"Reer Sool doorkan way iis diwangaliyeen."

Yes, they did  mostly in Laascaanood  district but not Taleex  and Boocame districts.  No buuhoodle  and eastern Sanaag either.

Ha it is mostly reer Laascaanood that registered kolay it is in their interest in the past reer Caynaba and reer Bohol use to take their MPs easily  in 2005 this time it is tough competition for Sool.

  5. The numbers could have been more for each region but around 123,867 people didn't pick up their cards despite registering waba waali.  Malaha waxay iis leyihin if u pick up your card and tahriib later u can't say u are from south Somalia, paranoia walaysa daadka.

Speaker Hashi ‘very angry’, sharply differs with PM Roble over Somaliland question

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Talks between Prime Minister Mohamed Roble and Senate speaker Abdi Hashi hit a brick wall Monday after it emerged the Federal Government was keen on handing more influence to Deputy PM Mahdi Guled in the elections of Somaliland lawmakers.
A very closed source to Hashi said the outgoing speaker was ‘very angry’ and that the two leaders failed to reach a deal despite claims by officials at the PM office that the issue had been resolved.
Roble and Hashi held a closed meeting Monday in Mogadishu following sharp disagreements between the Senator and DPM Guled. A statement released by the Somaliland political caucus headed by Hashi said Monday they had agreed with the deputy prime minister on an equal basis regarding the composition of the interim elections Committee. Guled however fiercely rejected the claims terming them ‘baseless and void.’ In the meeting yesterday, Roble told Hashi he would be allotted five seats to the polls Committee which is just an addition of one seat from the Baidoa Technical Committee proposal.

Its a no brainier(sadly not for some), one works for a sittning president who want to be reelected(at any price). If that is not a sufficient reson to disqualify Mahdi then you surly dont want a viable, stable and prosperous democracy for somalia, maybe you want us to copy Djibouti or Uganda?

Abdi Hashi works for the opposition and  is not impartial either. Haadi lagu heeshin wayo best way is the clan elders like the old way, each sub clan MPs their clan elders dooranaya.

The talks were mostly a scheme for Somaliland and southern politicians to get some money from the donors. Ahmed Siilaanyo signed documents affirming being part of the republic to get some badly needed cash..

Somaliland even demanded the exclusion of those who hail from Somaliland and Puntalnd.

Faysal shalay waxa uu lahaa ninkaa Farmaajo inaga qabta, maantana waxa uu leeyhay dawladi majirto. Qaar badan neef baa ka soo baxday.

    Why?

Galbeedi gets it, it was all about money it was never designed to lead somewhere.

Miraa traders want Somalia, Kenya tiff ironed out

Miraa traders want the government to restore diplomatic ties with Somalia to secure the Sh16 million a day market.

They also want authorities to avoid actions that will further jeopardise the already strained relationship between the two countries.

Nyambene Miraa Traders Association chairman Kimathi Munjuri said a flights ban was ill advised and that Kenya should work towards restoring the trade between the two countries.

“The ban is not necessary because it extends the standoff between the two countries and it is Kenya that is losing out,” said Mr Munjuri.

Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) through a notice to airmen (Notam) banned all flights to or from Mogadishu without giving any reason on May 11.

“All flights between Kenya and Somalia are suspended except medevac [medical evacuation] flights and United Nations flights on humanitarian missions only,” the regulator said.

Last Sunday, 12 tonnes of miraa worth Sh5 million went to waste after Somalia on May 9 issued a notice prohibiting export of the stimulant to the country, following news that there was a consignment at the airport that was destined for Mogadishu.
