What Alshabab man talks shamelessly about Muslim sisters on an internet forum IBZ?. I thought amongst the many innovation of the Alshabab, celibacy was up there among the most serious tenets of their pseudo Islamic belief systems.

fake sisters are ones that dont wear the hijab but have a soul and iman. They tend to be more real than hijabs. I feel your vibe fabregas.

With the people of Puntland, they share a common clan lineage. Identity is constructed, its not biological sxb. Cut the irredentist nonsense marka. So, you are telling me there's an invisible wall stopping people of Sool,Sanaag, and Buhoodle from culturaly, politically, economically, linguistically, and maritally integrating with the rest of Somalia. Let me tell my dear mom and ayeeyo in Buhoodle that we are very so alike yet so apart Cut crap nigga No! I am not saying that there is an invisible wall stopping people of Sool,Sanaag, and Buhoodle from culturaly, politically, economically, linguistically, and maritally integrating with the rest of Somalia. It just so happens that these same people are have more in common with the people of Somaliland. The point I was making was that Sool,Sanaag, and Buhoodle should not be annexed from Somaliland on the grounds of common clan membership. For many people, clan is a not a defining feature of their identity. Its a contributing factor. However you and I and the rest of SOL knew that those who claim that Sool,Sanaag, and Buhoodle are under occupation are using historical irredentist overtones to justify these regions annexation from Somaliland. Can you also tell my brother, sisters and cousins and entire family that they are not part of Puntland. Who continuely indoctrinate people of Sool,Sanaag, and Buhoodle despite centuries of historical connection with the Somaliland people by advocating that they should leave them to join their clans peoples on Eastern Somalia.

seen this arrival nonsense and its all based on numbers. Not impressive. What do structural buildings and the Dajaal have in common?.

Mansa Munsa, It is quite obvious from your wishful thinking who is delusional sxb. Its somewhat foolish to think in irredentist tendencies in these interest based political times we live in. If your talking about the Sool and Sanag, these regions are under the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somaliland. Look at map. To claim clannish dogma shows your inability to think of the wider picture and practical implications of how best to govern these regions. The people of Sool and Sanag have accepted the mandate of the somaliland governemnt and for you to insinuate that Somaliland is sustaining its jurisdication by ''oppression by iron fist, while the indigenous people against is unattainable task my friend'' is nothing short of travesty. While some of the people of Sool and Sanag are of different clans to the mainstay of Somaliland diverse population, it shows lacking of understanding on your part that Sool and Sanag should be annexed to Puntland or Somalia on the grounds of their inhabitants common clan membership. I reiterate yet again that Somaliland is based on interest not irredentist clannish dogmas sxb. The people of Sool and Sanag shared with the people of Somaliland a land, marriage lineage, cultural heritage, tradition, common customs, history, similar dialects, folkloric dances, upbringing, educational system and a colonial system. With the people of Puntland, they share a common clan lineage. Identity is constructed, its not biological sxb. Cut the irredentist nonsense marka.

The Somali republic may be in disarray, but the president of the republic just met with the U.S Internationally recognised YES!!! But When people see Mogadishu all they see is war and war and war and tribalism and tribalism and more tribalism, not to mention poverty and mass starvation and off course terrorism - all induced by its weak and self-interested leaders. Its shame that people see Mogadishu and think all Somalis are savages like Mogadishuites. My solution to Mogadishu is nuke it. its a necessary evil. There is no hope in that place. Its a shame sheikh.sharif has to meet with Hilary in Kenya. If the weak and mandate-less Mogadishu based govt want to assert itself it will have to use a proxy country. its shame.

The reality is clouded in your judgement sxb. I say this not out of disrespect but if the reality according to you is that Somaliland still part of Somalia then why doesn't the Somali Republic assert this reality and quash the recognition aspirations of Somaliland and its inhabitants. The reality is the Somali Republic is in a disarray and cant control its own jurisdiction. Maanta, no one can step into Hargeisa, Borama (despite vocal support for the union) Burco, Las Anod nor Erigabo with facing strong resistance from the SDF. The reality is that all these areas come under the jurisdiction of Somaliland and we can all attest to this. What is the reality that you speak of? Delusional reality and Political realism are two different paradigm.

Somaliland cannot be compared to the demonstrations in Borama sxb nor in London. Somaliland has always had a different historical trajectories to the rest of South Somalia. Using your argument that Somaliland is still part of Somalia, it still accounts for 40+% of Somalia's land mass and almost close to 2/5 of its Population, so marka if these people want to secede, should they not determine their own destiny rather than continue to be part of a ill-fated and ill-conceived union of 1960 that brought Somaliland and Somalia together under a flawed policy wrapped in illusion. Somaliland today provides a face-saving exist strategy for the long standing reconfirmation of the 1960s internatinally recognised independent state of Somaliland Republic that will pave the way for a mutually beneficailly economic co-operation among somali speaking nations in the Horn of Africa.

Puntland 11th Anniversary Celebrations around the world Pics+reports
MAXIMUS POWERS replied to Fiqikhayre's topic in Politics
This soldier looks dazed! Is he supposed to protect the president of Puntland. -
100+ people in the street of Borama are not represented by the whole of Somaliland. Just as the 1,000,000+ who demonstrated against the Iraq war are not indicative of the general feeling in the UK.

A poorly orchestrated event by Somalilander doesn't change the facts. As in all true democracies, The people of Borama (my home city) are allowed to be vocal in raising their grievousness. These blue-flag waving people have perhaps forgotten that under the Barre regime, Adwal was the least developed of all the regions of Somalia in the 1970s to 1990's. It wasn't until the yoke of Southern Somalia neglect and dualism was removed from Adwal that this region saw any form of development and prosperity. If the people of Borama were to rejoin the Somali Republic, it is their fate to decide. However, having being born and raised in this wondeful city, I regret to inform you all, that the people of Adwal overwhemlying support the Somaliland Government in its plans for international recognition. With Somaliland, the people of Awdal have a great say in the political process. With the Somali Republic, its a repeat of years of neglect and undevelopment.

Horta let me ask people like che, KK and Duke.... what kind of world they live in? The important facts are on the grounds. Somaliland is an independent nation, albeit unrecognised. Your claims to Somaliland and its people as being part of Somalia are nonsensical and not reasonable. Even if Somaliland is not recognised, it’s very hard to claim Somaliland territory as part of Somalia. Each passing year continues to make these facts more evident. It’s comprehensible if in 1995, Southerners were trying to claiming Somaliland as part of Somalia but its 2009 and each year passing year Somaliland continues to exist will empower its citizens and alienate them to outsiders from south Somalia. Again the facts are on the ground. It is apparent Che, KK and Duke are trying to patronising Somalilander on an internet forum but for goodness sake, its time you accept certain truths: Somaliland has gone its way and your opinionated tirades are no longer worthy of mention. It’s boring and full of resentment. Accept our chosen path and respect it. Otherwise we are anticipating the day when Somalis in eastern and Southern Somalia come to our doors and force feed us the ludicrous idea of rejoining a union that is detrimental to our existence, we will fight and obliterate any so called union in a destructive way like Eritrea, Kosovo, East Timor, Abkhazia and South Ossetia all did. I am hoping that day will come soon, because we are ready to decide our fate using missiles and artillery against the oppressor and invader to peace and prosperity. I am hoping that day is fast approaching! We are amassing the victory parade celebrations.

Wonderful news indeed. This is a new victory for the Somali language in the age of the internet.
-
Its quite obvious that the leadership of Alshabab are all Somalilanders. We are the only people who can build any functioning counter insurgence in Southern Somalia to the Sharif regime. Our Somali brethren are all but relieved of their competences by Somaliland Alshabab leaders. 19 years of lawlessness can do disastrous things to the South Somali psyche. History is repeating itself yet again. The Alshabab will not attack their motherland Surely? If they do, Somaliland Defence Force will annihilate them one by one until they submit to the Somaliland forces as far as Garowe. The Somaliland Government will use pre-emptive strikes to defend its citizens and sovereignty including using Somali territory to wage large scale attacks on any imminent immediate unlawful attacks on Somaliland.
