  1. ^^ Ooops. Totally forgot about that. (Have you looked?). Edit: Liverpool Football Club can confirm that it has received approximately 31,500 tickets for the Carling Cup final. The full selling details will be confirmed on Tuesday afternoon and published on Liverpoolfc.tv. We would kindly request that supporters wait until the selling notice is released before contacting the club with any queries.
  2. ^^ That was a quick clarification. :D
  3. Breaking News..Hargeisa just decided to break away from SL!
  4. What 'freedom'? War yaan lago maqlin. p.s. Juxa, Americans and Aussies have to file their tax returns regardless.
  5. The Zack;782322 wrote: NGONGE, The khaatumo clan sat down and decided to discuss what they really want to do with their state, the garaads, the issimo, the culimaa were there. They decided whatever they decided. It's up to them it it works or fails, the concern we have here is simple. One clan doesn't tell another clan what to do with their towns. Why is it difficult the SL clan to understand that simple logic. These people have spoken and they have spoken very clear and loud, they don't want to have anything with SL. There are some of them that are still in hargeisa and what so but you and I both know where the majority stand . The arrogance part of yours is obvious, you implied the Khatumo people are inferior and are not capable to have and manage their own state. If SL did it, what makes you think that Khatumo can't? Keep in mind this community is now more united than they have ever been . Like I said, I understand that your sympathy lies with Khaatumo but I was asking you to engage your brain, saaxib. I gave the example of the three presidents. I hinted at the division evident with Khaatumo and I mentioned their kin that are in support of SL. You can call it arrogance if it makes you happy, saaxib. I call it common sense. As for your question about why aren't they capable to have and manage their own state, I'd say ASK THEM, not me. However, if you want my answer, I would say it is becuase they ALL want to lead and not many want to follow (case in point: THREE PRESIDENTS). Wax fahan.
  6. Guru, all that depends on how SL is recieved and treated. These are things that (usually) get ironed out beforehand. Now, if I were a betting man I would wager that the SL government is (right at this moment) haggling with the Brits over the details of the reception. It's all about diplomacy and how the Brits arrange the decks. Furthermore, with the option of 'opting out', SL has plenty of wriggle room. I would not dismiss our attendance just yet. We could even attend and then stage a 'walk out' for maximum publicity.
  7. ^^ No we're not. You are in the 'cagta ku walaq' xisbi and not even Che is in your party.
  8. Oodweyne;782299 wrote: Ngonge , I agree with you on substance sense. But, the trouble is politics, in nine tent sense, is about optics and forcing the "narrative" of that same chatter (in which you and I, knows, will take a walk, when the reality hit the road, or as Baashi used to say around here: when the rubber meets the road), in your favour. In other words, I agree with you, in substance sense; for we are still the ones with the political cards in here. But, I wish we should be on the on offensive on the optics side of things; as well as "forcing-the-narrative" of the situation in our favour. Hence, the original genesis of my particular criticism, as well as the angle in which I am coming from, indeed. I understand your position and if it were PL that you have a dispute with, I would see why you would want the government to flex its muscles a bit. However, these problems are with people the SL government (no, YOU) consider fellow citizens. It would be a sad day in the history of SL if we go back to the days when the government bombards any dissenting voices and tries to shut them up by the power of the gun. Remember, you don't support SL because it has "borders to close" nor becuase it's the strongest bully in town. I am assuming you support SL for higher asperations and goals (democracy, freedom, justice, etc). None of these things could ever be achieved if we were trigger happy and always on the attack, saaxib.
  9. Che -Guevara;782293 wrote: ^It's not Khaatumo project that's the issue. Who knows that might indeed end in failure but what is troubling is NGONGE's belief that one population is somehow more justified and competent in pursuing their cause while the other can be coerced or wooed while bullets are being sprayed at them. Keep speaking for me, adeer. Zack, what is arrogant about stating the obvious? Now I know that your sympathies lay with Khaatumo but that should not mean that you discard your sense, saaxib. Is it arrogant to state that SL is better equipped and has the bigger army? It is twenty years old whilst the other is simply days old. Wax fahan. As for the nonense that Che is spouting above dee waa iska nonesense. I weigh and measure situations then go with what makes sense the most. I have looked at Khaatumo and looked at the Khaatumo supports and considered the history of Khaatumo before concluding that it is nothing but a flash in the pan, saaxib. If the Khaatumo supporters can't aknowledge the presence of a sizable number of their kin on the SL side and would rather dismiss it as "one or two mercenaries", if when they eventually sit down and create a state they choose a president and two vice presidents (though I have not seen anything explaining that part and it looks to me like THREE presidents), why do you expect me (or even yourself) to conclude that such a state would last for six months, saaxib? I am not privy to what goes on in Khaatumo itself or the inner workings of that state, but I can already see that lots of cracks have been pepered over and lots of temporary compromises made. How long do you think this will last? Why then should I not believe there is still hope of selling the SL project to that lot? Bal wax sheeg, saaxib.
  10. ^^ Heh. War I have a few harsh words of my own against our illustrious leader (with all that Oromo deportation, arresting of Journalists, etc). Even on this issue, I fully disagree with his deployment of the army there. So, no, I am fully on your side when it comes to criticising the shortcomings of this government. However, I believe that many people got caught up in the bubble that is Khaatumo and don't think Faisal's overreaction is merited here, saaxib. Bal adigu try to view the landsacpe and tell me what exactly has changed today? - Skirmishes between the SL army and the SSC? We've had these before. - Khaatumo Unity? We've had that before and not until they openly aknowledge the cracks within and the role their kin on the SL side play will they have full unity. - A lopsided Khaatumo admin? War maxa cusub dee? - Noise coming from all parts of Somalia about the imminent collapse of SL? "ii wad sheekada" iska dheh - Conferences attempting to fix Somalia? Now that's a first! Marka, aside from the excitable chatter of in the 'Somali/Somaliland Street', what exactly is new or different here? It'll pass, saaxib.

Guru, you seem to have been swept away in the moment (just like Eng. Faisal). Nothing is as drastic as it seems, saaxib. Take a step back and view the situation from a distance, guru. Wa isla iyaadii, saaxib.

  13. The Zack;781158 wrote: Every SOLer should clearly tell us their position on this war. It is assumed that you are in favor of it if you don't oppose it. Xaaji Xunduf, Jaceylbaro, Mintid Farayare ( I thought he was a reasonable fella), AfricaoWn, EVEN RED SEA, and Saalax are for it. The list shall continue. AT&T, Xiin, Khadar, Aaliyah, Liibaan are all against it. NGONGE, you can't be "neutral" on this one, old man. Take a position. Are you sure Xiin, Khadar, Aaliyah & Liibaan are against it or is it that they're only against it when SL is the agressor? War there is nothing 'neutral' about war. I do not condemn war out of cawardice or a belief that the rag tag militia of Khaatumo could beat the better equipped and organised SL army (for one is a state that spent twenty years organising itself and strengthening it's armed forces and the other is a tiny town in the middle of nowhere with locals carrying guns). However, because it is my belief that the Khaatumo lot will eventually join the SL cause, I see no point in driving them away by starting pointless wars and punishing those that SL regards as citizens (it just makes no sense). The only group to benefit from war here are the Khaatumo lot. It gives them the chance to claim victory one minute and cry about massacares the next (which all goes towards rousing the crowds and further strengthening the idea of 'Khaatumo'). Still, call me blinkered or whatever else you like, I can't see Khaatumo lasting long (with or without SL interference). Is that a strong enough position for you, Zack?
  14. ^^ Things have been changing for years yet they always stay the same. Have you any concrete evidence of this 'change' this time? Don't say it's three-president's Madusa (or was it Khaatumo). Don't tell me it's www.awdalstate.com..Don't tell me it's the conference in London. What is it warya? My eyes are wide open but I can't see anything.
  15. ^^ Is it confirmed that it is two dozen deaths? Who attacked whom and how and when? Is there proper confirmation from a trustworthy SSC member? Qof runta sheega uun wax hana sheego dee. Xiin, Like I told you, I know your limitations saaxib and I don't worry about your empty spin much. You are what you are, adeer. Yours, was like a balloon letting out air, it happened gradually and didn't come as a shock when all the air finally was out. His was sudden and really unexpected (but even then I still have hope).
  16. Arsene was never a tactician Going an entire season unbeaten? Winning the league in his first full season after Bruce R struggled with the SAME group of players can be done without being a tactician? Winning the double twice does not require you knowing and understanding tactics? Was Ray Parlour, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires or Fredie Lungburg bought by Comolli? War give the man his dues. He has been a brilliant manager for Arsenal and totally changed the way that team played (remember the old Graham days when the popular chant was 1-0 to the Arsenal?). Wax fahan.
  17. ^^ Diplomacy is a queer game, saaxib. Like I said, as things stand, there is nothing to gain from attending this conference. However, it all depends on how strongly the Brits want SL to attend and what they're willing to concede in the process (an item on the agenda hinting at SL's situation perhaps?). Still, if no 'carrots' are forthcoming, I'd safely argue that Siilaanyo will tell them to stick it.
  18. SL is probably trying to add a couple of items to the agenda before agreeing to attend. For as things stand, there really isn't much that concerns SL in this meeting.
  19. Hunguri, salaan sare saaxib. Ya yedhi me and A&T are not in the best of terms? Siilaanyo never went out of his way to phone me all the way from Africa, saaxib. A&T did. Lakin dee hadaan hadalkiisa wax ka diido waan o sheegi candhoof na waan raacin (and he does the same).
  20. Valenteenah.;780437 wrote: It does sound like in NG la duufsaday. I have never seen him calling people liars before. A_Khadar, I think NG wants you to acknowledge that the 'ciidamada qaranka' that are/were attacking Buuhoodle may have contained men from the Sool region, just as LA was held for SL by men from LA. This is a fairly easy thing to acknowledge as a possibility since there are still some Soolers in the employ of SL. Beyond this though, magaranayo wuxuu kaa rabo. Unless he is implying that the whole 'ciidamada qaranka' are made up of the Khaatumo clan, which will beg the question: does Siilaanyo trust his neighbours enough to fill his army with them? LoL. I went to sleep and when I woke up I still feel that Khadar is a beenale and still can see Xiin's limitations. Wax is badalay ma jiro. Now, VAL, don't go join the lying group and guess at my positions when I am here to explain them myself. Khadar yaano beenta ku barin. My issue here is with Khadar and it goes over several threads. One minute he wants to appeal to my logical side and discuss the matters fairly (which, I believe I did and do). The next he wants to appeal to the emotions and talk about oppression, which again I clearly gave my opinion on in loads of threads (My SSC thread clearly tells you all that I do not support war and see no reason for such attacks). At the same time, he wants to peddle propaganda and lies (like the massacre thread, etc). I don't mind propagandists. We have loads on this site and I take them as I see them. I don't mind the confused, we have plenty of those and I enjoy spending my time making fun of them (Che & his nationalists spring to mind). I don't mind the openly direct clannists, Duke is one of my favourite posters. But what I truly despise and dislike are the liars. VAL, I do not want Khadar to aknowledge just that. I want him to tell the whole truth and stop the spinning. Or else, he should stop dedicating threads to me asking me to justify attacks I don't approve of to begin with. Before siding with my tol, before claiming SL, before being a Somali and before even being a Muslim I am (and remain) a MAN. I am not a dishonest man and I would rather the women, children and elderly of the whole of Somalia burn and get pissed on by wild Xabashi's before any man or woman dare to accuse me of dishonesty. Likewise, SSC or SL, Khaatumo or Somalia can go to deepest hell before I begin to entertain a liar. When I said Khadar disappointed me I meant it and I'm still annoyed at my error of Judgment (I have not been this angry since Baashe told me his bedtime stories about the H collective. Suppose I'll get over it one day). p.s. It used to be "words on a screen" but nowadays this screen has people that KNOW me. Wax fahma.
  21. ^^ Maybe you are right. Maybe I am feeling distressed. Let me sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning.
  22. Khadar, accuse me of anything you want, saaxib. I am only going to repeat that you are a big fat beenale. Maxaan kaa la hadla marka? go argue with those that want to peddle lies like you. Anigu nin xinyo leh (oo aan khashaafin) baan la doodi kara. Xiin, so kuu man odhan I already know your limitations, adeer? Stop pulling my shirt sleeve while I'm talking to the beenale.
