  1. The best moments of life, for me at least, are when I pray on time, give sadaqa, help those in need, read the quran and do anything that'll draw me closer to allah.
  2. You sound like you hit the jackpot there. If the disintegration of ONLF, both in capability and finance, is what you are hoping for, then you are merely dreaming because Aliens will be spotted in Mars before that happens.
  3. Clan identity is deeply engrained in the Somali culture. It's a form of an ID to identify folks and for that reason, the clan identity is not going anywhere, at least not anytime soon. However, it'd be very nice if people would first see themselves as Somalis then as clan X and so forth. Sadly, that's not the case and I doubt we're headed there anytime soon. I hold the view that the clan should be sacrificed and be subordinated to nationalism in every way possible. country first, then clan next but that's asking for too much from a society where sometimes tribal loyalty supersedes religious loyalty.
  4. Kismaayo is bigger. I don't think Marka is even on the top 5 biggest cities in Somalia.

  6. It's amalgam of fear and envy that made this fellow speak so low and vile. Let us not reciprocate the idiocy sxb. Haatu;905002 wrote: NFD, Kilinka, iyo Jubbooyinka anagaa leh. aamiin. May allah accept your dua.
  8. This was lolstatic. Thanks for the laugh, guys.
  9. I think you mean the most historical city in the world. I don't think it's the most fascinating city in the world.
  10. I am not the same tribe as the man. Now go ahead and bring forth evidence.
  11. Wadani;903511 wrote: How do u know ur uncle hasn't done what i accuse him of? Ur the reason Somalia is ruined. You didnt even ask me to prove my claims, but decided to side with the man just because ur the same clan. Disgusting. Interesting that you think I share clan lineage with the man just because I said he is not biased. I don't recall disclosing my tribe here so how did you arrive at such a conclusion?
  12. Idajaa is an objective historian. he has neither forged nor propagated history.
  13. Oba no it's ahmed farah ali idaajaa. He's a historian. Haatu you can find the full story on youtube I believe.
  14. Shaikh Madoobe is a reasonable man. As long as both parties agree to communicate and sit on the same tablet to discuss national matters, then some sort of a solution will be reached.
  15. Keep them coming folks. So far I've managed to get my hands on "Darkness at noon" suggested by Raamsade. I also have 100 years of solitude but I have not had the time for it yet. Thanks and keep them coming.
  16. Good riddance. There can't be any Ethio sympathizers in the ONLF. ONLF is battling a truly noble combat and they have proven themselves to be men of virtue, integrity, bravery and principle. Keep in mind that Ethiopia has one of the biggest military in the African Continent, combined with billions in aid from the west. Defeating them won't be a walk in the park. It's rather preposterous to suggest disarming ONLF and switching to diplomacy to achieve its freedom. Freedom is never given but taken. When you throw yourself at the mercy of your enemy's feet, he'll oppress you more than he'd if you fough him. ONLF has done well and will continue to exist until they achieve their mission. God be with them.
  17. Disarming Somalia is not a solution and if anything, it'll give our arch enemies, who also happen to be our neighbors, the upper hand. In an ideal world, such idea would work but when you have got neighbors who don't like you and who constantantly plot your downfall, the worst you can do is disarm yourself. Let's assume that peace will eventually prevail within somalia but who guarantees you peace from Ethiopia? I think establishing a very strong national army is the way to go. Somalia needs to have the military capacity to protect and safeguard itself and its boarders. 18. True that. It was just humor, I hope it came across as a harmless one. Aaliyyah;901207 wrote: ^ Haha good one. But, that is not the case. Islam teaches us to assume the best about people.
  19. IGAD is just a cover name for enemies of somalia. Can you blame them for putting immense and intense efforts to destabilize somalia? Somalia is already destabilized so I suppose they can't be blamed for wanting to maintain the status quo. When the people of Somalia can't come to terms with each other, can't trust each other and above all, do not want to share power and land, how can we blame anyone who takes advantage of their plight? Somalia's problems are internal and thus all solutions should come from within.

Re-writing assignments require twice the motivation/patience as the first one and the process can be quite tedious. Energize yourself and get to it again and this time use a desktop computer if possible. I hope you have learnt a valuable lesson here, buy a flashdrive. It saves you lots of trouble down the road.
  21. The title is audacious. Have you applied some of the techniques discussed in the book? I'll check it out. I am thinking of going to the bookstore tomorrow and collect at least a dozen books.
  22. Ninyaaban English walaal. Thank you all. Wre I'll check it out thanks.
  23. First all, greetings to you all. I am new to this place and I haven't browsed the forums yet so my apologies if a similar thread has already been made. With that said, please share your favorite books on here. Your must read books that you'd recommend. Thanks.
  24. Inspring story indeed. The drive to success is intrinsic and as much as others may influence and shape it, at the end of the day, it lies with the person.
