    The problem is the next clan will hold the new capital hostage. Unless Somali evolve, it is going to be like this. Though I must note the actual citizens of Mogadishu were not buying what these men were selling. 

     

    What next clan?  we are talking about starting a capital from bottom up in government purchased land.  A lot of countries did that Abuja with Nigeria,  Brasilia with Brazil etc.

    British mother blames president Muse for arresting her son for being a candidate

    London (SD) – A British mother accuses Somaliland President of arresting her son along with another candidate for running in the country’s British funded election.

    The arrested two candidates are Raage Ahmed Yusuf running for the House of Representatives and Hargeisa City Council candidate Mohamud Ahmed Jama (Dhadoon).

    The mother says her British son was captured by British-funded anti-terror RRU forces, right after his constituency agreed to support him.

    The opposition UCID party has accused President Bihi’s government of kidnapping the two candidates.

    “We see the arrest of the two UCID candidates as kidnapping and the government has dismissed the law” said UCID Secretary Yusuf Kayse.

    This is about politics as the old man said. When Somalia becomes stable, there should be proper census. The number of seats allocated to each region should be based on population size.

    There was already a 1975 census but old man Siad Bare didn't like the results  and tried to hide it. :D  Lkn wa ruunta in 2021  lama oga, which is why 1 man 1 vote is important in Somalia sii ay cidwalba xaqeeda uu heesho rather than 4.5.

    Horta he is right that the Somaliland region folks are the second largest in Somalia. Lkn xage bu ka  keenay 38% ?  according to old  census and CIA sources  Somaliland region folks & south central folks waxba ma kala  badna only 3% . To jump from 25% to 38% in 30 years waba waali.  There is no group that reaches 30% +mark in Somalia the four major groups wa between 20-27% .
