  4. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb Mansha Allah jazaaka laah kheyr sis for the information. May Allah all make us the who love each other for Allah sake, & the one's who remaind each other about our beautiful deen. May Allah reword u (Amin)
  5. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb There r Jaahil’s (knowledge less) & ignorant people who lead u to satan world. U need to fight against them & have strong faith in Allah. What u do is b/w u & Allah. Covering up & following Allah’s rules, that’s for each individual benefits. As for others telling ya to take the hijab off. they telling ya to disobey Allah’s rule which is sin. Satan is enemy to us, he will use in any way to persuade u, whether is through ur friends, relatives & etc. it depends what kind ppl u hang around with, & what sort of environment u mostly at. It also depends how strong ur faith in Allah is, if the non cover ppl see in u weakness their will hunt u down until they make u one of them. That is an act of satan. U know what they say friends can lead u to wrong path. I also believe u committing a sin by telling others to take their hijab off. (Walahu Aclam). Cuz u not wearing it or u not into religion that doesn’t give u the right to tell others to disobey the rule of Allah. U committing a sin by leading them to wrong way. Is not up to us to judge others, Allah judge each one of us. kool kat really got tired of listening to her BS, and asked why did she decide to wear the hijaab... She said since her father died, she's been scared of death... The sister is confused & wants to change towards Allah. She is tempted by her friends. By remembering death is what makes humans fear Allah S.W.C. death remainders us the life after & what we worked for in order to succeed. Therefore by remembering it directs u to the right path & the fear of Allah. Is one of the first steps. “A one who forgets death is a one who forgot his creator”, I think that was hathis or ayah I am not sure. There is another hadith that says, if wake up in the morning don’t think u will make it in the afternoon a life, if u r in afternoon don’t think u will make it at night & so on”. The meaning of this hadith is to remaind us death is waiting for us, our time in this earth is limited & we should make use our time by worshiping Allah. Not to waste something that could leads us to sin. No doubt we all will die but the question is have u made enough good deeds to lead u into jannah? <------That is what i call fear of death. Sorry if I offended ya. Peace

  7. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb Waaaaaw that was quick response kamila to explain what Fijaan means somalilanders use it instead of shaash saar that south use. The only difference Fijaan is guys festival that they have fun joking & testing each other while opening the fijaan. They rape the Fijaan in difficult way, it has a lot of tricky rules to open it. Another word fijaan is muqmad oo weel lagu shubay. Hope u understood what it means. Cooking Sabaayad or Canjeero / Laxoox
  8. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb shushumoo & duulsho I love shushumow heheh he comes the trick part, those who only know what these two things mean choose one the others i am sorry. Fijaan or Shaash saar
  9. Indeed is a beautiful & enlightening story for all of us. Is a story with lesson to be learned from. Look how patient & faithful both prophets are Yacqub & yusuf. I just compared what is the different b/w their faith & ours. If something so little happens to us for example, the Internet connection is so slow, we suddenly get inpatient & upset (Subxana laah). Indeed there are lessons to be learned from prophet yusuf salalaahu Aleyhi salaatu wasalaam. I learned: - 1. Jealousy is a very harmful disease that is enemy to our hearts which can turn our hears a part. 2. I also leaned if u believe in Allah fully u will get whatever u ask Allah. 3. The other thing I learned was patience is the key of life, without patient u r unsuccessful. 4. Faith (Iman) without faith u can not succeed in this life 5. Never get tied of making du’a to Allah no matter how many times u r making it. 6. Be forgiving no matter what happened to you. 7. never be tempted by the beauty (wealth, women or etc) of this earth, that can lead u to sin. P.s mujahid bro thanx fro remanding us this beautiful story that is a very good lesson which is based in our daily life. As for the issue not many ppl responding, it could be lack of knowledge that they don’t know about the great story of prophet yusuf. So if u would have posted, for those who haven’t heart the story b4would have benefit it. And more likely to state what they learned from it. That is just suggestion. Forgive me if I offended u in any way. May Allah reward u Peace.
  10. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb I found this good article that i thought i would share it with ya. Have nice time reading it The Status of Two Who Love One Another for the Sake of Allah Many hadith describe the status of two people who love another for the sake of Allah (SWT), whether they are men or women, and describe the high position in Paradise which Allah (SWT) has prepared for them and the great honour which He will bestow upon them on the Day when mankind is resurrected to meet the Lord of the Worlds. It is sufficient honour for those who love one another for the sake of (SWT), men and women alike, to know that their almighty Lord will take care of them on the Day of Judgement and will say: "Where are those who loved one another for My glory? Today I will shade them in My shade on the Day when there is no shade but Mine." Such is the magnificent honour and tremendous reward that will be bestowed upon those who truly loved one another for the sake of Allah (SWT), on that awesome Day. Love for the sake of Allah (SWT), and not for the sake of anything else in life, is very difficult, and none can attain it except the one who is pure of heart, for whom this world and all its pleasures are as nothing in comparison with the pleasure of Allah (SWT). It is not surprising that Allah (SWT) should give them a status and blessing which is commensurate with their position in this world, above whose concerns they have risen. We see proof of this in the hadith of Mu`adh, who said that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Allah (SWT) said: `Those who love one another for My glory will have minbars (pulpits) of light, and the Prophets and martyrs will wish that they had the same." Allah (SWT) bestows upon those who love one another for His sake a gift which is even greater than this status and blessing: that is His precious love which is very difficult to attain. This is proven by the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (RAA) in which the Prophet (PBUH) said: "A man went to visit a brother of his in another village. Allah (SWT) sent an angel to wait for him on the road. When the man came along, the angel asked him, `Where are you headed?' He said, `I am going to visit a brother of mine who lives in this village.' The angel asked, `Have you done him any favour (for which you are now seeking repayment)?' He said, `No, I just love him for the sake of Allah (SWT).' The angel told him, `I am a messenger to you from Allah (SWT), sent to tell you that He loves you as you love your brother for His sake.'" What a great love, that raises a person to a position where Allah (SWT) loves him and is pleased with him! The Prophet (PBUH) understood the impact of this strong, pure love in building societies and nations, so he never let any occasion pass without advocating this love and commanding the Muslims to announce their love for one another, in order to open hearts and spread love and purity among the ranks of the ummah. Anas (RAA) said that a man was with the Prophet (PBUH), when another man passed by. The first man said, "O Messenger of Allah (SWT), indeed I truly love this man." The Prophet (PBUH) asked him, "Have you let him know that?" He said, "No." The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Tell him." He caught up with him and told him, "Truly I love you for the sake of Allah (SWT)," and the man said, "May Allah (SWT) love you who loves me for His sake." The Prophet (PBUH) used to do the same thing himself, teaching the Muslims how to build a society based on pure love and brotherhood. One day he took Mu`adh by the hand and said, "O Mu`adh, by Allah (SWT) I love you, so I advise you, O Mu`adh, never forget to recite, after every prayer, `O Allah (SWT), help me to remember You and to give thanks to You and to worship You properly." Mu`adh began to spread this pure love among the Muslims throughout the Muslim lands, telling them what he had learned from the Prophet (PBUH) about the great reward that Allah (SWT) had prepared for those who loved one another for His sake, and about His great love for them. In al-Muwatta', Imam Malik gives a report with a sahih isnad from Abu Idris al-Khulani who said: "I entered the mosque of Damascus, where I saw a young man who had a bright smile, and I saw the people gathered around him. When they disagreed on some matter, they referred it to him, and accepted his opinion. I asked who he was, and they told me, `This is Mu`adh ibn Jabal (RAA).' Early the next day, I went to the mosque but I found that he had arrived even earlier than I. He was praying, so I waited until he had finished, then I approached him from in front, greeted him and said, `By Allah (SWT), I love you.' He asked, `For the sake of Allah (SWT)?' I said, `For the sake of Allah (SWT).' He repeated his question, `For the sake of Allah (SWT)?' And I said, `For the sake of Allah (SWT).' So he took hold of my collar, pulled me towards him and said, `I have good news for you. I heard the Prophet (PBUH) say: "Allah (SWT) says: "My love is granted to those who love one another for My sake, who visit one another for My sake, and who spend on one another for My sake.'"

  12. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb We do it cuz of Islaweyni. We r very high of ourselves, we tend to think we the best. Therefore that is where sepration from each other comes in. The other thing is we r lack of knowledge interms of Islam religion. Little do we know what most of us practice is forbiden. The other thing i noticed is waxey dunida intiisa kale ka ilbaxeen ayee soo mali wali ku danbeysaa, wax waliba oo xun oo laga ilbaxay waan ku dhaqanaa.

  15. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb very imformative indeed. Jazaaka Laah kheyr sisters xafsa & Xamdiya may Allah reward ya. And may Allah make us the ones that see each other in paradise (Amin)
  16. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb I agree with lulla, abdinuur, Taqwa & xafsa. Is fantastic idea walaahi  . No matter what kind help it is & how big it is. surely it will make big difference. And b4 we jump a head of our selfes like dealing political stuffs. We should fucus on dying kids & very ill people that have no one to relay on. like lulla said we could establish a an organisation & open and account for that organisation, collect money from each other every month whether is $10 or $20 or whatever u can even if it is 0.50 cents & donate it to those kids. Remember nomads nothing is impossible, anything can be achieved if there is commitment & intrest. So for Allah sake let's help others, we were lucky to be here why can't we give something back to the ones that need it. I am sure we waste $10 or more $$ for nothing when somali kids r dying 4 hunger.
  17. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb Horse Caano geel (camel milk) or Caano Lo (caw milk)
  18. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb I Agree with both of youse. The only hope we have is The Rahmatul Laah. & for us to change our attitude towards Allah. In that way we will get our reword but if we continue to go on like this, we will be lost nation. Like Allah said in the Qur'aan qofkii cibaada deyda ka jeesta ana waan ka jestaa. (Ilahay ayaan ka magan galnay taa). P.s Dantay1 I thought we r only 7 Million not 10. I remember reading 7 Million from a lot of tex books. After the war we were like 5 million cuz some left & the other died occording to one book. Allahu yaclam.
  19. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb She is lost lady that only got left fame in her life, which she is taking the advantage of getting sympathy from the west by lying. She humiliated our ppl in both her books, on the media, TV, Newspapers & magazines. Her countless attacks on Somalis are way out of control. So I don’t think she even worth being mentioned or even being concerned what she says. Nomads I would not recommend u to waste ur money on her books, u won’t found other than anger & humiliations so safe ur $$ or give it up for charity. I read her frist book & it was complete lie  I couldn’t even finish the book. Waad ku danbaabi walaahi xanaaq awgii. Bachelor just visit this link u would find info of her http://www.fgmnetwork.org/articles/Waris.htm Especially look under CHILD OF THE DESERT, BECOMING WOMEN & THE MARRIAGE. That will tell u what a lier she really is.
  20. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb I add this poem that i posted long time a go which is similar than to ur poems. Hope u dont' mind. Somalia my shining country My spirit of life that keeps me going Day and night I picture u in my heart Wishing I was in my own land Wishing I was setting under big gumtrees No need to turn on air-condition or heater no air pollution Just laying there enjoying Somali’s natural weather It’s country gifted by Allah natural resources No food chemical & food engineering A warm milk that is just being milked from a cow A fresh meat slaughtered same day Fresh vegetables Together we are undefinable nation Full of energy & educated people I have being to so many countries Seen new technology & so-called modern world Yet there is no place like home The true nature, its fresh resources & unique life Are unchallengeable Or Perhaps we not all that….. I ask myself every minute If Somalia is a gift from Allah Why are we enemies? Why are we so ignorant? Why can’t we say Alhamdulilah & get on life? Why do we have to divide ourselves? We share one religion & one culture Yet we fighting We are educated people yet can’t civilise We say we not tribalist yet we fund the world-loads We say we want peace yet refuse to support the current government. We say we Muslims yet obeying tribalism We live foreigner countries together Still the problems exist. My heart breaks to see our people like this They live in one country, yet Every tribe lives different suburbs We educate our kid’s tribalism We want no other different tribe to mix with us I wonder when this corruption will ever end? We say we are not hopeless yet we are actionless What is our future? I sit here wondering If Somalia my Shining country will ever recover? I have one hope For Allah to re-unite our hearts And to open our eyes to reality

  23. Asalaamu Aleikum WR WB To answer ur q I would probably feel sorry for her severing in this world & the life after. secondly i would have asked Allah to direct her to the right path. Is just so sad she is destroying our Muslim name, that is what I would have worried about the most. About ur other question whether singing & music in general haram or not visit this pages http://www.themodernreligion.com/misc/hh/music.html http://ummah.net/alsalafyoon/EnglishPosts/music.html It just makes me scared when this music is on everywhere we go, whether is in the shops, work, hospitals & etc. Sometimes is hard to ignore but may Allah safe us.
