  8. Asalaamu aleikum wr wb An idea occurred to me while I was surfing in Islamic section. Surely we are all keen learning about our beautiful religion. How about if we quiz each other, ask questions not particularly to any1 but to all of us. That question should be about our beautiful religion so we could all benefit from it. It doesn’t matter if it is a hard question or basic question. The aim of this game is so we could all learn from each other. For examplesize 8> I ask question like how many sura’s in the qur’an? Someone else comes & answers it. 114 sura’s in the qur’an. Then the person will ask another question, as soon as they answer the previous question. If no one knows the answer, then the person who asked the question should come back and answer the question clearly. Remember this game is not to taste how good is ur Islamic knowledge. No the aim of this game is to teach each other & learn from each other. Surely we are all students, so let’s help each other & at the same time have fun.
  9. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr WB Nice topic & thanx for sharing ur experiences sister muslimah & Ilham. My only experience that I come across most of the times is staring & bad attitude towards my hijab. They keep asking me like u wearing it cuz of the cold or ur father is forcing u to wear it or ur male relatives. I also came across some rude ppl who once told me to take it off cuz men r taking advantage of u they want to rule the ladies & keep them in the hood. I was so mad & gave them the response they deserve. another lady once told me to take it off cuz it is covering my beauty. when I told her that is the point, she look at me in strange way & said u rather be ugly & have no men to looked at u. lost lady walaahi. Almost every time when I apply work I got discriminated or rejected cuz of my hijab. And when I am at work some gaalo when they see me they look at me like they had some sort of electric shock can’t believe I am working there. Some of them ignore me or look at me up & down (huruuf), like they seen alien. Alhamdulilah I can’t complain most of the times is ok but every now & then above things do occur. Which I don’t take it to heart cuz I am in their land after all. As for Somalis I must agree with sister Ilham there r some who r so ignorant when they see u r muxajabah they totally lower u down & disrespect u. like they r higher then u. And most of those ppl think u wear the hijab cuz ur prance is forcing ya. Alhamdulilah Allah is guiding me & may Allah stronger all the muhajib girls their faith. (Amin).
  10. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb I will go 4 Everybody Loves RaymonD the guy is funny & cake lover lol . Winter or Summer
  11. Asalaamu Aleikum WR WB First of all sister Muslimah wlc to somaliaonline glad u could join us here . & certainly glad to see ur first post was in Islam section & an enlighting one keep up the good work, may Allah reward ya (Amin). True this days we tend to put off marriage later. Thanx for the post indeed we needed a remainder. May Allah direct all the youth & single people to the right path (Amin). Ilhayna farjiga hanoo xafido (Amin).
  12. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb Well to me there was a time I wanted what most sisters here stated. But now I realized it was all fantasy & no required stuff. Cuz a non practicing islam man or a man who only practices the religion a bit. Is not wat I needed for long term, that will only shift me to the fantasy world. Beauty fads away, so as youth-ness. The only thing will remain is his personality, Iman & habit. If he hasn’t got those three quality in Islam values. then he is picture only. To get to the point, sexy to me is Average looking (I don’t like a handsome men cuz there is too much competition & I hate sharing lol) Religious / god fearing Tall men (no offence to short brothers) Nice personality Encourages me to learn the diin more Family man Knows his duty Respectful Caring If he is got the above 9 other things r negotiable .
  13. Aslaaamu Aleikum Wr Wb Sis to try to answer ur question. I did quick search in Islam city to give u correct answer & this is what some1 asked & it's answer. Question As-Salaam-Alaikum.I read that Allah could be a man or a woman. Why do we always refer to God as a man? And is it possible that God was a human being? The Nation of Islam teaches that Allah came in human flesh. They make a very good point in teaching this because we refer to Allah as he and him and not it or that. Answer Assalamu alaikum, Allah (S.W.T.) is not a human being, and He is not a man or woman. What The Nation of Islam teaches is wrong. Allah (s.w.t.) is a supreme being, and there is nothing like Him. The reason we use He is because the language is limited. Thank you, assalamu alaikum. Hope that answered ur question, we use he in form of language expression, but that doesn't mean Allah is man. Sis just know that Allah is nothing like human being, he created All of this world, & There is nothing like Allah that is all we need to know. Walahu Alam.
  14. Asalaamu Aleikum WR WB Comedy Especially black comedy movies is just crack up i can't stop laughing Canbuulo or Qamadi
  15. The Prohibition of Listening to Gossip size 5> when i read this made me scared walaahi, wondered how many sins I commit listening goasp. I thought i might share it with ya so u could penefit from it as well.size 3 "blue"> Allah (SWT) said: "… Every act of hearing, or of seeing, or of (feeling in) the heart will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning)." (al-Isra' 17:36) He also said: "… If Satan ever makes you forget, then after recollection, do not sit in the company of those who do wrong." (al-An'am 6:68) "And when they hear vain talk, they turn away there from…" (al-Qasas 28:55) From Ka'b ibn Malik, in the long Hadith concerning his repentance; he said: The Prophet (SAWS) said, when he was sitting among the people at Tabuk: "What happened to Ka'b ibn Malik?" A man from Banu Salamah said: "O Messenger of Allah, the beauty of his cloak and the appreciation of his sides (have detained him)!" Mu'adh ibn Jabal said: "Woe be upon that which you have said. By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we know nothing about him but good." The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) kept quiet. What do we learn from these texts? 1. That listening and paying attention to gossip is something for which the individual will have to answer to Allah (SWT). 2. That it is prohibited to sit with people who are gossiping and backbiting. 3. That refusing to listen to Ghibah (backbiting) and bad speech is one of the qualities of the believer. 4. The Hadith which related the story of Ka'b (RA) goes beyond the rejection of Ghibah: the Muslim's honour should be defended by criticizing what the gossip says, and by saying something good about the person which is true. Thus Mu'adh (RA) said to the gossip: "Woe be upon that which you have said. By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we know nothing about him but good." The Prophet (SAWS) said: "Whoever defends the honour of his brother, Allah will protect his face from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection." He also said: "Whoever defends his brother in his absence, Allah will defend him in this world and the next." These are matters which are well-understood; there is no excuse for any nonsense talk or backbiting. But anyone looking at the people nowadays will see them behaving in the opposite manner. You will see them: 1. Paying attention to the gossip who criticizes a fellow-Muslim; 2. Listening to it with enjoyment, hoping to hear more bad news about the person; 3. Adding some news or description of their own, mentioning about their brother something which he dislikes, and thus co-operating with Shaytan (Satan); 4. Agreeing with the gossip and supporting him in his criticism of the Muslim who is absent. "Do they not think that they will be called to account - on a Mighty Day, a Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?" (al-Mutaffifin 83:4-6)? Allah (SWT) described them in the best way when He said: "The same is it to them whether you admonish them or you do not admonish them: they will not believe." (Ya-Sin 36:10) One of the verses of poetry on the prohibition of listening to gossip says: Protect your ears from listening to evil talk, as you would protect your tongue from speaking it. For when you listen to evil talk, You are an accomplice of the one who is speaking so beware!" [From: Gossip and its Adverse Effects on the Muslim Community By: Husayn Al-Awayishah]
  16. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb Indeed is a beautiful peace of informative article. I read this article way back in islamway & I got through an email as well. but the funny thing is no matter how many times I read it I won't get tied of reading it cuz is so true & so unique. Only Islam protects us the humiliations in society & being what so called ideal women. Surely we aren’t men’s product that being advertised on everywhere, that is why Allah ordered us to cover. How many models & sexiest women on earth we heard they have deadly disease or commit suicide. Xafsa my sister in Islam thanx for sharing with us may Allah reward u (Amin). & May Allah make us the one's who be muminiin salixiin in this earth & see each other in Jannah (Amin)

  24. Asalaamu Aleikum Wr Wb My wedding I want it to be simple with small number of gusts about one hunder & thirty Maximum. Only close family friends, relatives from both sides & neighbours. And it will be insha Allah a traditional one & non-mixed wedding. I wouldn't spend fortune on one night, is just fusuq & useless. Why would I have to spend fortune just to please human being that will talk regardless what I do. Why on earth do I have to make him pay fortune for nothing, no way I would agree so called share the expenses  . Ilahay dadka maba cadabinee maxaa mashaqo ii soo arkay. One way or the other if I make big wedding I gain nothing but humiliation & nacalad from Allah & my money is gone, with lots of interest to pay, that will eat us for mony years paying it off  . Instead of big wedding, After the wedding insha Allah of to honeymoon away for a month, no visitors, no interruptions just enjoy the time . Travel around with my newly husband & on the way make cumra in Makkah . What is better than making cumar with the company of ur newly husband. Romantic ha lol
