WHAT WAS THE PRIME REASONS FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF SOMALIA?
MAXIMUS POWERS replied to GAAROODI's topic in Politics
Another Hawish Somalilander on SOL. Mashallah. Send me a PM sxb so we can finish what the SNM started. There are just too many difference for a united somalia so maha? the facts are on the ground. Political realism is the dominant school of thought in this day and age. I don't think many of those who regulaly post on SOL with their delusional posts like Xiiny et al realise what politics in the 21st century is all about. check this clip GAAROODI: http://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=Td6OpD7ch jM -
I watched 20mins of this documentary. Even recently arrived Somalis in the US are settled. This is positive.

^^^ We need violable solution adeero Bob. Khat sustains the economy in Somaliland. Its a pity. Interesting article indeed. Little light on facts and too much emphasis on sensationalism. Kulaha: ''Eye-popping, head-buzzing khat is loved by Somali men who chew the leaves for their stimulant effect.''

On the July 14th 1989, a huge demonstration in which thousand of people participated took place in front of Sheikh Ali Sufi mosque in Mogadishu. To quell such peaceful demonstrations, the red beret swiftly moved from their bases with heavy gun mounted jeeps and encircled the whole area, indiscriminately killing hundred of civilians. For the Barre regime, the men behind the riots were somalilanders, many of whom lived in the Case Poplare area where the shooting took place. It was the following night that the Gezeira beach massacre was carried out by General Anjah. It was on the 16th of July 1989 that the world witnessed what became infamously known as the Gezeira Beach Massacre, where 47 Somalilanders including professors, medical doctors, engineers, businessmen and journalists were slaughtered like animals 20 miles south of Mogadishu, where ships from ancient Arabia once docked and where in the flatlands the nomads extracted salt from the turquoise sea water. It was here where 47 Somalilanders were dumped in the sand dunes after each one of them was shot in the head. These people were picked up in the middle of the night by members of the Barre’s Green Beret at gun point and were put at the back of three military trucks blindfolded before they were brought to the sand dune area of the beach where, they were shot one by one in a pre-dug big shaft and then immediately dumped with heavy duty tractor. The information that General Anjah personally supervised such massacre at the behest of General Maslah Mohamed Siyaad Barre have always been in the public domain. Col. Abdulkadir Haji Masalah, relative of General Anjah praised general Anjah at a clan gathering for his heroic action against the somalilanders hiding in Mogadishu and further suggested that he should be decorated for his timely action. Abdulkadir Masalah also continuously advocated for a strong military hand against the SNM/USC liberation forces. LEST WE FORGOT. -------------------- -------------------- --------- The victims of the Gezeira Massacre were: 1. Ibrahim Hassan Gelle 2. Ibrahim Abdullahi Dirie 3. Mohamed Issmial Ahmed 4. I am not too sure about these westernised somali men but I am a traditional fat-feeder. I am not satisfied with a merely big woman, but encourage and even coerce them to gain weight to the point where they become immobile and risk their lives. If a woman wants to eat. Let her eat!

^^^ What man wouldnt support his people against oppression and tyranny. Axmed Cabdi Xaabsade is a hero for Somaliland against those with geo-strategic imperatives. Originally posted by Abtigiis &Tolka: I have made some background check and come to know Marx is from Harawaa, which is in Somaligalbeed. So, this fake secessionst should stop pretending. The Al-shabab are cockroaches. They make Abdulahi Yusuf look like a domesticated bisad. -
My cousin was in the area where this happened and says there are Somali secret service police from Puntland that are trying to destabilise Somaliland. The Shock of it all is too much to swallow. Its happened before and will probably happen again. In a democratic society, people should raise their greivance and use whatever paraphernalia they wish. In some parts of Hargeisa they burn effigies of Riyale all the time. All 6'4'' of him.

***** move to islam section please****** These people bicker beyond belief and reduce Islam to a mere and trival matter. Their three favourite words: 1.Fitnah 2.Innovation 3.Fitnah Quote: ''In fact we have mentioned the evil little brothers that have caused fitnah but we have neglected to mention the many evil, fitna mongering, tale carrying and in some cases lustful sisters of the ghulat that have done all they can to disrupt the salafi dawa of many good believing women. And funny then that the discussion should return back here to London where at the Athariya conference with Fawzi Bahraini, the ghulat sisters showed extreme depravity and lack of shame by running to the windows to look when they heard that the daees were out there'' They have small minds.

Good Riddance to stuff and nonsense. Though when you get to NG age, other things start to occupy your mind than posting on SOL.

Salaamu Aleekum Waraxmatullaahi Wabarakaad dhamaan akhyaarta. Marka horay waxaan salaan mida igu qiimaha iyo qaayaha badan hada u soo marinayaa asxaabta SOL. It was very close race and in the end, the only man who run the race won the poll. Thanks to all those who voted for me to stay. I would also like to thank those who voted against me. A special acknowledgement has to be paid to my campaign team, two very good friends of mine. LZG and Rudy, you are both wonderful people. Now that I have the mandate to continue my posting on SOL, I want to concentrate on becoming a structuralist in my thinking and approaches. No more silly and pathetic tirades of self-opinionated bile®. Cheers! Originally posted by *Ibtisam: We are all waiting for our reward Marx What reward! I am back. Today Marks a special day in the history of SOL, I have finally reached the elusive 1000 post mark with this thread. It hasn’t been an easy target by any stretch of the imagination but I am glad to make it after 1 and half. However, I feel as though I need the mandate of my fellow SOLers to continue my posts. This poll is intended to give you, the people of SOL, the opportunity to either evict me from SOL for eternity or to welcome me back with another 1000 posts of self-opinionated bile. It’s that simple. We will use the law of averages to decide the outcome. Anything over 50% will mean that I will continue to post on SOL, anything less will conclude my demise from SOL. Remember, use your gut instincts, can you really live without me or are you just glad to see the back of me? It’s not an easy choice. I understand. Deadline: Saturday 11th July 2009 at 12.00pm. Cheers.
