  1. Somaliland's Foreign Affairs minister is in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Both Somaliland and Eswatini are the only two states in Africa that recognise the Taiwan as a sovereign State.
  2. Berbera's Old Cement Plant to get going within 2 years. It will have 720,000 tons capacity per year of Portland Cement. This will become the second cement factory in Somaliland and make Somaliland 6th largest cement producer in the Horn of Africa. Competition is always good for consumers.
  3. Fake news. Text - H.R.7170 - 117th Congress (2021-2022): Republic of Somaliland Independence Act | Congress.gov | Library of Congress WWW.CONGRESS.GOV Text for H.R.7170 - 117th Congress (2021-2022): Republic of Somaliland Independence Act
  4. I have come to the conclusion that Somali people are doomed. When corruption enters the home and all decency is thrown out the window, then you know there is nothing left. God help this people. I am convinced within our lifetime those who hold dear our culture, our religion and our traditions will be a minority.
  5. "Ukraine to ship 28,600 tons of grain to famine-stricken Somalia." https://kyivindependent.com/uncategorized/ukraine-to-ship-28-600-tons-of-grain-to-famine-stricken-somalia
  6. Fact, the Queen was Head of State for Somaliland between Feb 1952 and Jun 1960.
  7. In a relevant piece of information, Somalia's Passport no longer has the word "Sex" on its pages. All newer passports contain the word "Gender". Gender is a sexless word, which means anything can be claimed under that word. Whereas "sex" is only a binary word either Male or Female.
  8. I see a lot of South Somalia folks spend unnecessary amount of hours talking about the most successful School in Africa Abaarso Tech. Just because a CNN journalist visited the School and prepared some reports about its successes. The CNN journalist happens to be a well known Gay activist. The same CNN journalists was also on the ground in Mogadishu reporting on the humanaterian situation there a couple of year earlier. Waxa wax aad looga yaxyaxo ah, baarlamaanka Somalia oo dhexdiisa lagaga hadlaayo kalmado aad ka yaxyaxayso sida nin - nin kale u tagaaya, iyo naag meesha dhalmada meel aan ahayn looga tagaayo. Waa sharci dhan oo hor yaala Parlamaanka Somalia.
  9. Absolutely outrageous that Abtigiis is watching as Afar's regional security is masacring people inside Somali Regional state. Where is the bravado that Abtigiis was talking about when he was rounding up the nomads from Bakool region?
  10. It is from these tough moments that Somaliland makes the greatest strides in advancing itself to a new level. I am sure we will come out of this current crisis which is caused by a constitutional grey area, and learn from it and improve the next time.
  11. Unnecessary use of force. AUN dhamaan intii ku dhimatay a senseless confrontation. The sides need to come back to the table and agree on a path forward.
  12. Far from an act. It is the real bitter history that Afwayne didn't want you to know about. The fact is, Afwayne raped the Somali history both the history of South Somalia and Somaliland.
  13. Meticulous interview minutes with Sool clan elders clearly show how the Sool clan would praise the Brits. They favoured an Englishman by the name of Captain Dansey. Guess who they hated and complained about? IQ leader Haji Muse Farah. Key Demands of the Sool clan: 1. We are loyal subjects of the Crown. Willing to assume the role of informants of the administration (Snitching). 2. We request the removal of IQ military leader Haji Musa Faarah from our regions 3. We request the replacement be a British man 4. We are suspicious of the IQ interpreters, so we would like you rotate the interpreters so we can be confident the translation is not distorted. 5. We request arms supplies, so we can fight the Mad Mullah. These people were always had IQ-phobia. Hating the Brits is an after-thought.
  14. Faysal Roobleh hit the nail on the head. It seems certain clans love to get Ethiopia or Kenya involved into South Somalia's politics. What gives? Can someone shed some lights why these same clans over the last 30 years were bending over for Ethiopia or Kenya?
  15. No, this is China drafting the letter and handing it it to Somalia so they can just put their stamp on it. There was no input into the wording that say Somalia has anything to do with it. Just pure puppet-diplomacy.
  16. This is what happens when the whole thing is a farce, foreign propped up phantom government. Welcome to reality.
  17. Very lame. Even if I wasn't here, the question is still valid. Why include Somaliland into a topic that has nothing to do with it? Somaliland is not the same PL or JL or other FMS. We don't have any relationship with Ex-Italian Somalia at all.
  18. Care to explain why you have to include Somaliland? When Somaliland is not even in the picture, doesn't want to be in the picture? On the topic, Abiye Ahmed is desperate. The economic situation in Ethiopia is very dire. Foreign currency is in short supply as Ethiopia's exports come to grinding stop. Just the other day, USAID bailed out by sending Ethiopia $200m worth of Fuel via Djibouti. Because Ethiopia couldn't find the money to purchase the fuel on its own. Ethiopia is not like the Ethiopia under TPLF. Today's Ethiopia is teetering towards civil war, its economy is almost non-existent. Addis Abeba also doesn't have the political and diplomatic cover from the Western countries that it used to. So, anyone who is betting on Ethiopia, will get a slap on the face by the reality on the ground. With regards to HSM, he has a lot of things going for him. First, the International Community no longer has any appetite for the never ending quarrel, specially coming from PL. This is mostly from the experience of the last few years as opposition to Farmaajo's regime. The second thing going for him is that, he has good relations with key regional states including Kenya, Djibouti and UAE, as well as UK and EU. The US seems to be taking a back seat this time and is not on the front raw as it was at the start of Farmaajo's regime. I don't think HSM has given up on JL or PL. He just doesn't see them as top priority at this moment. Probably, PL is on focus during the PL election year in 2014.
  19. The kanaalo never stopped to begin with. They were just routed through Villa Somalia. I don't know which one is worse, Villa SOmalia doing the bidding or Baydhabo doing the bidding?
  20. From the outset, SNM had an arms-length relationship with the SSDF. They were not serious and just wanted to muck around We were serious and wanted, whatever it takes, at whatever cost, to topple Afwayne as soon as possible.
  21. When it comes to future of the people, we do not gamble. We are very serious. When you say small-fish in a big pond. That is very rich of you to say. I mean, the SNM actually trained and armed the USC melitia that occupied the whole of South Somalia. In fact, SNM was the strongest group if Post-Afwayne Somalia. In Feb 1991, the SNM dispatched the first and last delegation to Mogadishu. The report back to Hargeisa was grim. There was no hope. 30 years later, I am sure you are getting conditioned to accept that there is sill no hope. With regards to "Khayraad". I laugh at this assertion from South Somalia folks. Some of them claim, "Where will you buy Moos, we will cut off Moos from you". Dude! You never gave us Muus/Moos for free. There is other markets out there for Moos, happy to supply us as much as we need. Besides, the only real "Khayraad" that Somalia ever had is Livestock. Somaliland controls Livestock, period!!. In terms of production of cereals, Wajaale region has always performed well in terms of wheat/sorghum production. In fact, only Shabeele regions produced more. Go and read the documents from FAO in pre-1991. Somaliland has more seasonal rivers than South Somalia. With Juba and Shabelle rivers becoming season rivers, you are no better than us.
