  1. It's ironic how Radio Muqdisho are the most aggressive when protecting their photos in the news media considering they are a government-owned and operated broadcaster. Nothing wrong with claiming ownership by placing your logo on the photos but this is just over the top. I don't see this type of aggression from the other Somali media who are in private business. OP, post the link please. Radio Muqdisho are xoolo who know copyright more than journalism
  2. There is no Bantu expansion in Muqdisho as in permanent resettlement. The only reason why you see a rise in Bantus in Muqdisho is because they are IDP's. They are coming for services and shelter from the past famine and the Shabab and the violence. Once the violence ends, they will all go back to their areas. They don't want to start a new life in Muqdisho. They want to go back to their homes. Besides, Bantus are 1000x better than Oromos. Bantus work hard and contribute to society. They have a 0% unemployment rate among khat addicted skinnies. They do stuff regardless of the situation. Oromos don't. Oromos are lazy and unemployed here in Canada where there are opportunities. Forget about Africa. I don't mind if Oromos live in Somalia but they must be fully integrated in Somalia. They must claim Somali clans. They must learn Somali and must only speak in Somali. They must act and be a Somali. They must act as if the Oromo is an enemy. If not, Oromo expansion should be fought tooth and nail.
  3. Somalia's population is expected to be 40-50 million in 2050. There are about the same number of Somalis right now in Ethiopia/Kenya/Ethiopia/Yemen as there are in Somalia today. Somalis in those countries and in Somalia have similar birth rates. We are looking at a total Somali population of around 80 million in 2050. We need it to be over 200 million. All Somalis do your part and breed. BREED. This number is unacceptable in 2050. You need 20 kids each.
  4. The only real Somali nationalists are HAG. HAG doesn't care who is in power. HAG was tolerant of a dictatorship for another clan for over 2 decades. It was HAG who kept Siad Barre in power through their support. HAG will still sing Somaliyeey Tooso if are denied any form political power for 100 years. Some koonfuur may be nationalists only when their clan is leading but not HAG. Have you ever seen HAG betray their nation when their clan was in the worst of times? Never ever. Even the worst of HAG like warlords are still diehard nationalists.
  5. NAIROBI, 22 March 2013 (IRIN) - Every Somali citizen will have access to basic healthcare by 2016 if a new, government-led strategic plan achieves its aims. The launch on 21 March of new Health Sector Strategic Plans (HSSPs) for Somalia’s three zones - south-central Somalia, Puntland and Somaliland - indicates a move away from the emergency-level health provision that has been the norm in the country for over 20 years and towards more mainstream, national health systems. “The strategic planning process leading to this result is a clear indication of the beginning of a new time, a time of good governance and re-building of systems,” Mariam Qasim, Somalia’s Minister for of Human Development and Public Services, said at the launch, adding that the implementation of the plan would be a “litmus test” of the government’s ability to provide services to its population. Somalia has some of the*highest rates of maternal mortality in the world, and thousands of infants and children succumb annually to easily preventable and treatable conditions such as pneumonia, diarrhoea, malnutrition and measles. Starting anew The country’s health system was virtually destroyed by more than 20 years of conflict, during which time there was no legitimate government; during the war, NGOs, the UN and private sector practitioners managed healthcare. “The major change is government ownership of the HSSP,” said Marina Madeo, the coordinator of the Somali health sector. “By 2016, we hope that in every part of the country, health centres will be equipped with drugs, equipment and health workers.” She noted that for now, as the government continued to build its ability to handle healthcare, large parallel health programmes such as immunization would continue to be handled by UN agencies. The government and its partners will also seek public-private partnerships with the country’s vibrant private health sector. The HSSPs are expected to make improvements to health financing, human resources for health, drugs and the country’s health infrastructure, among other things. The four-year strategies are expected to cost US$350 million, 70 to 75 percent of which will be spent on actual health services. Some $50 million has already been raised; key donors include the Australian, Swedish, UK and US governments. Marthe Everard, UN World Health Organization representative for Somalia, stressed that “all national and international investments in the health sector should be guided by these plans, which provide the basis for cooperation, harmonization and alignment of all support to the Somali health sector”. Security Although much of Somalia is now secure, Islamist insurgents still control parts of south-central Somalia. Qasim said she hoped security would continue to improve, and that in the interim “there are always ways” to work in Al-Shabab-controlled areas. “We can’t wait for everything to be in place [to] secure to start working,” said Madeo

Everything I said is true. The constitution, which guarantees citizenship to anyone who lives in Somalia or anyone with a Somali mother or any foreign child "lost in Somalia" given citizenship, was written by foreigners. Somalis have been pushed these things onto them and told to accept it. The average Somali does not agree to this. The MP's were forced to accept these ridiculous stuff by the UN and the international community. The government is currently reviewing the constitution so it is in accordance Somali culture, custom, religion and the wishes of the Somali people.
  7. You guys don't understand. This constitution was not written by local Somalis. It was written by foreigners. It was written by non-Somalis and westernized Somalis from the diaspora. The Somali constitution was not by and for the people of Somalia. The Somali constitution resembles a Western constitution more so than an African one. That is not necessarily a bad thing but it certainly doesn't resemble Somalia. Also, did you know the constitution say that anybody in Somalia under the age of 8 who is in the country "lost" immediately becomes a citizen and under the care of the government? The latter is not the issue but the former is an issue. Lost Oromo children will take over Somalia
  8. The only Somali I respect is Hassan Dahir Aweys. I may not agree with his ideology or his principles but at least you know what you are getting with this old man. He has been saying the same thing since over 30 years.
  9. I heard this guy tried to lobby the Fiqi*shini in Sool about having him represent them in Somaliland. When there is an opportunity, he will run towards it.
  10. This is a fake story. I am ashamed that Boramanews wrote this lies as well. It's a lie. Boramanews was one of my favourite news sites but I will now cross it off my list.

  12. I saw a Somali family in Jamaica Plain when I visited an old friend. Boston is way too expensive to live in. Property prices are just stup!d. (really, the word stup!d is censored?)
  13. Garowe Online? Are you serious? You do know Faroole's son is the owner of that site right? Funded by Puntland? Why don't they upload this document?
  14. I am not sure. One side of me wants him and the other war criminals to face justice and be executed but the other side of me wants to give immunity to all of them considering some clans will pick up arms and even prolong the war to make sure their boy doesn't get touched. Somalis are not like normal people. They are savage Africans who have no appreciation for anything but their clan. We are hardheaded and will even kill the lives of the innocent before admitting to anything that may embarrass them. Somalis are all about pride. This geeljire mentality will not go away anytime soon. There needs to be a national reconciliation process. I am sure all Somalis together can acknowledge that crimes have been committed on all sides and that we acknowledge each others pains. This is the only way we can move forward. You had a war criminal as President of a state and TFG. We have a current war criminal as President of a state right now. We had a former war criminal as President before losing the election to another party in 2010. We have war criminals walking free in Nairobi. We can't really just go after this guy without going after the others. This is not what justice is about.
  15. Mogadishu University is the only one in the top Universities in Africa list. I hope to see all of those post-secondary institutions in the list
  16. I like your vision. Only visionaries succeed, not pessimists. It is visionaries and not pessimists that lead nations out of poverty and bad times Last week, I was having a discussion about this with a Somali brother about this very same thing. He said all these things are possible and will occur but added one surprising but disappointing comment: This generation will not see the finished product. What do you all think about this? Personally, I wouldn't mind this. It's more exciting and fun to witness your country being built in front of your very eyes and being involved in this very important process than actually enjoying the fruits of our labor. Let our kids and grand kids enjoy it
  17. Haye, people of Canada. If you live in gobolka Ontario, here is a video on accessing welfare or help finding a job. Pass it along to your newly arrived relatives.
  18. Your comments are well appreciated Somali Philosopher. Let's trade those Big Macs for Big Sambuusas
  19. "My" restaurant in Inglewood doesn't need you Somalians. Thank you very much. The Blacks and Hispanics are my customers. In all honesty, I am kind of relieved. I thought I would have been labelled a tribalist for promoting a strangers restaurant just because it had the name "Banadir" in it. Being called out for "promoting my business" is no where near as bad that. I picked this restaurant as my first feature due to its strange location
  20. Any who, once a month, I will be featuring a Somali restaurant some where in the world. If you live in the city I post, I urge you to support your local Somali restaurant I wrote this in the beginning of my post The once a month plan is due to not flooding this forum. I am a respectful contributor  Crazy Somalians
  21. lol @ perseverance. By next February, I would have posted 11 other Somali businesses worldwide. Will you claim that all those businesses are mine too? From Atlanta, to Amsterdam to Adelaide to Addis Ababa?
  22. Somalis have got to be the most xasiid people on Earth wallahi. I don't live anywhere near California. How is this my restaurant? I am not even sure there are more than 5 Somali families in Inglewood. I am sure not 1 Somali will end up going to this particular restaurant after looking at this post. I am trying to spread a message here. The message of: supporting Somalis first where ever you are Even if it was my restaurant and I was advertising it, so what lol nothing wrong with advertising.
