Naga daa dee. 28 children is no small number for a "struggling" man. He probably gets a good pay and his only problem here is that bullet in his neck. p.s. The first one has put a white towl on his gun. p.p.s Cheer up, they're all still alive.
  2. Qandalawi;825723 wrote: ^NG, That Somalis have been to everywhere is neither here nor there, its irrelevant in this case. You may be right that Somalis have been to all over but were not welcomed and granted citizenship everywhere, they faced hard and brutal treatment in most cased and welcomed in certain cases mainly in the west. So following your logic should we only allow westerners? This is about rules and procedures of the country, and all countries differ. It is said that difference between a city boy and geel jire is that the first is an "ilbax", "waayo arag", etc. He learns from exprience and from being exposed to new worlds, issues and events. To say that Somalis have been to everywhere is neither here nor there shows that your "ilbaxnimo" (sadly) does not extend beyond a new haircut or Arsenal's signing of a new centre forward, adeer. You have been on the other side. You have seen the other systems. You know what it is like to be the "outsider". You (hopefully) despise racists, xenophobes and narrow-minded people. The experiences you've had in the West (or anywhwere else) have hopefully broadned your mind and made you look at things with "new" eyes and knowledge. Why do you get to use the wealth, facilities and services of another society once you've lived there for an x number of years but refuse to share yours with someone who has lived in your country for a similar number of years? What makes you any different to the hopeless geel jire, adeer?

Haatu;825384 wrote: I don't see why those that oppose the constitution are causing khalkhal when there is a proper platform for these discussions to take place: the upcoming gathering on its ratification. All this rabsho only causes more and more confusion. You would have thought the Somali PM would have been are reasonable as you, saaxib. The entire khalkhal is his fault and his fault alone.
  4. PL will indeed try to seek independence the minute SL gets its recognition. They can't help themselves.
  5. ^^ UAE didn't have millions of its citizens scattered all over the world and going through hoops to become citizens of other countries. SOMALIA HAS! It's the latent xenophobia that make people complain about such a clause. Happens the world over.
  6. Oz;825663 wrote: ^^^^^ Your league form has to be a worry though, just why are you so bad? It'd be delusional to think things are just gonna miraculously get better next season as well. It's not just a freak set of results... you've won 5 match in 18 home league games.. QPR & Blackburn have won more! I'd be seriously worried If I was a Liverpool fan - not only have you got a manager who looks as if doesn't know what he's doing in the league, your squad is full of dead wood & neither are likely to change in the summer. The cups are nice for the fans, but they're just papering over the cracks. Rubbish. In 36 games in the league, we only had three games where the players didn't try or the team did not dominate the opposition. If we were playing "badly" I would agree with you about us having "deadwood" and the like. But that's not true. Go check out the PL stats, saaxib. Go watch the games back if you have to. The only thing we were missing are goals and LUCK (lots of lots of luck). I personally would be happy not to change much in this team. Two new players will be more than enough.
  7. ^^ Don't mix your fights warya. PL deserves its own thread and argument from you, you really shouldn't get it mixed up with this argument over the constitution.
  8. ^^ I am not saying anything. It's you who seemed to be complaining. Wax fahan.
  9. N.O.R.F;825667 wrote: ^It does matter. I'm talking about economic migration. You're mixing the two. Refugees from across the border are likely to be Somalis and they're welcome. If they're not Somali and are fleeing persecution and remain in the country for a length of time that would be fine also (unless their country is stable again before the 5 years requirement). Sheltering refugees is an international requirement anyway. Economic migrants who do a job we lack the necessary numbers for should be given the chance to become citizens. Thats fine. What I'm opposing is letting every Tom, Dick and Harry enter the country and be allowed citizenship 'just because'. You disappoint me warya. You've lived in four different countries and visited a dozen more. You've come across racists, right wingers and xenophobes in all the places you've been and yet, you're still talking with a village mentality! An economic migrant still has to enter the country and recieve a visa for doing so. Should they spend five years amongst Somalis and get used to the culture, customs and lifestyle, whilst also paying their taxes and making a contribution to society, why should they not be allowed to remain and become Somalis? YOU have and almost every last person posting on this site has!

28 children? Mashaallah! TFG pay must be really good.
  12. ^^ I only memorise the most popular current songs. As you've seen above, they come in handy. (inaad iga yartahay waan ku qiray lakin your question makes it sound like you're taking the girls' side. Naga daa dee). Malika, carry on doing your own thing dear. As I always say "I was here first".
  13. N.O.R.F;825641 wrote: Proportionally more than in London Don't confuse seeking asylum as a refugee with economic migration. It don't matter. The end result is the same. As Somalis who have been through this in the past and know how it all feels, you would have expected most to understand the fairness of such a rule. I mean it's not as if the whole world is going to flood into Somalia. The ones that have and will, are the refugees from across the border. Let them be and don't be a xaasid.
  14. ^^ I am not old dee. Well, not the kind of old they think I am. Still, it does help sometimes. Like the other day when they had an argument on our way to school and I could only stop them from carrying on by belting out "never mind I'll find someone like youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu". According to them, old men should never sing in public.
  15. I refuse the odey tag becuase it is something my girls believe I am. Had the following conversation with them yesterday... Me: "TV will only be allowed on the weekend. I'm banning it for the rest of the week" Daughter 1: "That's not fair. We are your kids. You have to love us, care for us and give us everything we want" Daughter 2: "Exactly. And, anyway, NEXT YEAR, when you're even OLDER who do you think will have to look after you?" Me: "What do you mean by next year? I am not that old!" Daughter 1: "You are VERY old. It'll take me years and years to get to your age. How many days is that?" Daughter 2: "Over a THOUSAND. Maybe even a MILLION days!" Me: "I AM NOT THAT OLD" Daughter 1: "You're older than EVERYONE in this house. In fact, if you add up the ages of all the children in the house we'll still be younger than YOU, old man" Daughter 2: "Yeah, you're almost DEAD!" Me: "If your plan was to sweet talk me into allowing you to watch TV during the week, I really don't think you've done a good job here" Daughter 1: "Heheh..but you're sooo soo OLD" Daugther 2: "You're the oldest person I know!" Me: " What about your granddad or grandmother?" Daughter 1: "I know they're older than you but you still seem OLDER. It's actually strange!" Daugther 2: "Mum's friend said that I had a very young grandmother" Daughter 1: "True. She actually looks younger than you. Are you REALLY sure she is your mother?" Me: "Easy with the insults, darling. I'm going to tell her what you just said" Daughter 1: "I bet she'll be happy about me calling her young. Heheh" Me: "Yes but she will not be happy about you saying she's not my mother" Daughter 2: "So, do we have a deal? You let us watch TV and we will look after you NEXT YEAR" Me: "No deal. I'm going to outlive both of you insha allah" Daughter 1: "Are you saying you want us to die BEFORE you? What kind of dad says that?" Me: "The kind that has a daughter who claims that his mother is not his mother" Daughter 2: "Who?" Daughter 1: "If we say you're young, will you let us watch TV?" Me: "Only on the weekends" Daughter 2: "What are we supposed to do with ourselves in the meantime?" Me: "Read a book or write a story" Daughter 1: "FINE. We're going to write a story about these girls who had a dad that banned them from watching TV" Daughter 2: "YEAH. And the next year, when he was so old and weak the girls refused to look after him" Son: "Girls, girls, The House Of Anubis just started" Me: "NO TV!" Wife (shouting from the hallway): "They watch it everyday. Let them finish it and then your ban can start" Daughter 2 (walking causually past and smiling): "NEXT YEAR, I'm going to be good to you".
  16. ^^ I did wonder how you would have coped to be honest. Ten days away was more than enough for me. Does it mean I've been domisticated? p.s. alpha, my game is brilliant.
  17. ^^ It's not called 'office politics' for nothing. You can never become a bystander, you must take part and make sure your game is GOOD. Juxa is too nice, she only knows how to bully me and nuune in SOL.
  18. N.O.R.F;825597 wrote: Skilled people only. Doctors, engineers, technicians, investors etc. How many Somalis in Sheffield are skilled warya? How many got their sharci in five years? Rise above the petty stuff, people.
  19. ^^ What's Xiin got to do with anything here? His misplaced trust in another dodgy cause has nothing to do with the awful conduct of the Somali PM. Naga daa dee.
  20. Carafaat;825037 wrote: Ngonge, if one is serieuz about this consultation then why call opponents or critics 'spoilers'? He could have simply said, we hear you and we are going to change those articles the Somali people disagree about. And then make some minor changes. Sharif is getting good advice and seem to be following it to the letter. As the leader of this sorry lot, he can't possibly be against the constitution but, as Somali president, he also can't appear to be fully in bed with outsiders making threats to his people. Balan qaadko waa bilaash ninyaho. Every politician does it and hardly any fulfil their promises.
  21. Carafaat;825084 wrote: Ngonge, its not because he is an amateur. I suspect he is planning to give them poisoned food last minute when they have no other alternatives. You give him too much credit, saaxib. He's a rabbit caught in the headlights.
  22. This whole "misunderstanding" is his fault. He's set the table, invited everyone for dinner but once people got bored of waiting for the food to be delivered, he began protesting that most of them don't even know what he's about to serve. Total amateur!
  23. uchi;825018 wrote: I don't get it, what is his job exactly? Where was he when they made it? This is embarrassing~ It's a draft constitution and has not been adopted yet. He met some elders and they told him about their worries regarding some aspects of this draft. He's now trying to appease them by making these comments. Nothing embrrasing about any of this really. The fault lies with the PM and his awful ability with "managing" the media.
  24. NGONGE

    Spoilers!

They're jumping in early with the tag of "spoilers" and creating a fight where none exist!
  25. ^^ Play along dee. The country you mention has a "constitution". Wax fahan.
