Do you know in 1901 when the dervishes attacked Jigjiga who were on the side the Menelik forces , who tried to Kill the Mullah and called him a laangaab only his closest cousin and uncle were on his side and let him escape. Actually your greatest poet Qamaan buxlan called him a thief to , The Mullah took Qamaan bulxans most beautiful wife after dagaalki dayuuradaha and they fled to Ethiopia.

Are they saying the Daraawiish was not a clan movement but a national movement (even though everyone knows this) or are they saying Idaajaa & Co. left out doorkii SNMka in the movement? It was not a national movement it was a religious movement inspired by the Meccan Sheikh of the Saalixiya order Muxammad ibn Salax. Haatu have u ever read the book of Aw jamac he wrote 3 books r read his 3 books and read the seventeen trips through Somaliland and just compare the 2 books. You will be surprised start with his book Taariikhdii daraawiishta iyo Sayid Maxamed Cabdille Xasan, 1895-1920. There were so many missing points fabrications of events on who took part of what raid and complete new creations of Khusuusi members. Also from 1909 until 1915 Aw jamac minimized the attacks the Dervishes raided much of the Garaad clan and took their stock. While those attacks were the most deadliest. He also created new fictive members who mere junior members of the Dervish movement. Most of his books and records were 50 years after the dervishes were defeated. If there was an actual Somali source at the time of the wars we could have taken that into consideration but this is not the case.

  5. Ahaa the Dervish history one of my favorite its always good to read the dervish horse riders although the kacaan gave their version, the history books speak for themselves. To bad we dont have actual Somali literature about the dervish movement written in the late 19 century early 20th century. There are a few records in Aden about the early stage of the dervish movement but i yet have to see them its written in Arabic i have been told. There is one book i like though i think garoodi quoted some of it , its called Seventeen Trips Through Somaliland by carlos swayne, i think Aw jamac used this book to as guidance although he gave his clanish twist and illustrated his clan as gladiators at the battle of Fardhadin and beer dhiga. Iskaa daa rag bu rag ka daba geynayey eh
  6. Its not complex its not a real conflict there are no clan or water disputes in the hawd this is was a man that was killed so i dont see this as the gaashaamo clan versus the garaad clan this is not happening , maybe some people like that to happen. But this is not the case
  7. Mooge there was no clan clash just a revenge killing nin meesha joogay

  13. If there is even the size of Yemen of oil it will help, there is always interests for oil when it comes to western powers.
  14. Whats the point of talking what is going to happen in the next 500 to 1000 years if not more who knows if the world even exists maybe it will jawmal qiyaama before that. Somaliweyn is an idealistic concept but it has no real strong foundation on the ground, i dont see how Somalis in Kenya can gain independence when oil was just found, there is a chance the Somali region of Ethiopia to be free. But i doubt that they want to be under Somalia.
  15. I am sure there is oil but Somaliland should be careful about what kind of deals it reaches with oil companies. Oil also will help with Somaliland quest for recognition. Do we have sources that indicate what percentage the oil companies will take and what percentage Somaliland.

  17. Ethno nationalism should never be a base for a country national identity, Albania and kosovo are ethnic Albanians, Somaliweyn is like people who advocate for greater Albania parts of Macedonia parts of serbia. Or people who advocate Tigray Eritrea unity,or the people who call for the unity of Rwanda and Burundi. Unity if it is not based on equality based on mutual interest it never works you will only get more conflict.I did not even mention the Arab Nations the Khaleeji one why would one khaleej country be under the other. The only way i can possibly think a Somaliweyn can ever exist is if there is giant political unity institution such as the European union. But every country keeps its national status identity country government army but it will be one of cooperation only. But i doubt we can even reach that style of cooperation in our life time. U just have to look at the Mogadishu Jubbaland conflict. Or the Somalia Somaliland conflict
  18. Thread gone wrong again why do people always need to inject woman into this war xishooda. And its ramadan laqwiga hala yareysto
  19. Muslims should attend Tarweeh prayers nights. Even though, it is not obligatory for a Muslim to pray Tarweeh, without a valid excuse, he will be questioned in the Day of Judgement why he did not pratice a strong Sunnah of the Prophet (sws) during the holy month of Ramadan. The Prophet stated," Whoever observes night prayer in Ramadan as an expression of his faith and to seek reward from Allah, his previous sins will be blotted out."(Muslim) However, the Prophet did not practice Taraweeh daily in the nights of Ramadan in the masjid because he feared that it would become mandatory (fardh) on his Ummah."The Messenger of Allah (saas) observed Taraweeh prayer in the Masjid one night and people prayed with him. He repeated the following night and the number of participants grew. The companions congregated the third and fourth night, but the Messenger did not show up. In the morning he told them, "I saw what you did last night, but nothing prevented me from joining you except my fear that it might be made mandatory on you in Ramadan." Number of Raka'ats in Taraweeh As for the number of raka'ats in Taraweeh and Witr, the worthy ancestor, Salaf as-Saalih disagreed on the amount of Raka'ats. These numbers are mentioned for raka'ats: 39, 29, 23, 19, 13, and 11 raka'ats. Of all the numbers mentioned, none is sounder than 11 raka'ats. 'Aishah (raa) was asked how was the prayer of the Prophet (saas)? She replied: "He did not pray in Ramadan or some other times more than eleven raka'ats." (Muslim/Bukhari)
