Somaliland does have a proud persona, this has been contributed to by the do-gooders of the 'country' over recent years. the good work done tends to gloss over the need for a more focused. This pattern is repeated across the whole of Africa and Asia yes, but it does not mean to ignore it. There are other issues to consider, like why are most of the NGOs set up in and for Hargaisa only? Are the NGOs achieving what they set out to do? Is the NGO style productive? Ahh salatul jumca, to be continued,,,,,,,,

  7. I second that mate, what a sh*t performance by big names like Beck/Cole and Lampard, the spaniards were very confident. but like i always say with England, when it comes to big 'competitive' games they hardly disappoint. those monkey chants didnt help either, plus Madrid wants the 2012 Olypics

  9. Thanks for clearing that up  There are many differences between north and south when it comes to food, but one thing that is unanimous is how we love 'our' Somali food. I cant go 1 day without eating bariis or basto or kibis or sugaar etc etc. Daydreams, mouth waters, stomach rumbles

  11. There is tournament in Monaco next summer for small countries, teams like Vietnam, Cambodia will be participating together with,,,,,,Somaliland . the Somaliland players will be from UK and Sweden and guess who has been ordered to get fit in time,,,,,, but i have other plans next summer so we shall see. There is a freindly game in Feb against the a Monaco Youth team, this will take place in London or Birmingham.
  12. True Somalis do tend to suffer from un-originality and target only their own. But there some pioneers out there who shy away from setting up business in predominently somali area. For example An internet cafe is very profitable if set up in the right area in London. A cosmopolitan area where both young professionals and recently migrated ppl live side by side in rented, private and council housing. There is one Internet cafe in East London that is making a killing because its in a very good location with cheap rent. After your weekly/monthly calculation you do not declare the whole of your profit but only some (for tax purposes) hence where the 'killing' comes into play. Therefore, it may be un-imaginative or 'boring' but the colour of money is always the same if you own an internet cafe or a five star hotel.

  21. So please dont quote the Geneva Convention to me just look at Gunatanimo Bay and you'll see no one believes in this accord Saxib what we all need to realise is that the laws of this world were not by us. ie international law/geneva convention/human rights etc etc. So its not a huge surprise when the same ppl that formulated these laws chop and change it as they wish. Gwantanemo Bay is in an areas apparently not covered by international law, which begs the question why call it international? But what are we as muslims doing to change this? Why are we no lobbying the US government to give those Gwantanemo prisoners there bisic human rights? Why are our ppl in positions of power who represent us not doing much in the way of pressing for change? We need to start looking within before we can say oh those laws are not representing us muslims. I for one would love to see those so called Kings/Presidents who are representing us  the prisoners in the photos do look healthy Plenty of caano geal mate So, if you recognise any of them, phone their mummy and tell her the good news. These guys are 'known'.
  22. This is not a laughing issue I cant help it saxib, wherever there is possible joke, i'm there What we should all be doing is make the treatment of prisoners a prioty We all know how POWS should be treated under Islamic laws and the Geneva convention. Congratulations to those who follow this same way,,,,,,,,,, cheap joke Was it really that cheap? I thought it was quite funny tries not to laugh at his own jokes
