The Prophet said: "Any one who has two wives and does not behave with them with justice and shows more inclination to one than the other, he will be ressurrected on the Day of judgement, and one side of his body will be dragged along the ground till at last he shall enter fire."
  2. Are we sure they are muslims? Christians never apologized for the Oklahoma bombing why should we be responsible for every irresponsible muslim committing atrocities?
  3. Brother Nur ; Insha Allah this is going to be my last post since you attacked my chastity I‘ve decided not to even look at this thread again. To your last question questioning about my chastity I will give you the same answer that Allah gave to the hypocrites that questioned Aisha’s chastity “Indeed, those who [falsely] accuse chaste, unaware and believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter; and they will have a great punishment. Quran 24:23 Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are [subjected] to evil words. And good words are for good men, and good men are [an object] of good words. Those [good people] are declared innocent of what they [i.e. slanderers] say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision Qur’an 24:26 To your second question; you are the only one mentioning kufr concerning about the Khalifas. I haven’t seen anyone using that term even in their questions. One of the great Sheikhs gave us an advice to always remind ourselves of our limited knowledge all the time because no matter how knowledgeable we might think we are we will never match Allah’s knowledge. He told us do not make the same mistake that Shaytan made when he thought that he was better than Adam (a.s.). If you listen carefully to all the lectures of all the great Sheikhs they always use this term maybe you should start reminding yourself too and Allah told us that we will be judged according to our understanding. I do not accept shia sources infact I only accept from our 6 sahihs and the Sheikhs you mentioned I only recognize one of them Khomeiny and I heard it from the news. Therefore I have no clue what you are talking about when you say your sheikhs. About the Dark Thursday. Imam Muslim has recorded it at the end of Kitab Al-Wasiyya ( The chapter on will) vol 2 p.14 Ibn Abbas reported: When Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) was about to leave this world, there were persons (around him) in his house, ‘Umar b. al-Khattab being one of them. Allah’s Apostle (s.a.w) said: Come, I may write for you a document; you would not go astray after that. Thereupon Umar said:Verily Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) is deeply afflicted with pain. You have the Qur’an with you. The Book of Allah is sufficient for us. Those who were present in the house differed. Some of them said: Bring him (the writing material) so that Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) may write a document for you and you would never go astray after him. And some among them said what Umar had (already) said, When they indulged in nonsense and began to dispute in the presence of Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) he said: Get up (and go away). Ubaidullah said : Ibn Abbas used to say: There was heavy loss, indeed a heavy loss, that, due to their dispute and noise, Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) could not write (or dictate) the document for them. Sa’id ibn Jubair said that Ibn Abbas said:â€The Thursday! Oh what an unfortunate Thursday.†Then his eyes watered and his tears regularly flowed down his cheeks like a string of pearls. Then he continued: “ The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said ‘Bring to me a piece of paper and an inkpot, or a tablet and inkpot, that I may write down for you a document after which you will never go astray.’ But they remarked: ‘Certaily the Messenger of Allah is talking nonsense (yahjar). Bukhari also recorded this tradition in the chapter of The Words of the Patient vol4 p.5 on the authority of Ubaidullah ibn Atbai ibn Mas’ud quoting consecutive sources up to him. Imam Ahmad has reported the tradition of Ibn Abbas in his Musnad.Vol.1 p.325 I hope you will not accuse Bukhari and Muslim of being shias because they recorded these traditions. As I told you before I do not accept shia sources therefore this book Nahjul Balagha that you keep mentioning is irrelevant to my questions. About the inheritance of Fatima bint Rasulullah may Allah be pleased with her I do not understand what they mean by Prophets(a.s) do not leave inheritance when Prophet Sulayman (a.s) inherited from his father Prophet Da’ud(a.s) wouldn’t this tradition contradict the Qur’an? Imam Shafii said if a tradition contradicts the Qur’an do not accept it. I don’t understand why you are accusing me of not regarding highly Aisha you yourself admit she was in that fitna and yet you don’t want people to know about it. I believe we should talk about it as an example not to make the same mistake she made. That doesn’t mean that I have no respect for her. If we are supposed to take half of the deen from her don’t we have the right to know which half we should take? In this issue I am sorry to say you don’t make sense at all. On one hand you say it is true in the other you say don’t tell anybody as if people don’t know how to read and find out themselves and why are you so angry at Fatima don’t you know that the Prophet regarded her highly and why are you comparing the two Fatima and Aisha one was the daughter and one was the wife. Now I am suspicious Insha Allah I’ll be doing some research on this issue. One positive thing I learned from you Nur is that when you get upset you are hiding some traditions that you don’t want us to know. Allah says in the Qur’an : And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it]. Quran 2:42 You said that I posed “cosmetic questions†to Mutakallim. I asked proof from the Qur’an to Mutakallim and I asked you proof from the traditions. Now who did I pose cosmetic question. What would you have said if I asked you from the Qur’an. We should never give up saying I DO NOT KNOW because we are only human beings. I am signing off from this thread because it seems we are not allowed to pose questions without being personally attacked. Brother Nur about what you accuse me of practicing if that is true may Allah forgive me but if what you accuse me is not true then may Allah forgive you. Signing off Sakina
  4. Asalamu Alaykum Salafi_online I have a problem with point 13 and 14. In point 13 you are telling us that we should accept the present rulers of the Arabian Peninsula and in point 24 you are telling us that you are against the Ahlulsunna wa jamaat. As a follower of Ahlulsunna wa jamaat I refuse to follow the Wahhabi/Salafi creed. I refuse to follow Ibn Baaz or Qadarawi. I refuse to accept to follow a school of thought that says that shedding the blood of other sunnis is allowed if they are against this particular creed. Why can't the salafis just follow their sheikhs and leave the Ahlulsunna alone?
  5. Feebaro, slander is worst than backbiting. I follow the Ahlulsunna wa jamaat I refuse to follow Wahhabis/Salafis. Islam is peace. We are supposed to leave in harmony with everybody. If you read the title of this debate you would know what we are debating about. Thanks for praying for me but remember that Allah accepts only legitimate prayers. In Somalia there is a saying that goes like this " Qof markuu cay kuu waayo ilko cad buu kuugu caaya" (When people don't find any faults in you they start calling you white teeth). There are specific questions I asked and never get an answer from both sunnis and shias. I wonder why you guys accuse of each other of not telling the truth when you can't even answer simple question.
  6. Wa Alaykum Salaam sis. Khimar and jilbab are hijabs; unfortunately some people are preaching that khimar is not hijab. I prefer khimar and my friend prefers jilbab.
  7. Yes salafi_online I liked the article. Umar went there as an angry enemy and he came out as a believer. What a gift Allah gave him. May Allah give us the courage to admit our mistakes and submit to Islam as the Prophet (s.a.w.w) thought us.
  8. So what is the problem if they are leading women only?
  9. Asalamu Alaykum Cusmaan, Uthman and Osman (different spelling for the same name). We have only four K.Rashidiin; but you mentioned five who is the fifth one, because of the love you have for Umar I don't think you are a shia. I heard that they don't like Umar. I was surprised you didn't start from Abu Bakr since he was the first Khalifa and also he was the one that was in the cave with the Prophet (s.a.w.w.) He was the father of Aisha the beloved wife of the Prophet (saww). He gave his wealth for islam etc. That is why I asked you that question.
  10. I agree with Boolbaro why would you allow another man to deliver your baby?
  11. Asalamu Alaykum Do you love Abu Bakr, Osman and Ali as well?
  12. Asalamu Alaykum Are they going to lead men as well or they'll have their own women gathering?
  13. Salafi_Online The Prophet (s.a.w.w) said "Seek knowledge from cradle to grave". "Seek knowledge even if it be in China". At that time China did not have any muslims. It is a duty of every muslims to seek useful knowledge even from the non muslims. That is what the sunna teaches us.
  14. Beware somali women it seems we are headed to another Taliban style government where women are not allowed to work or go to school.
  15. Iraq was the one that started the war with Iran. Iraq was the one that used chemical weapons on Iran and the Kurds. The only country that ever used atomic bomb and WMD is the same country that is crying foul now. Somalis should concentrate their efforts on their own country rather than play politics with innocent muslims that don't have any intention of producing WMD. Talk about the ones that already have like USA, India, Pakistan and Israel they are the ones that the international community should be worried about instead of North Korea and Iran we know for a fact they don't have any WMD.
  16. Should we obey all the dictators even if they kill innocent muslims and usurp their property?
  17. SURAH Al-HUJURAT verse 11 “ O you who have faith! Do not let men make fun of other men- perhaps they may be better than the other (group of men). Also, do not let women make fun of other women, as it may be that they are better than the other (group of) women. Do not find faults in yourselves and do not defame one another by using bad names. How bad it is after having true faith that a person (does these acts) but does not turn in repentance (to Allah) so then surely it is these people who are the oppressors.â€
  18. Asalamu Alaykum brother I am sorry if I've offended you. I never said you were a Wahhabi but that is not the point. I am not interested in what shia or sunni call each other. I just want to get some answers to my questions. Both sunnis and shias are wrong calling eachother kuffar after all they do pray side by side during Hajj time. We need to be open minded and stick to the topic only by answering all the questions. I am not conceiling anything I believe Allah is everywhere and He is closer to me than my jugular vein. Only Allah knows what is in our hearts. Well since I am not getting any answers to my questions from you I'll just wait Mutakalim to answer my questions about shias hoping that he is open minded. "Mindes are like parachutes they work only when they are open". Again Brother Nur forgive me if I've unintentionally offended you. Wa Salaam Sakina
  19. Asalamu Alaykum brother Nur You haven't answered even one question that I asked you and if you read carefully I also aske d questions to brother Mukallim and I am hoping he'll answer me and not accuse me of being a Wahhabi. As I told you before I follow only the Quran and Sunna. I don't belong to any madhab. The way you replied is the same way Wahhabis reply accusing others of something and derailing from the topic. Are you saying that Muslim the author of Sahih Muslim was a shia?
  20. Assalamu Alaykum brother Nur The Quran tells us not to be suspicious of each other. Only because I've decided to speak about the injustice done to our brothers/sisters shias you assume that I am a shia too. I follow the Quran and the sunna. We have to admit thought that there are a lot of unanswered questions about our past history. From my own research I came to the conclusion that some of our history is very dark as the shias claim and we have to face it and find an answer for it. I am going to ask you some questions that some shias posed to me and after doing my research and with my limited knowledge unfortunately I came to the conclusion they are pretty accurate. Maybe you can give me answers from our books such us Bukhari and Muslim and please I do not want to know what Ibn Tamiyya's opinion is we all know that. 1) What happened in "The dark Thursday" when our beloved Prophet (s.w.w) asked for pen and paper so he could dictate us something that would not divide us and Omar said that the Prophet (s.w.w.) was delirious do not give him anything (Hint look in Sahih Muslim) 2) What happend in Saqifa? Who was present there and how was the first Khalifa choosen? 3) Why Fatima bint Rasulullah was angry at the Khalifa and his supporters till the time she passed away? 4) Who was at the head of the first civil war between the muslim ummah the war of Jamal and who was at the head of that war? 5)How many times Abu Bakr fainted in his deathbed and yet he was allowed to write his will and was not called delirious? I have many more question but for now Insha Allah I'll wait for the reply for these ones. I am seriously trying to find the truth. Some of my family members decided to follow the Wahhabi/Salafi sect and they are not allowed to ask questions only blind following of the sect. Whenever I ask questions they tell me you are westernized or are you still following the Shafis? Therefore I am not surprise that people would call me a shia only because I want to verify if what they are telling is the truth or not. I would like to ask some questions to brother Mutakkalim: 1)Does the quran tell us to follow the 12 Imams? 2)Abubakar and Omar said that Prophets(a.s) do not leave inheritance then why Fatima wanted Fadak? 3)If Ali ibn Abu Talib was angry with Omar then why he was answering all his fiqh questions at a point that Omar said I would be ruined without Ali? May Allah guide us all to the right path. Sakina
  21. Assalamu Alaykum brothers/sisters; I am pleased to see that both sect sunnis and shias are finally debating. I am doing a research on almost all the schools of thoughts (Malikis, Hanifis, Hambalis, Shafi,Shias(several of them) and the Wahhabi/Salafis.) I found that most of the propaganda against the shias are coming from the Wahhabis. Wahhabis call themselves Salafis because people started asking questions about the Sheikh they follow Mohammed Ibn Abdullah Wahhab. Infact his own brother Ismail and father were against him. So he made an alliance with Saud and they took over all the Arabian Peninsula. My question to brother Nur is are you saying that all the islamic ummah were not following the sunnah till Ibn Abdullah came to save them in the late 1700th? I would also like to know if Imam Malik and Imam Hanifa thought that it was useful for them to study under Imam Sadiq clearly they consider him not only a muslim but a knowledgeable Alim. We might not consider him an Imam but we should respect his knowledge and status as did our own Imams Malik and Hanif. Therefore shiasm is another school of thought as are the Malikis, Hambalis, Shafis and Hanafis. May Allah guide us all. Sakina MANNERS OF TALKING 1) Do not begin a conversation without first greeting the person you are talking to. 2) Keep away from a conversation which is without an aim or object for it lowers your position. 3) WAIT TO SPEAK AT THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY; MANY SPEAK THE TRUTH BUT NOT AT THE RIGHT TIME AND THEREFORE FACE DISRESPECT. 4) Do not argue with a patient person for he will win over you with the power of his patience. 5) Do not argue with foolish and ignorant people as they will hurt you with their nonsense. 6) You may only do that gheebat (backbiting) of a person what you would like him to speak of you.
