  1. Military nature in Somali airspace. LOL. When is Jubba Airways starting it's military branch?
  2. Either way, if it happens good, if it doesn't live goes on. Btw. Garoodi I'm not being emotional, I'm not even from Somalia but OGenia.
  3. I still don't see why the UN would agree. It's peaceful? Since when was that a necessity to break away? Look at Kurdistan which is MUCH richer, has a proper army, a real capital, real tourism, oil = a real economy and not based on money sent back from UK benefits. Get with the program and find a real reason why they should accept you as a breakaway state. South Sudan had oil, and less safety than Somaliland but they were accepted.
  4. What I don't get is what happened to all the airplanes/tanks etc.?
  5. I believe with all my heart that it wasn't just Qabeelism that destroyed Somalia, yes it was the source, but I think Ethiopia had something to do with it. Think about it, your neighbors are one of the strongest powers of Africa. What do you do? As soon as you see militias popping up here and there you send them money, a lot of money to destabilize the nation, you then keep sponsoring them until it becomes a failed state like in Somalia.
  6. Operations in Mozambique, Rhodesia and Zambia During their early communist phase, Siad Barre and his military junta were initially quite supportive of various anti-colonial movements. Barre was the only head of state to attend Mozambique's independence celebrations. Along with fellow communists the Soviet Union and Cuba, Barre also sent martial reinforcements to assist the government of Samora Machel against Rhodesian and Portuguese forces. Rhodesian guerrillas in Maputo at the time "bragged to Portuguese correspondents that Somali tanks will be used in future operations against Ian Smith’s forces.[40] In their struggle against the Rhodesians, Zambia appealed to other African countries for military support. On 27 June 1977, President Kenneth David Kaunda speaking to a crowd of Zambians in Lusaka announced that Somalia's armed forces were prepared to aid his country against the Rhodesians.[41] Somali Air Force pilots stood on standby to fly Zambian MiGs in case of a war.[42] *** And here comes the big one: "The Somali–Soviet Union friendship and later partnership with the United States enabled Somalia to build the largest mechanised army on the continent." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_Somalia
  7. Carabs were always smarter, while Somalis wasted all their money on buying villas that they use every other year when they come back for three months these people understand that they have to create a continuing source of income.
  8. It doesn't work that way. Not in Europe/America so I don't see why it will work in Somalia. Instead of having ten crappy universities it's better to have three that are widely recognized. Again a central government, even if it's Puntland should spend money on this. Collecting money from the diaspora to transport China-made chairs from Dubai to Somalia isn't going to help. The main problem is that everyone is thinking of their own 'community' instead of the country as a whole.
  9. So old and it's still crap. Somalia doesn't even have one proper university. That's why all the students always have to go to Yemen, Sudan, Malaysia etc. to get a masters. Problem is that a central government should exist that will spend millions on a few universities but because of the breakdown of the country every Tuulo wants their own university.
  10. Why do all these youngsters look like proper Faaraxs.
  11. What other projects have they done before? A lot of people are claiming that they will build villas in Mogadishu.
  12. I agree with Odey, ignore the refugee that got adopted by European parents.
  13. For now Somalia is 'dead' but you never know what's gonna happen in the future. This problem of people not feeling like they're part of the country and wanting to split is very common.
  14. Mogadishu is still a warzone, just like Kabul or Baghdad. I don't think we'll see buildings like that until the whole issue is resolved.
  15. Alpha Blondy;967934 wrote: yeah. i sort of agree. hassan 'i've just combed my hair' shiekh mohamud is just as bad. add Big SILaanyo to the list too. they can try but they will NEVER amount to anything of substance. small mindedness and internal clan power politics is their achelis heel. +1 They're even worse than the ****** from back then, at least back then we were colonized by the Italians (I mean look at Xamar, most of it's sights are of Italian descent) now it's Kenyans and Ethiopians.
  16. lol what did Madoobe do? Blame Hassan for instigating internal clan conflict. Kenyans are foreign invaders. But the thousands of Ethiopians/Ugandans are natives lol.
  17. Visit by Sharq Youth Forum to Mogadishu. First video: Second video:
  18. Salaax have some shame. It's bad enough that in Somali history you were on the invaders side. Don't be proud of it.
  19. They want to rile people up. Plus the people sponsoring it aren't even Muslims but Ahmadis.
  20. XARAAM! Don't post pics of food in Ramadan!
