  1. ^^ Adiga maaha dee. I was talking to Malika. Lakin in your case, dee just cut and paste from the CV to the application form.
  2. ^^ It's called a phone, silly. All you have to do is dial 'his' number. Carafaat, hee, maxaad tedhi dee?
  3. ** bites his fist and tries not to snigger ** :D
  4. ^^ Warya Carafaat, forget V day and come help me out with this interesting idea that I'm thinking of following. You are an interesting troll and this might be right up your street (plus it might stop you driving us all crazy with your silly topics in here). Here is the idea: Go and start a spoof twitter account in the name of Sheikh Sharif (or Farole or Siilaanyo if you like). Use it to update us about your feelings, plans and ideas for the upcoming conference (you being one of the above and not Carafat of course). Think you can do it? Plenty of material there.

And both parties agreed to hold their talks after the Londen Conference. See here how the SL goverment, already is informing and prebaring public. I expect Ali Khaliif to do the same soon. http://www.haatuf.net/2009files/3239.html They have THREE PRESIDENTS yet they would let Ali Khaliif talk on their behalf? Pull the other one warya..easy with these pointless threads.
  6. GoldCoast;788728 wrote: This is surely exaggerated analysis. Do you really expect us to believe the entire premise of this conference is to portray SL in a positive light? Be serious for a second. Nothing indicates SL is central to the conference nor or behind its motives. The statements of British ministers themselves have hardly mentioned or treaded on anything SL related. In fact they've been more than happy to pass the buck on to the issue to Somalis themselves. A much more sober analysis would conclude they've forced SL to attend in order to argue that they staged a transcendent conference unlike any other on Somalia. This is about David Cameron and his own political perception and international sway.It takes an incredible leap oof faith to believe any Somali entity is a motivating factor behind this conference. The recent Parliament debate that you are referring to as if its a much indicator with respect to British policy, in fact showed how little Britian's parliament cares about this issue. There were 15 MP's maximum present for this debate and about 5 left during the course of it. Its just not that important and nothing that will transform the status quo will come out of this. A much more sober analysis would be for you to read my words as they are and not as you precieve them, saaxib. At no point did I claim that the premise of this conference was to portray SL in a positive light. In fact, I actually gave two options and bet on one being the correct one (you do understand the concept of betting, don't you?). Again, my reply was to Nassir believing that the British have changed their tune. Obviously, and as the exchanges in that house of commons meeting indicate, they have not. Do you dispute any of this or just wish to beat up that red herring you created there?
  7. ^^ It's because we're missing Lucas that we are in the position we're in. Still, we're in one cup final and should make it through to the latter stages of another. That's progress right there. Bob, one of your teams won and the other lost to bottom of the table team. How awful is the life of a two teamer.
  8. ^^ We have played well and have a very good team, saaxib. That the team did not gel enough to win us the league is, for me, understandable (with hindsight). However, next season, I will also aim for the league and hope that we win it. I'm not sure what your qoute proves.
  9. They're not "Al Shabab" anymore. They're Al Qaida In The Horn Of Africa. Nacala waxay yiheen......
  10. ^^ The other is a photograph that requires accompanying commentary to understand the context. This one is as clear as daylight and then some. A thousand words? On each face, perhaps.
  11. ^^ Won't work. We're outnumbered at home. At any rate, when I feel left out, I usually speak Carabi and confuse the whole lot of them.
  12. ^^ Take care. Juxa, I don't do gifts (in any occassion). It's a slippery slope that I would never want to go down. Bal adigu imagine if I became the gift giving sort of guy and it becomes enternched in my DNA. What if, later in life, I got myself a mistress and, because I'm a gift giving guy, I began to buy her gifts! What if I confuse my gifts and give the wife the mistress's gifts? I am absent minded and I know it could easily happen. Better play it safe and not open that gift giving door nooh.
  13. The askari there has not time for what Sheikh Sharif is saying, he saw a camera and struck a pose.
  14. It's been a full year since Dahabo arrvied. Last week, she spoke on the phone to her mother in Burco. We put the call on the speaker phone and laughed our heads off as we listned to the conversation. The mother spoke in Somali and the daughter replied in English. Heh.
  15. ^^ It was stu pid. The word I mean. As for jacayl day, it's an uuf day. I make a point of never remembering it. Ha! This reminds me of another day. Ha!
  16. They sang before the game. They sang during the game. They sang in extra time and they sang during the spot kicks. Now that they won it, I doubt they'll stop singing.
  17. ^^ Nothing can be 'cooked up' in advance in such conferences, saaxib. Not unless the parties involved have already agreed on the 'final solution'. Which, though I believe might exist as a blue print is not yet a foregone conclusion. Still all to play for as I keep on saying. That's the beauty of diplomacy, saaxib.
  18. NASSIR;788389 wrote: Ngonge, The primary concern for us is not the possibility of Somalia's partial or full dismemberment first and foremost. The British foreign secretary made it clear in his speeches that his government would not violate the territorial integrity of Somalia. The AU is irrelevant and can't impose unilateral partition on our country. Partition if it ever plausibly acceptable in the eyes of the Somali people would be done through a national referendum and mutual agreement. However the real issue I address in this topic is accountability for the money the secessionist authority gets from the UK gov't and for setting up assurances that such funds aren't diverted for political purposes. Without betting on the side of a minority secessionist group, I think the UK government needs to balance its colonial nostalgia with practical political consideration for all Somali stakeholders. The AU is irrelevant? Talk sense, saaxib. As for imposing partation, the partation already exists adeer. It merely requires international confirmation. The UK has already made its position clear and said that it will not be the first to recognise SL (not that it will not recognise it; note the distinction). As for the rest, what are you really talking about here and why is it relevant when you are actually for the forever corrupt Somali Republic? Talks sense I said. Guru, I am merely interperting the exchanges in the house of commons, saaxib. However, though I am slightly concerned I still do not share your massive worry when it comes to this conference. Posession is nine tenths of the law and SL is (on the whole) in posession of its lands. If the worst comes to the worst (which I hightly doubt), Siilaanyo can walk out and refuse to put his signature to anything. Still, you know and I know that after preparing the people of SL for recognition and nationhood he can't carelessly go ahead to a sudden conference and sign away their dreams just like that. He certainly can not hope to remain president should SL lose one inch of its land or dignity in this process. Turn the idea about in your head, let it simmer and tell me how in the world could he come back home with anything less than progess in the area of recognition. p.s. Should it go wrong, I'd demand the impeachment first. But, like I said in my quote above and from all the signs so far, I can't see it going wrong.
  19. ^^^ Dalglish got it wrong yesterday. He should have not started with Downing or Spearing. He should have played Maxi & Adam. United (like last season at Old T) controlled the midfield and either Gerrard nor Spearing could cope with them. Still, it was a very close game and we didn't get outplayed. Suarez plays with his heart. I am not surprised he didn't shake Evra's hand. Still, they made him apologise now. Heh. (Fourth place is still possible now that Chelsea and Newcastle lost. We're still four points behind them and Arsenal). Heh.
