  1. Wallee Somalidu have an inherent belief of being superior or of more importance than others. Kenya won't collapse if Somalis move back. Kenya relies on tea, coffee and tourism as its primary source of income. Somalis and their businesses form an insignificant fraction of Kenya's economy. The immediate impact would hugely befell on the subordinate staff they employ. And the exodus is most probably less to do with the relative peace in Somalia, but much to the upcoming elections in Kenya. People tend to move to safe areas in such times. They would most likely head back after the much-awaited March elections. Nuune, you are exaggerating it sxb. Your claims of mass closure of businesses hold little water.

Tell us how the Saudi king is worse the Gaddafi ? and who are those sugar coating him? So they didn't invade Libya. Waa war cusub, but in the same breath you admit Libya being bombed. What war machine? The hospitals that fell casualty? You've believed too much into their pseudo fabrications. How come the same Benghazi, 'freed by NATO from the claws of Gaddafi' (as you put it), killed the US ambassador? For Saudi's case, what do you know of their political system? 'Democratic', isn't it?
  4. xabad;903846 wrote: I don't support Aid from donors as i believe it distorts the market and incentives for farmers. And what has Gaddafi being less evil go to with issue ? Couldn't grasp the analogy eh. Isn't that what they (read West) sell you to invade relatively prosperous countries? That so and so is evil while fortifying worse devils. That should've been clear to even the most gullible. The king of Saudi of whom they sugar-coat for you is worse than any surviving despot. Libyans have now voted in free democratic elections to choose their leaders instead of being ruled by a dictator So you say. comparing Cuba and united states is really ****** idea, one is creaking socialist shithole and another is richest nation earth. Heck even Somalia probably has some things it does it better than USA. that does not mean somalia > usa, come on There goes your guilelessness again.
  5. Not sure where I stand on the Syrian conflict, but couldn't overlook the naivety of the bullet-neophyte called Xabad. He's probably of the view that aid contributes to reduction of poverty in 3rd world countries. And have no clue about the impact of Eu's farmers' subsidies on the 3rd world market as well. That how it starts for all johnny-come-lately species. Hope you catch up soon. Didn't you know that Gaddafi was less evil (and killed fewer) than the king of Saudi Arabia? And Fidel Castro's Cuba fares better in health and education than many 'democratic' European countries. That Cuba has a higher life expectancy and lower child mortality than United States?

Haatu, I am not privy to any other info regarding to the master plan besides what Koriyow mentioned in his interview in 2011. It seems though Koriyow wants to take Gsa to another height. I hope land issues are addressed properly with lasting solutions though.Specially regarding minorities. Teda kale are you sure there's free land being given out? I need to holla at my peeps down there asap if that's the case. PS. How can you forget; Bula sheikh Bula Khalifa Bula Punda Bula Madina Taqwa/Guledi Iskadag Maalim Aden Garissa Ndogo Chief Camp The famous Ngamia Road Town And other neighborhood that were established lately include; South C Bula county...... And several more, can't remember their names now. The town has developed, I tell ya. Went there in 2009 after being away for 9 years and could barely recognize some of the areas we used to hang around during our heydays.

Reading the subsequent comments gives me the impression of Somalis awestricken by a Somali killing another. The glaring paradox. Who's defined as an 'animal' here by the way? The man that's been killing and raping his kin the last twenty years or the one that gave refuge to his kin? A Somali killing a Somali is NOT new. Isn't that their 'expertise'.

And nothing new with Somalis killing Somalis. Sad, indeed. Hope the guy recovers. And what are the Somalis doing about this gang?
  10. Some pics here like Uruba Hotel would parallel some modern hotels in many African countries. Stunning. How do those who destroyed all that feel now? Xoolo wallahi.

  12. The polls indicate that Abtigiis is going to win by a small margin despite tendering his resignation. Now that will ravel Obama's history!
  13. Mog's architecture looks more like Old Mombasa.
  14. I voted for Abtigiis based on his resolve to quit. Gentlemanly, indeed.

  17. Xaaji Xunjuf;893928 wrote: Somaliland and Somalia signed an act of union after both states gained independence. I am aware of that bit of history of British Somaliland and Italian Somaliland's unity. As for the Somali people in Kenya the Somalis are doing fine in Kenya they own businesses and are all well educated and they significant hold political seats in Kenya Somalis just need to increase their population by increasing the birth rate. They populate a whole province exclusively and inhabit an entire district eastleigh in the capital city Nairobi. The Somalis are not really oppressed in Kenya the incident in Gaarisa was one incident and the Somali legislators spoke up bravely about that. Somalis should not act as victims in Kenya they should be ambitious to get more seats in the Kenyan government ans fight for more autonomy in NFD Good analysis.
  18. Apophis;893930 wrote: @tutu: it's as I've said before. They don't care about Somalis in Kenya; they just want to attack Kenya and use the Somaliweyne pretext as a conduit to channel that attack. Maybe many still have bad memories of "leta kipanda" while crossing Garissa bridge I know they don't give a rat about NFD as they don't their own country. Though not plausible, but for some strange reason, I thought of reasoning with them. Maybe it's the 'Kipande' pain, and but what could we do..this is Kenya. And for Haatu, I can understand his cognitive dissonance. We('Sijuis') call it the 'Qurbo effect'. As a Sijui, living with 'Najuas' for long renders you so;) Haatu dhib malahan brada, adiga ayaa na xoreyndontaa.

Haatu;893917 wrote: Che, it's as if tutu suffers from short-term memory loss. tutu, well the rest of the country doesn't consider you kenyan in truth. weren't you reading the comments people were posting recently? As I said, no matter how much time passes, you are only viewed as an irredentist, even if the shifta wars are long over. Are you not reading what I am posting? Bal read between the lines and ponder the counter-questions I've raised in my earlier posts like these; On the other hand, did the mass killing of Mungiki qualify Kikuyus to second class citizens of Kenya? Better yet, what about the massacre of Sheikhs in Mogadishu during Siad Barre's regime? Or the bombing of North Somalia in the 80s? Did that render them second class citizens of Somalia? Random killings happen everywhere. We're in Africa after all, where brothers kill each other (read; Somalia)
  21. Another good example of the irrationality being portrayed by Somalis is the Somaliland issue. Though an ardent anti-secessionist, I do acknowledge the efforts of North Somalia to maintain peace and progress all these years the rest of Somalia was in hell. But no one does. And they do have good arguments, honestly. So would it rattle your mind when they ask to go their way as they see no end to the Somalia circus? And the rest of Somalia becoming irritated with their idea of secession-ism while their own cottage is engulfed by fire with no efforts of extinguishing it. But they want everyone into the fray. No shred of rational thinking, isn't it? See the root cause, now? I am least surprised Somaliland is asking for independence. Dadaal ha lagu arkee! Then you can ask someone else to join you in your endeavor. Laakin kaaley baharka ila qeybso suurta gal ma'ahan.
  22. @Haatu...irredentism? By who? I am not aware of Somalia campaigning for the acquisition of NFD region. And of course I will always remain Somali. Its my natural genotype for God's sake. Why would I wanna be something I am not. On the other hand, did the mass killing of Mungiki qualify Kikuyus to second class citizens of Kenya? Better yet, what about the massacre of Sheikhs in Mogadishu during Siad Barre's regime? Or the bombing of North Somalia in the 80s? Did that render them second class citizens of Somalia? Random killings happen everywhere. We're in Africa after all, where brothers kill each other (read; Somalia). NFD joining Somalia is just plainly improbable, ya akhi. Even if Somalia becomes the most prosperous in the region. It's just far-fetched at this age of globalization, where the world have become a village. You don't have to be in Somalia to feel Somali. I don't even think any sane Somali authority (or common Somalis in Kenya and Somalia) would contemplate on that. But would appreciate their brotherliness while independent of each other. But as things stand, NFD people are more Somali than those that hail from the motherland. Don't buy their theatrics and negativity. Niyada yeysan kaa dilin telling you war dhiig malihid, nin Somali baad tahay! This is how they try to win the hearts of Somalis of other nationals. Laakin Somalinimadii iyagu intey kamartey? War waa munaafiqiin. Wadankii intey soo burburiyeen ayey nin nabad ku dagan eed dusha ka saarayaan. And if you waiting them to settle soon, then brace for long starving years. There's no hope in this particular human species. Let's await a new crop of these species, then maybe we'll be proud one day of our motherland. But will long long years.

And here they are today, accusing others of betrayal. Worse than that happened to fellow Somalis within the borders of Somalia committed by their own brothers. If I go by your thinking then these Somalis should disown Somalia. Many have fought their freedom and now prosperous. Shit happens everywhere, but life goes on I will switch back to english now cause I know not many ppl can write Somali in NFD On the contrary, a large number of Kenyan Somalis read and write flawless Somali nowadays. And have a better and objective understanding of Somali politics. They just don't like stooping low to their hate-filled tribal 'debates'. no matter how much time passes or how high a position our puppet leaders get, to them you'll still be a Somali, an outsider, an irredentist, an expansionist, a threat. Never forget what you are sxb This is a whole story for another day. Che, just make sure your blood thirsty maryooleys get the house in order to make my task a little easier. I'm sure you're aware of what I'm up against now Don't worry, Haatuyow. I am more Somali than them. Believe me on that! These are soulless people who've burned and raped Somalia of its dignity and value, but dishonestly wave the blue flag in the halls of Southall. Probably the reason they made you guilty, but remember they're the same people who've ruined the dream you're yearning for (and boy, that dream's comeback is decades away). Soulless. Deceitful. Dishonest. Fake, I tell you.
