Salamz, Ya Habiby I agree with most of the comments that you make in here but your Bayan (your wording) is so dense. The less words used, the easier to delineate the subjects being stated in the writing. But Alhamdillah, you are serving a better purpose inshallah by writing the way you do. You are indirectly telling others to enhance their english vocabulary and to pay more attention to what is being said in these threads. That why, inshallah better and lengthier discussions can be produced in Somaliaonline.
  2. Salams, There are the Salafis and there Ulama (Scholars) who fought hard to discredit all other Ulama and the concept of Ijtihad (Following the ruling of an Alim). They only believe that you should follow Quran and Sunnah straight (as if the avg. person can Understand the Wisdom of the Quran and the Sunnah by themselves). If that was the case, then why did the Sahaba ask questions en when the rasul (salallahu calihe wasalim) told them to do something. They think that they are Right and everyone else is wrong and going to Hell. There the the Ahl al Shia and they are so stuck on the Ahl al Bayt and the line of the rasul (salallahu calihe wasalim), that they often minimalize the role of the prohpet (salallahu calihe wasalim). They are so idealistic hat they forget that the the world still exists even after the 12 Imams. They often claim to be Shia first and in this way, they have seperated themselves (like the Salafis) from the rest of the Ummah. There the Sufis and their shayuk who dislike the Salafis and waste a lot of time rebuking them (Just look at Hamza Yusuf and Nuh ha mim Keller). Also, alot of them don't consider the Shias as being valid (Imam Ghazzali was of this view). Then there are the Modernists and their Ulama who claim that Islam and Modernism are compatible. This group of people have an Inferiority Complex and are always trying to tell the Non Muslims that we are just like them. I don't think that the message of Islam was for Secularism, liberalism, relativism (Nothing is Sacred and everything is relative meaning there is no God)etc. Most muslims in the West think like this. Then there are those Mahdists who believe in this dreaming concept of restablishing the Khalifiah but are waiting for that One Leader to do something. Untill that time, muslims can't have a leader. Idiottts!!! You mean to say that the Ummah is to freeze over and just wait for the Mahdi. Muslims need Imams to lead them where ever they are and to moblize. You can't live Islam outside of an Islamic Community lead by an Imam. All these different views and groups exist in the Ummah and the reason why the Ummah is so messed up and is losing the izza (grace) that Allah bestowed upon it is b/c the Stupid Ulama are too busy arguing amongst each other about who is more right and who is wrong. Subhanallah!!! No wonder why the Afghanistan got crushed and toppled over. The Talibans who where Salafis hated the Shias and these were the people of Iran who could have helped them out. The Shias of Iran where to caught up in reacting to the Hate of the Taliban that they stopped seeing them as Muslims. Now the Americans in Iraq where hoping to get the Shia Muslims on their side against the Sunni Muslims in their fight to kill all Iraqis. Why the mere thought of that is an Insult to Islam. To think that muslims could hate each other to side with a nonmuslim army against muslims. This is the Modern Age. The Age of Dajjal. This age is against all religions. Anything that says that the Word of God is Supreme and not the Word of Man i.e. Concepts like Freedom. So why hate the Christian, Hindu, Jew or another muslim who follows a different school of thought. As long as muslims agree on the main principles of the religion i.e. the 5 pilliars of Islam and the 6 pillars of Faith, all else is flexible. The methods are debatable but the basic principles are there.

'The poets say what they don't do' Thats why Allah looks down upon them in the Quran. Sophist, you write in such a way that only you can comprehend what you are saying and just because you are often mistunderstood doesn't make you brilliant!!! the problem with the issue of love is that when you are clinically sober and you have all the mechanisms of your mind is functioning then you can see the idiocy behind this mirage but it when you are engulfed the intensity of the euphoria that you lose your sight consequently Anything that makes a person addicted is khamir (an Intoxicant) and certainly Love can be an intoxicant. In this day and age, its often sold as something that can give you heaven on earth. In the Islamic concept of Love and Sex, Allah allowed the married couple to experience this b/c it is the closest sensation that man can have to something of heaven. So Allah is kinda of saying to Man, that what you will exerpience in Janna is like the sensation that you experience through love and sex but much much greater. In the modern age, when relationships have been devoid of religion and the Absolute, what is relative (the plain love and sexual desires) have become the Absolute (Superme, Godly etc.). It is when this seperation is created and transfigured, that people commit Shirk out right. They end up worshipping and living their entire life for their own self gratification and feelings. About the concept of Beauty, there is a hadith in which the rasul (salallahu aaliyhe waslim) said "Allah is Beautiful and He loves Beauty". There is Beauty in Allah's creation and ugliness is created when Allah doesn't give His blessing to something and that Thing is going against the Shariah of Allah. Modern day marriages that are not looked upon as being something done to serve the Sacred, have become a social affair. In our day and age, its even encouraged for couples to 'try each other out' before marriage. You can see how perverted this has become when you see Ministers performing wedding sermonies for gay/lesbian couples. The idea that one is completed by his “soul mate” (what a tosh) is nothing short of inferiority complex. Nothing can satisfy the soul except its Lord to whom it is from and belongs to. All other means of satisfying oneself deviod of this basic notion that All religions have in common, is Shirk. All religions have come with the aim for preparing the soul to return to its Lord in the best state that it can otherwise why would there be revelation if it isn't to prepare us for death and the next world.
  4. Salamz, Brown Sugah You have some very valid arguments. I think its not fair on the sister for the brother to expect so much from her when he is not living that lifestyle. Its Hypocrisy plain and simple and many somali and muslim men do it. If a man is going to be the head of the household, then inshallah he should always be watching his back to see if he is about to fall off. Always striving to be the best he can be. If your wife sees that your not giving it your all in the deen and in all other aspects of your life and your asking her to be this and that; then the brother should expect some heatttt from her!!! I like some of Scorpian Sista's arguments about not breaking a women but being gentle with her. If I am not mistaken, its a hadith about the women being like a rib thats bent and delicate. If you try to straighten it, then it will break. So you have to be patient and gentle. SO PLEASE RESPECT THE CHOICES THAT OTHERS MAKE said by SCORPIAN SISTA. I couldn't disagree with you more on this liberal notion that everybodys ideas and ways is valid. Whats wrong is WRONG no matter how you feel towards it or about it!!!
  5. Salams, Nice pictures Mujahid! You know earlier on this thread, some people identified themselves first and foremost as themselves. I now understand their responses and where they are coming from. Only people that have been raised in an Individualistic society would seek their own self-identity based on their individualism!
  6. Salamz, To Lefty If anything I wrote was false, then the error is mine and I accept responsibility. However, if there is Truth to what I said, then it is from Allah and not myself.
  7. Salamz, yes some of you are feeling angry and a little uneasy at the events occuring in the middle east. Not to forget not to long ago, afghanistan was in a similiar situation and alot of muslims were silent about that situation. Why the change? Could it be because this time around you see a classmate of yourz or a co-worker disagreeing on the U.S. Bombing campaign b/c they haven't found any weapons of 'Mass Destruction'. So if they did and they were Bombing them, I bet your neighbour would be all a OK for it and wouldn't care if there were innocent children and women being slaughtered. The kuffar all think alike. But anyways, so enough of the bickering and the cussing. What are you nomads prepared to do to help your muslim brothers and sisters? My honest opinion is that most of you won't do sh%t b/c you really don't care unless your own immediate family is being slaughtered. You know the real helping starts with working on yourself. "Allah does not change the condition of a people untill they change what is within themselves" Be tougher on yourself then ever before b/c afterall YOU ARE YOUR WORST ENEMY. Read more quran then you have ever done so and increase your ibadha. You have to inshallah work hard to build your Iman and Taqwa. Be aware of every little thing you do. e.g. Washing the dishes, not arguing with your mother, cleaning the bathroom, making all your salats on time are many examples that we often ignore their reprecussions. If you know another mumin is in need of assistance, try to dig deep inside of yourself and find ways to help them financially, emotionally etc. You could be helping by being aware that by strenghting yourself and home, that you intend to soon inshallah become financially stable enough to help them financially. (But if you've been saying that for the past few yrs. then you are fooling yourself and not helping anyone). When purchasing products try to give your money to muslim businesses (even if at times they might cost more). If your niyah is right, inshallah Allah will certainely compensate you. So the next time someone asks you What you are doing to help the Iraqi people, you can give them a concrete answer, inshallah! 'A STRONG BELIEVER IS STRONGER ON THE DEVIL THAN A 1000 MEN'
  8. what is the real definition of terrorist? AMERICANNNNNSSSSSSS! What other nation spends $500 billion a yr. on their national defence. They spend more on defence then all other nations put together. Conjuring up new ways to flatten people. There scientists do nothing but think of new ways to cause bigger and more lethal explosions. After all their motto is 'DO THE MOST DAMAGE WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME SO THAT PEOPLE QUICKLY FORGET ABOUT IT' I don't agree with any muslim group that bombs civilian places like cafes and bus stops (such as the Hamas). Surpisingly, most muslims deny that this is terrorism when its against Israelis. Where is the honor in becoming mass murderers? You don't break the hudud of the Shariah out of frustration. If that was the case, then we can say that sisters can take their hijabs off to find employment or abortion is halal when a women is raped. But the majority of the Ulama say that its Haram because one bent gate leads to more haram acts.
  9. Lefty, Why don't I transfer my right foot up your backside. Surely, then you won't be called Lefty. This is not an Arab issue. If it was, why did they bomb afghanistan or why did they support for an arms sanctions againts the Bosnian people when they were being massacred.
  10. Salamz, Anybody hear of the sandstorms that have increased around the war zone areas. I was listening to the news earlier today on the radio and they indicated that Dust Storms had risen and increased. You know these dust storms disable the precision targeted missiles from their warships and planes. Cause they can't see what they are trying to hit. But like they care what they hit, as long its in a muslim country its a 'GOOD TARGET AND CAN'T BE MISSED'.
  11. First it was the radio, Then Television, The Cell Then the Internet and as its being worked on, Artifical Intellegince such that you have a computer with you where every you go and you just speak to it and it obeys your command i.e. Like a holograph screen that appears at the touch of a button and you just speak to it. My brother and sister would lose sleep over not being able to access the internet (I am guilty of this in the past too!) and fight over it. That would upset them more then any other single catalyst. Inshallah, when searching for a wife, I think that I might ask the sister inshallah, if she has used the internet and more spefically-MSN Messenger (cursed thing!)
  12. Salams, My role models are: 1. The Rasul (salallahu caliyhe wasalim) 2. The Ahl al bayt 3. The Sahaba/His Companions 4. The awliyah ul Allah (Those close to Allah) 5. Any mumin/muminah that has the above mentioned people as Role Models, is also a role model for me.
  13. Salams, Hopefully inshallah people can put up some concrete suggestions on here so that way we can actually help each other. My two cents: -Invest in RRSP's because you can use your RRSP's to put $20,000 or more towards your first home. You can also use your RRSP's to purchase stocks, mutual funds etc. This is a great thing for those people that are always worrying about not having enough money to save a substantial amount. With RRSP's you can pay small amounts like $50,100,200 a month. RRSP's also help you to gain tax credits towards your income return. To be eligible for RRSP's , you just have to have a debt ratio of 40% of your total income. Meaning, if you make $1600, $600 or less of that money goes towards paying what you owe (such as student loan, credit cards etc.) Another tip, People who are good entrapeneurs usually start off small. They start doing things that they are good at. I had a class mate who stared off his business by selling his piano class, basketball coaching, event promotions as part of his corporation. I have another friend who has an 'enterprise' (and little do people know that he is the 'Enterprise', but he had divisions of his corporation and does every little thing that he can such as couriering packages to offices and small businesses, selling fruits and doing maintance work. So never be discouraged and start small from what you know, inshallah. DON'T BE AFRAID TO FAIL!!!

  15. Yves Saint Laurent "Jazz and XTASY (can't remeber the exact name) Estee Lauder "Pleasure" Dolce & Gabbana Perfumes/Colognes are permissible to wear the rasul (salallahu caliyhe wasalim) said that he loves three things "Salat, Women and Perfumes"
  16. "Gone are the days of respecting the elderly. Gone are the days to return to wise and old people in order to resolve disputed matters among the member of the society. Gone are the days to respect and love parents. Gone are the days to shay away from bad things. Gone are the days to respect people for what they are good at? Gone are the days of loyalty and obedience. Gone are Waxaa teeraxdha wa Haqq Its the payoff that we have to pay for migrating to nonmuslim lands for the sake of a 'better life' and not for Allah and his rasul (sallahu caliyhe was salam). This is the trade off for persuing 'FREEDOM' which basically means to do whatever you would like to do for your own personal self gratification. When people believe in this, then a house will surely crumble because no one wants to maintain it, but rather try to live in their sepereate bedrooms. What happens when you worry about your own bedroom and not help to clean the rest of the house? Well then your own bedroom becomes messy and the house becomes messy too. This leads to things detriorating in the house and over years, affecting the its structure. Also, conflicts with other house memebers escalates. Why? Because everybody is to busy persuing their own 'Freedoms'. This is definitely SHIRK because this means that people are putting themselves and own self gratification above the Word of Allah. This is why things are the way they are today!!!
  17. Who in here grew up in the West and has grown in a single family home??? I grew up here in the Western Hemisphere and was raised by a single parent. I had read in the papers a few weeks ago that most of the somali homes in my city are mostly single mother families. Where are all the men? Do you think that these modern day western societies are to blame for breaks up within somali families?
  18. Salams, "He wanted to marry her But her family didn't like an idea of a none somali guy that was married with three kids, as a muslim his allowed to marry Four Wives " If a sisters family disapproves, you shouldn't push it and try to marry the sister without her parents consent. You can't put yourself ahead of parents!!! I think that its Highly disliked if not Haram in some schools of fiqh to marry without parental consent. This is very important! WHERE DOES love COME IN WHEN IT COMES TO MARRIAGE ? (In terms of the hierarchy of importance!) This is a rhetorical question because I know an answer to the question. You can't build anything on sentiment. In fact, it is sentiment and emotion that has destroyed families and gotten some somali sisters pregnant out of wedlock. This dude seems to be looking for more trouble and his intentions and the sisters intentions should be questioned.
  19. Salams, First its Fadalallah not nasrullah! For any sister, the biggest contribution you can make is towards raising a family. 'A Women's Castle is her Home' This is not to say that we don't need female teachers and doctors! With respect to investment advise, the best investment inshallah begins with self discipline. Scrooge Up and save as much as you can inshallah. Reduce your DEBTS!!! Buy a House and build Equity. Don't just make min'm mortgage payments on your house either. With patience and time inshallah, you will see a significant difference. BUT WITH PATIENCE AND TIME, INSHALLAH. 'A tree doesn't sprout up in one night'
