  1. I don't think cities like Boorama and Burco need airports of their own as they are close to Hargeisa. What they need are good roads linking them to the airport in Hargeisa and a reliable public transport system. However Ceergaabo, Laascaanood, and Saylac definitely need airports.
  2. Despite our political differences and the occasional locking of horns, I do enjoy our Galbeedi's journalistic contributions (although his insider sources are as non-existent as the personalities behind the folklore characters of dhagdheer and cigaal shidaad)
  3. That is what I said. They would not allow him to attend. They considered him treasonous.
  4. Faysal exposed himself as a traitor and basaas so should be investigated by the police. I am glad he was denied entry for the Gacanlibaax conference. His tol saw him as an unreliable calooshiisa ushaqayste
  5. This is what happens when you have too many so called ministers without portfolios just to fill clan quotas. By the way, what is "wasiirul dawli"? Never heard of it before!!!
  6. I think some 50% of Somali territories is already in foreign hands and is being exploited by our rivals as we speak. So to say Somalis are capable of uniting or defending their lands and interests is making a mockery of our tragic past and present.
  7. If I were a Somali in Ethiopia I wouldn't share a cup of water with the Oromo Neanderthals let alone oil wealth. Kililka should declare independence using the constitution ASAP.
  8. It is better than nothing, isn't it? Your question should be: will it remain there for a day?
  9. It is sad that Somalis across the Horn of Africa are destitute yet our lands and sea are teaming with natural wealth and are being exploited by others. Instead of fighting over grazing lands and meagre UN aid donations, if Somalis shared these natural resources with equity every bloody Somali on earth would be quite wealthy and comfortable.
  10. I don't have an insider knowledge about this issue but since ina Biixi's inauguration I sensed the politicians from Sool including professor Khaliif have been pushing for the take over of the remaining territories from Puntland. I think they want to deprive the Sool politicians in Garowe of any legitimacy.
  11. I am not surprised. Haddii wax xaal la siinayo dawladnimadaan siin lahaa. Somaliland made a mockery of dawladnimo. I have never seen a more corrupt place in my life.
  12. I would not be so confident if I was you. Never underestimate your opponent. Anyway, it is always better to solve this crisis with dialogue and by other peaceful means.
  13. This is apparently part of parliamentary democracy in most parts of the world.
  14. Is DDSI not responsible for Mooyaale? The Liyu police should be deployed in Mooyaale and in every other border town and openly fight the Oromo militias whenever they transgress. These barbarians only understand brute force.
  15. Waar Alle ka cabsada oo nagadaaya baladan aad ka hadlaysaan hadh iyo habeen. Kii dagaal jeceli Tukaraq ha aado oo askartaa dagaalamaysa ha la safto. Laakiin meeshan buuq iyo faataadhug yaan naloola iman.
  16. There are no economic problems in Somaliland as far as I know but there is a dangerous political and security crisis brewing which can threaten the very foundations of the country. On top of that the majority of the public lost faith not only in their government but in the whole political system of the country due to rampant corruption, nepotism, open tribalism, and the lack of anything resembling a government. Indeed the longer Somaliland's political system remains broken and unfit for purpose and society remains divided, the more koonfuria becomes attractive to the average man and woman. I think we should to be honest about all the issues facing us. There is no need to cover up our failings.
  17. Che we all know well what a tribal war looks like. There is no conflict between the clans of Somaliland and those of Puntland. People are still travelling both ways, doing business together, choosing to live wherever they want, marrying from each other, etc and nobody can stop them. What is happening in Tukaraq is a conflict based on politics and ideology and professor Samatar has chosen his political ideology and wants to show that.
  18. Barwaaqooy waxaan maqlay hargaysa lafteeda ayaa lagu mirqaansanyahay oo kuwii talada hayay dhalo iska dhex arkeen
  19. The entire clan politics of the Somali world is unsustainable. Climate change, degrading environment, population growth, scarce resources, violent history, past injustices, mistrust and animosity among different clans and sub-clans, lack of quality political class, interfering neighbours, meddling foreign powers, and numerous other internal and external pressures will make sure that any type of clan based government and politics ends up in utter failure. So I suggest that you don't make yourself too comfortable with the current clan based federal system as well. The only way any Somali territory can find lasting stability is through proper rules based, equal opportunity, Islam based democratic system. More like the Western style democracies and not the clan federation we have in place now.
  20. I think Fidel Castro's communist manifesto is a more suitable book for you. Please leave our warlords alone
