They do not agree on the regional ssc proposed state by some sections of the garaad clan ,they also do not agree to join the Garowe enclave. In the Past they were divided between two Administrations Somaliland and the Garowe Admin. Now they are divided into 3 camps.

Ximan iyo xeeb and Galmudug should unite and should form a larger federal state with in Somalia.This will be a good effort to unite the two brotherly states and it will benefit the People of Galmudug and ximan iyo xeeb as a whole. And they should use Hobyo as a port city and dhuusomareeb as the capital city of the state and the political atmosphere of the region will totally change in a positive way. As one elder stated “This community stands in solidarity with the oppressed people of O'gaden,” The event was organized by the O'gaden Youth and Student Union of San Diego a youth wing of OAC San Diego, and it was to raise awareness about the current dire situation taking place in the O'gaden, where thousands of people are being rounded up and being systematically killed by Ethiopian government forces and its sponsored militias. The event highlighted many crucial aspects about the current plight of the O'gaden people in Ethiopia. The O'gaden region of Ethiopia is today one of the worst crisis taking place in East Africa. Millions of people are facing starvation, government repression, and environmental disaster. This year’s lack of rainfall has further deteriorated the already dire humanitarian crisis that has been taking place in the O'gaden since 2007. The humanitarian, economic and political blockade placed on the O'gaden by the Ethiopian government has destroyed and continues to destroy hundreds of thousands and millions of lives. Many genocide observers and human rights groups have raised serious concerns about the current situation in the O'gaden, and many have called it a hidden genocide.
