She did nothing wrong in my book. Maybe she could have worn gloves as CG stated but then she would have got it (bad press) for not removing it to shake the hand of the commissioner! A no win situation. She did what she thought (note - what 'she' thought) was right by informing her emploers before hand. What we all think doesnt really matter. But it does raise the issue of compromise in the work place. How many of us compromise in order not to offend or not to look out of place? Or are we all as steadfast as we try to portray? Give the sister a break, at least she is trying!

No saxib, i cant see the last one you posted for some reason. the link to your pics is blocked by the following msg: We apologize the site you are attempting to visit has been blocked due to its content being inconsistent with the religious, cultural, political and moral values of the United Arab Emirates. What have you got on there man? tut tut tut

I think many people just dont know what marriage entails. As husband and wife you must 'know' your rights and responsibilities and act on them. Not knowing this is the main source of conflict me thinks.

I'm rooting for the guuuners. A win will make things very interesting indeed with Man Utd and Arsenal to come to Anfield. Man Utd to go to Chelsea and Chelsea still to go to the Emirates. A few results and it can all change.

Taako Man Sorry sxb you are once again mistaken. The Gov't thru parliament have more rights and to sanction or censor media which is harming public security. Wouldn't you agree that bias media in an already tense environment such as Xamar could incite deadly war? Does it matter what i think? The recent media ban was not passed through parliament. This contradicted the charter. The TFG made a mistake and backtracked. Simple! If you dont get it you never will. Fiqi, It's really astonishing and a great shame to see ordinary everyday people thinking they have any knowledge regarding the procedures of Parliament or forms of government when they have been proven to be charlatans, who cannot express themselves fully nor have the courage or bravery to ever come up with original thoughts of their own, in which they can hold or argue more than one viewpoint coherently like I do on a daily basis in here, but they cannot themselves pass the stage of throwing irrelevant one-liners here and there and then escape into hiding! It's really a shame and beggers belief! This section deserves more and certainly me deserves more because frankly speaking a person that only knows to throw in onliners and after that go into hiding cannot be on par with me nor reach the heights or levels I have reached and continue to express vividly in SOL's political forum! What a rant ya Fiqi We dont all have the time to sit in front of the computer all day (do you work?) like you ya fiqi hence the one liners and disappearing acts in which they can hold or argue more than one viewpoint coherently like I do on a daily basis in here, That has to be the statement of the year already! I will address your emergency laws tomorrow when i will have some time to kill. ps at least you are writing accordingly now ey?

Red Sea, why do you bother saxib?

OK, I just said he looks like someone I would run from if I were to end up in the same airplane as him, simple. I suppose you dont understand what constitutes an insult. Your basically saying a man who wears a beard looks like a terrorist. In my view this is an Insult to Islam and Muslims. Lets have a vote right here on SOL if you want. PS:Whenever naagaha somali who make the news, Ayan hirsi etc are being called names, and mind you they are fellow muslims, why haven't you quoted this so called golden rule on those that continued to insult her and the rest of the women that had been discussed in this forum? What is this supposed to be your 'but they did this' argument? As far as i can remember people insulted Ayan Hirsi's character (which i personally have no problem with by the way) and not anything of Islam or Muslims. There is a difference in insulting a man with a beard and calling him a terrorist because he wears a beard and insulting a muslim for having anti-Islamic views believe you me. You think just because I made the comment and the fact that he is a man you admire who happens to play a sport you enjoy all of a sudden constitutes as an insult to Islam? Admiration and sport aside, the man wears a beard and all you could say was "he looks like a terrorist". Let me ask you a question. Would you call everyone who wears/wore a beard (including important figures in Islam) terrorist looking? The angry teenager syndrome seems to have stuck to you madame! TP, sorry saxib, had to be done.

The Transitional Federal Government shall guarantee the freedom of press and independent media in accordance with Law. 2. Every person shall have the rights to freely express his/her own opinion in any manner, subject to any limitation which, may be prescribed by law for the purpose of safeguarding morals and public security. Well duh No actually, well duh Please highlight the law that was passed (through parliament as per the Charter) in the TFG's ban on certain (non-favourable) media outlets last week. With the TFg realising this and backtracking and you still adamnt it was within its right i think its a case double duh! me thinks Ya Fiqi, to make things very simple for you please read very very carefully. You were right in that it is actually a state of emergency and not martial law. I concede on this point and i was mistaken. Now, with a state of emergency, is the constitution (in this case the Charter - interim constitution) not suspended? Thus making the actions of the TFG illegal? I look forward to your reply
