  1. Geedi is being politically correct. Smart move. Obviously welcoming back bits and parts of the ICU are a welcomed political manoeuvre. I hardly doubt the real muscle behind the ICU (AWEYS, INDHACADDE, CEYROOW) are going to be welcomed. I rather think it would be in their best interest that they stay in the a forein country seeking political asylum.
  2. Hussein Mohammed Farah Aided, Somalia's deputy prime minister, has told journalists that within the three days to come, the Africa peacekeepers would reach the country. His remarks came as at least 50 military trucks carrying Ethiopian soldiers supported by artillery and other types of weaponry left the capital Mogadishu on Tuesday morning. The top Ethiopian General, Seum Hagoss, said the departure of Ethiopian troops started today. "Starting today, we are leaving", he said. Relevant Links East Africa Somalia Peacekeeping and Conflict Resolution Conflict, Peace and Security Arms and Military Affairs Aided mentioned that three other countries, including Libya, were planning to send their troops to Somalia. South Africa is one of the countries contemplating to send troops to Somalia for the peacekeeping mission. The Somali president Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed is Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and having separate meetings with the African Union heads, who are meeting in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa Tuesday for discussions over speedy troop deployment to Somalia, Aided said. The Ethiopian departure from Somalia came after Ethiopian prime minister Males Zenawi stated early last week that his government was conclusive to withdraw the thousands of Ethiopian troops from war-torn country. 3. Yemen holds upto 3/4 of a million somalis withing their borders. Establishing diplomatic ties by opening an embassy etc are a great first step.
  4. Brown Sarcastic tones such as yours are a sign of delusion LOOOOL. First only the yemenian embassy oh now its the south african and next the German and later the chinese and finally the US and what will your response be? "For we have an embassy & his excellency the ambassador of the great powerful rich & influential nation of UNITED STATES has promised to open an embassy in the capital Mogadishu~" Then I think your delusional maxakaamiinta nonsense will finally be gone.

See this is what happens when people write nonsense. Mr. Taako for future reference pay close attention to the going ons of this forum for if you had you’d know that if I was dishing out support along clan lines, I’d be on the side of the traitors. Unlike MKA and GD i don't follow my adeero to the pits of hell for i won't betray my religion so that they attain what they percieve to be glory. Bottom line don’t make a fool of yourself so iska aamu. Sorry to say if you are from the same sub clan as aweys and from the same sub sub clan as cagoweyne, bacadle, tooji etc you can be accused of clannish sentiment. What do you claim is glory? That the president is from the North East? That can hardly be considered glory. Glory is seeing a hijacked islamic movement fall. THAT IS GLORY!
  6. Rahima Most certainly many regions would accept Islam as our rule of law. But with overzealous loud mouths like Indhacadde, and Turki who believed in the Gun before the mouth there was an unease in seeing the true measure of the ICU attacks. THE ICU had all the oppurtunity and much popular support, but that was drained away when they threatened to bring peaceful regions under their control without negotiations. That is the ICU downfall and that only. They could've worked with the government and later started an islamic party and one fair and square in an election. However I fear that will never happen when you have leaders in Yemen, Germany,Kenya and who knows where else.
  7. Not really sure. Not fimiliar with Oil deals.
  8. Hopefully the money is not squandered in the hands of a few and benefit all the citizens of the state and too a lesser extent of Somalia.
  9. ^ I can almost gurantee you weren't talking the Same when the RRA with the help of thousands of Ethiopians kicked out Aideed Jr.
  10. Somalithinker Sources are necessary. You never proved anybody wrong. Always cite your work or have atleast the source written down.
  11. ^ LOOOL at the sublimimal message. Anyhow Boqor Buurmadoow believes in Somaliweyn and the future of Somalia as a whole and not no clan state. He is well respected all over Somalia and in puntland particularily were he was a markhaati for Abdullahi yusuf and Cadde muuse a few years back.
  12. ^ Fighting against oppresion and having 40 warlords in a city at the same time is an oxymoron LOOOOL.
  13. Everybody should stay within the parameters of the law. Jimcaale is mad because his adeer Jamaac Ali was running quicker out of Bari then Indhacade out of Xamar.
  14. ^ THE TFG WAS WILLING TO NEGOTIATE. THE ICU WERE THE ONES TALKING JIHAD AGAINST THE WORLD. The same ICU leaders who called forjihad are now sipping tea in germany. The recent past is not too far back, please stop the lying. THE ICU WANTED NO MIDDLE GROUND. They wanted as sheik turki said Somaliland, Puntland and all of Somalia under their control and only there control.
  15. Horn I am neither glorifying the negative nor highlighting any aspects sxb. I am just taking a historically written piece by prof Samatar, some ten years ago, and showing why a man of Abdullahi Yusuf's calibre is what Somalia needs now. No nonsense, no playing around and just straight to the point. Time has proven the these wise words of the good professor.
  16. Horn "prickly British scholar with an earthy humor explained Nixon’s overwhelming victory over the pacifist Senator George McGovern in the crucial 1972 election thus: "Granted Nixon is a b.astard," quipped the Englishman, "but you need a b.astard in dealing with the Russians." A not insignificant number of (C/y CLAN)feel they need a b.astard in dealing with the Aydiid types in the south—which b.astard Abdullahi Yuusuf is! "- From Prof Said Samatar Rahima If you are accusing MK yoonis of supporting Abdullahi Yusuf for clannish sentiments, then you must be supporting Dahir Aweys because of clannish sentiments huh?
  17. ^ Inshallah we will be the peacekeepers of tommorow instead of the precarious sitaution we in today when we need others to help us keep the peace.
  18. Like General Duke said the TFG encompasses a wide array of clans and is accomodating all speheres of Somalia for reconciliation and trying to put the lawless and destructive past behind us.
  19. Malawi Set To Deploy Troops To Somalia - Defense Min BLANTYRE, Malawi (AP)--Malawi plans to deploy troops to Somalia as part of a proposed African Union peacekeeping mission, the defense minister said Monday. Davies Katsonga said the southern African country was still deciding whether to send a whole battalion or half a battalion, depending on other countries' contributions to the initiative. Katsonga said the situation in Somalia was a matter of urgency, since Ethiopian troops were moving out within weeks. "They will leave a vacuum. That is why the African Union wants us to move in as soon as possible," he said. Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, whose country's troops routed militia forces loyal to the fundamentalist Islamic Courts, is anxious to withdraw his forces and has urged other countries to contribute to an AU peacekeeping mission. On Friday the AU Peace and Security Council approved a plan to send 8,000 African peacekeepers to Somalia for a six-month mission that would eventually be taken over by the U.N. Katsonga said the U.N. would meet the logistical costs of the deployment. Malawi has peacekeeping troops in the western Sudanese region of Darfur, Congo and Kosovo.
  20. Che Guevera Each clans size is roughly proportional to their influence. A small clan of 150 people could not really have that much influence you know?
  21. ^ Hey if they are truly the population that they are they should get that kind of representation.
  22. We'll just have too wait and see what developments unfold.
  23. ^ According to MMA the whole of kismaayo is bajuni and the outlining villages and islands. SO THAT MEANS 1 million Bajun kix kix kix LOOOOOL.
