fighting that is threatening to derail the peace process in Somalia. The President of the Transitional Federal Government of the Republic of Somalia briefed President Kibaki on the recent developments in his country. President Kibaki, who is currently the chairman of IGAD, expressed his personal commitment to the peaceful resolution of the Somali conflict, saying Kenya cannot enjoy peace when her neighbours are at war. He appealed to the parties involved to put aside their differences and embrace dialogue as a way of restoring peace and stability in the war-torn country. Earlier, President Kibaki had chaired a national security committee meeting at State House Mombasa.

^^^Indeed a recognised government has more options than a phantom clan state like Somaliland. Thus Geedi also has erred in the past but has learned his lesson. ^^^Hypotheticals aside, NEITHER leaders have said anything, it was Aydeed Jr who shot himself in the foot. He has said he was misunderstood and he meant something else. My advice, keep quite saxib.
