Nur, I'm sure I am not the first one to say this, but not every women who doesn't wear Hijab falls under #3. So you need to EXPAND your categories a little to include MAJORITY of the gender. Another good idea would be not to post useless topics like this!

Why should any of you care about their personal business? You are just giving her more ajaar right now Khayr. And to think, you were a shiekh-in-training. Wrong was I!
-
Health issues. You touch everything with your hands. Even if you scrub like a surgeon, you there are still some risks. Eating from the same plate as other is worse (if not disgusting). When I go to cazuumad, i ask for a fork!

Myth: Somali women who get education and a good career lose their culture and deen (instead of making it stronger). Oh n dare I say, exemplify characteristics of a feminist!

Qac'qaac u sheeg gabdhahaan in eesan kugu filneen oo eesan ku xawilikarin..lol.. Now, does anyone else figure out what is wrong with this sentence? Garab, first of all this thread is about the GYM, and here you are making disgusting references to tampons and how it doesnt fit..and what have you (for those of you who don't read somali). I think you are acting in a perverted manner and I hope that the admin (as soon as he clears out his PM box) will delete this message. Now back to the topic at hand. Raula, good idea..I miss volleyball..but i always hurt my wrist after every game..maybe my serve is not right

Raxmah, Girl, you have it rough. I can't say the same thing happens to me, as most of my family members got married in their late 20s. Just tell them you will get married when the opportunity presents itself and that right now its not THE TIME. Gosh, I wonder how you can get married younger than 20. They are still babies !!!

^^ **Two thumbs up** lol@ Nightmare about a tampon chasing him. Too funny!

Happy Be-lated B-day Sade!

Acuudibilah, some men in here are so insecure. But I'm not even going to go there. Tamina, girl who goes at 6 am anymore? I adore my sleep (one of the best exercises). X, elliptical machine is like a treadmill and stairmaster combined. So It is better than treadmill (and less dizzying too). Jasmine, you always feel tired during the begining. You feel out of breath, your muscles are cramped, and all the good stuff. The good news is it gets better after a month. Thats when you have to step it up...its actually good that you are feeling tired! just don't pull or strain your muscles and Form is everything. Barwaaqo, Actually, if you start going regularly, you will become an addict! Raxmah, I love swimming but hate the chlorine. N I am not particularly fond of wearing T-shirts with my swimming gear, as it gets in the way...see my predicament! I havent been swimming in ages thou..I'll start going this summer. Mobb Deep, who died and made you a personal trainer? What kind of certification do you have ? Pearl, a misconception. Seeing obese people at the gym is actually a rarity (maybe cuz they worked it out ). But I love the gym and I'm not fat.

I regret procrastinating every single time I have an exam or paper, so that I end up rushing last minute.

Princess, Girl, I heard after the age of 25, you gain 5 pounds for every year. You know the best cardio is the elliptical machine (better than treadmill and running combined). Find that machine in your local gym and trust me, those hips will slowly disappear to whereever they came from Honestly, I find that walking doesnt really do much. I mean I pretty much walk to where ever I need to go and I don't see the difference. Just start warming up to the gym, and the minute you see results, you will be hooked guaranteed. I now look forward to my gym days (considering how much I used to hate the gym or any part of working out). I guess the worst part going to the gym is feeling inadequate when it comes to using the equipment, but start with one, and before you know it, you will have covered the whole gym before the summer is over!

My fam always thought I was weird for taking eating a hotdog rolled with canjeelo and ketchup. But I must say, This is the first time I've heard of Pica. Sounds dangerous!

The Nomad, Being out of breath happens when you haven't exercised regularly in a long time. You'll get over it in a week or so. I do find the treadmill annoying thou, always feels like I'm about to fall off or something. I use the track instead. Originally posted by Khayr: As for the GYM, women there is only 'ONE PART' in the man that needs to work out and that can't be done in the GYM (at least not with other people around ) Right, and I thought you were a shiekh-to-be and here you are making nasty jokes. It is so like you to think that I'm in a "good" mood because of a MAN. I guess you havent being reading all the threads I participate in
-
Nuune, That would be a good idea! Get off your lazy behind and pump some iron.
-
I'm sorry but did anyone else get that? Please, no qaxooti hijacks in this thread!
-
^ what? Og girl, lmao, you know that's what I say to myself every morning when its time to go to the gym. I love my weight, and I just want to sleep 5 more minutes! But I end up going because I get so much energy during the day. Not only do I feel great..I look great too
-
Qac Qac, That was a light-hearted joke. Be a man, and get over it!

**LAUGHING MY A** OFF**

Yup, time to tone and burn off that winter fat for the new season. How many of you go to the Gym regularly? what is the your favorite workout routine? and do you find them effective (see results)? Share your thoughts!

I don't drink milk.

lol@Phil.. Captain is bringing back memories! **singing along** Intution, If you watched the whole episode then you'd know its only part of the story. N' it had nothing to do with the Middle east. It IS the best show on T.V. (that and Alias).

Underdog, Brother, read my previous post again. I did not say "I", I said "Women". And no I am not threatened. But you need stop generalizing and critizing the Somali women who are trying to achieve something in this life. It feels like you want women to be homemakers only. At least that's what it comes off from your posting. If that's not what you meant at all, then I apologize. really! Garab, lol@confidence. You are too funny sometimes!
