  1. ^^ Masaakiinta aan Burco wax ku laheen ayaa yidhaahda "Budh baan sita, reer Burcaan ahay" ama "Shaaha ii shuba, reer Burcaan ahay"..War I'm going there soon, don't make me introduce them to saxlab!

Adiga you have that Xamaasad reserved for the Arabs, u jump in evey time some one mentions them, do they notify you when ever 'Arab' is typed?. I also jump in every time someone says anything about the English. Waa iska geel jire habit, meelahaan biyo ku oga ama ka cabay ayaan iska difaacaa! p.s. Abdullahi Yusuf might have made mistakes (and which human doesn't?) but in the end it is all a point of view (scholars and all).
  3. How do you allow yourself to drink coffee at work, Juxa? Don't listen to Norf. After a few hours, your mouth will stink and have a bad sour taste in it. Yac!
  4. Heh! Double post in between two replies. Crazy computer. Heh.
  5. Norf, Coffee is an awful drink (even tea is better and I hardly drink tea). Maaddeey, qofka gacanta jeebka gacanta galiya waa qof meel baahi jirto ag maray oo naxarees aawadeed wax o sameeyay. Anigu I was cornered and had no choice. How did you get out of the plane then?

  7. Dull stuff. BBC drama these days is all rushed with weak storylines.
  8. Heh@in the eyes of true Somalis..sorry, I could not get beyond that first line. Is there such a thing as a 'true Somali' and can you point to one single (living) true Somali that all in here would agree with? Naga daaya.
  9. ^^ I don't drink coffee. I never drink coffee. In fact, I hardly ever go to the staff room (it's good to keep an aloof distance, for when you have to stab them in the back ). I come in, I switch everything on and then sit back and read the paper. After that, I come to SOL.

The 'khashaaf' I had in mind is the feeling I get when I see you talking politics. p.s. Would Xaaji X write it as qatiyaan? Naga daaya..
  11. LST I only saw a tiny little maqaaxi when I was last there. Have no idea if they opened any more. But, if they did, it may be in the Arab suuq. Just beware when you're in those areas; one wrong turning and you'll be face to face with a naked prostitute. At least in Holland you get a warning.

  13. ^^ This one was dressed well and looked genuine. Unlike the one a few months ago who claimed to to have arrived recently from xamar and had fathered two (or was it three?) children who all were riddled with bullet wounds. He went on to ask me for "wax sarif ah".
  14. Heh. Now here is a brother who totally misunderstood the meaning of hijab.

  16. On my way back from lunch. Sat on a bus reading a copy of the Sun newspaper that a previous passanger had left on the seat. The bus stops and new people get on. I hear a voice saying "ma Somali baad tahay?". I left my head and look up. It's a well dressed Somali guy (down to his leapord skin shoes ). Me (slightly confused and caught unawares): Haa Him: Barasho wanaagsan Me: Err..erm..marxaba Him: Ma halkanaad dagantahay? Me (thinking he's asking about the bus): Err..London? Him: Anigu Marikankaan ka imid Me: Fasax? Him: Haa Me: Haye, London ka waran? Ma ka heshay? Him: London way fiicantahay lakin fasaxaan masiibu isu badalay! Me (alarmed): Maxa dhacay? Him: Xaaskaaan iga baxsaday! Me: Yaa? Him: Xalayto. Anoo horda, ayaay alaabtiida guratay oo iska baxday! Me (lost for words): Hmmmm Him: Waxaan ku kacay hotel roomka oo madhan! Me: Did you have a fight? Him: No, man. She just woke up and left. Me: Does she have family here? Him: Haaa Me: Do you know where they live? Him: No. I have to go and find them now. She can stay if she wants, I just want my cards back. Me (wondering if he'll ask me for money): Hmmmm Him: Do you know how I can get to Victoria from here? Me: You're on the wrong bus! Him: Do I have to top up my Oyster when I get on the next bus? Me: Probably. Him: Oooh! Me (with my own inner ooh): What's the problem? Him: I topped up my Oyster with 2.70 twice but I'm not sure if it'll be enough for the next bus. Me (searching my pockets and picking something out): Err..will this do? Him (pressing the bell for the bus to stop): Jazaka Allah.. Me (waving him away): Good luck. Hope you find her. Him (shouting across from the door of the bus): I don't want her anymore, I only want my cards.
  17. Last year there was no machine. This year there is machine. It's a progress of sorts. But Oday wants it to look like Heathrow!
  18. ^^ Your favourite airline out of Sharjah no less.
  19. Khashaaf? Khaatayaan? (Neither are Arabic words).
  20. ^^ I know dee. I'm doing an 'alpha'. Wax fahan.
  21. Uuf me, not you. Wax fahan. Norf, I just did it ( I think). Guess where?
  22. Uuuf. She beat me again. Morning all. Warya Norf, are you saying it's too late?
  23. Can't see youtube clips at work. Can't comment on what I can't see. But what I do see, are lots of people who hid all season and are now out to sing against LFC. Cowards.
