I recently checked my heart rate when resting just out of curiosity. The last time I checked, it was 46 beats per minute during my school years. I placed my index and middle fingers to the under side of my wrist and counted the number of beats for a full minute. Not to my surprise my heart rate has increased by a huge one additional beat! So in the space of x years my heart rate has only gone up by one. I’m quite chuffed  I did a little research,,,,,,,,,, Heart rate variability (HRV) is the variation of beat-to-beat intervals. A healthy heart has a large HRV, while decreased or absent variability may indicate cardiac disease. HRV also decreases with exercise-induced tachycardia. HRV has been the focus of increased research to use it as a physiological marker to classify different pathological disorders. One aspect of heart rate variability can be used as a measurement of fitness, specifically the speed at which one's heart rate drops upon termination of vigorous exercise. The speed at which a person's heart rate returns to resting is considerably faster for a fit person than an unfit person. A drop of 20 beats in a minute is typical for a healthy person. A drop of less than 12 beats per minute after maximal exercise has been correlated with a significant increase in mortality [1]. Coupled with a high metabolism rate i stay naturally fit alxamdullilah  How do our nomadic people measure up? Do we have similar heart rates for men and women? Are we naturally a fit and able people? Lets have a go at some hear rate stats - SOL style. ps be honest

Khalaf, All that talk of how islam should be followed yet you support a govnt (yes its become obvious you do) that invited a gaal to Muslim lands for the sake of 'lets wait and see'.

Size matters to Hussain THE world’s tallest man met one of Britain’s tallest women yesterday — and they agreed that size DOES matter. After reading in The Sun yesterday about 7ft 9ins Hussain Bisad, 6ft 8ins Sarah Fowler was just longing to see him. So we arranged a summit conference between her and 33st Hussain — and it soon looked like love was in the air. Romantic Hussain, 27, said “High there” with a bunch of flowers. It made a big impression on Sarah, 32, who said: “I just love taller men and Hussain certainly fits the bill. “He looked big in the paper but in the flesh he’s huge.” The unwed London Tube driver went on: “Hussain is a big softie. One of the first questions he asked me was, ‘Are you married?’ “He’s a bit of a charmer if you ask me. I can see he’s got that naughty look in his eye. “I think he stands head and shoulders above other men. “Too bad I’ve missed Valentine’s Day.” Sarah, from Hounslow, West London, has been a member of the UK Tall Persons Club for ten years. And it is clear that Somali-born asylum-seeker Hussain has Britain’s tall girls highly interested. Tall club director Mary Noakes said: “I have had dozens of calls and enquiries from members asking about Hussain. “His arrival in Britain has caused quite a stir. “Most of our women members prefer taller men and they don’t come as tall as Hussain very often. “I have several who are waiting to give him an outsized welcome.” And Sarah said: “The fact he gave me flowers and that I was the first to meet him will make lots of girls in the tall club jealous.” If romance blossomed between Hussain and Sarah they would become Britain’s tallest couple. But blushing Sarah joked: “It’s a bit too early to call Guinness, we’ve only just met.” Hussain eats four huge meals and drinks three gallons of water a day and sleeps in a 9ft bed — and he is still growing at nearly an inch a year. He arrived in Britain five months ago after fleeing war-torn Somalia. Now he is to be measured by officials from the Guinness Book of Records and looks certain to grab the world height record from 7ft 8ins Tunisian Radhouane Charbib. Yesterday Hussain also came face-to-face with another rival UK man-mountain. http://www.tallclub.co.uk/articles/Hussain2/Hussain2.htm

US 'not in position to take action' Agencies Tehran: Iran said yesterday that the United States was not in a position to take military action against it after a veiled threat from US Vice-President Dick Cheney and urged Washington and its allies to engage in dialogue. "We do not see America in a position to impose another crisis on its tax payers inside America by starting another war in the region," Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters yesterday. "The current situation has cost them a lot." Mottaki was responding to Cheney who renewed Washington's warning to Iran earlier yesterday that "all options" were on the table if Tehran continues to defy UN demands to halt uranium enrichment. "But the Islamic Republic of Iran has prepared for two scenarios. We prefer the second which is based on dialogue and constructive interaction," Mottaki added at a news conference with visiting Bahrain Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa. The UN's atomic energy agency has confirmed that Tehran is still carrying out sensitive uranium enrichment work in defiance of the UN Security Council. UN meeting Diplomats from the UN Security Council's five permanent members plus Germany will meet in London tomorrow to discuss further measures against Tehran. Mottaki called on the parties meeting in London to "take a brave decision and resume their negotiations with Iran because it is to the benefit of all people". "As we have said before our activity is transparent and peaceful. A brave and logical decision can become a solution for this matter and could also start international cooperation." source

A muslim doesn't justify the massacre of other muslims by nonmuslims. Its as simple as that really. Some say "oh it wasnt a jihad" without proving it. Some say "The ICU leaders were not good Muslims/people" but forget the TFG members. All are as thick as two short planks of wood!

The 15 Member United Nations Security Council unanimously passed Resolution 1725 (Dec. 6 2006). The U.S led resolution authorizes a regional force from the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and the African Union (AU) to establish a protection and training mission in Somalia. source Considering the Ethios had 8,000 troops already in Somalia at the time of this 'resolution' i want you to prove that their 'invitation' was indeed 'legal' as per the TFG charter.
-
^^Prove it ya Duke.
-
^^The people saxib, the people. You are not in power for anything other than serving the people. The TFG has failed.
-
Hope? Its been nearly two and half years and nothing has been gained/achieved. I will never place hope on a warlord govnt run by Addis. I know you are 'inclined' to accept the TFG but deep down you know its infested with what is against 'unity'. Taliban, i dont think what said can be done. There is no qualification on such issues. April will be 2 and a half years insha allah.

Explain to me how the invite to fight the ICU was done ya Duke.

^^lol Dont think of me as TFG fan matey, i dont like Ethiopian food!

American imams to be trained in the UAE By Samir Salama, Bureau Chief Abu Dhabi: A number of American mosque imams will be trained in Islamic philosophy at the Zayed House for Islamic Culture in Al Ain, an American Muslim intellectual said. "The UAE was selected because it is a unique example of a tolerant multi-cultural society and a cosmopolitan nation that has held on to traditional Islamic values. American imams will feel very comfortable being trained in the UAE," Khalid Abu Bakr Ahmad, President of the National Congress of American Muslim Youth, told Gulf News. He said the American imams will be trained in the UAE because there is no facility to train American imams in the US. "There are no specific qualifications for becoming an imam in the US. The imams' training will focus on moderate Islamic ideology, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) for Muslims in non-Muslim countries, Islamic Family Law [inheritance, divorce, child custody] and principles of Islamic banking and finance." Mansoor Al Minhali, chairman of the Zayed House for Islamic Culture, said he was extremely happy that the house will provide training to the American Imams. "The Zayed House for Islamic Culture, thanks to the continuous support of the UAE leaders, endeavours to promote tolerance and co-existence among Muslims and non-Muslims." The president of the Washington-based cong-ress said the primary objective of the programme is to educate the imams in Islamic ideology. "The imams will be equipped with knowledge to spread Islam's universal message of peace and tolerance to their respective communities. They will also be equipped with tools needed to engage in meaningful inter-faith dialogue," he said. Khalid believes all Muslims have a role to play to defend Islam against an anti-Muslim bias. "Every Muslim has a divine obligation to be an 'ambassador' of the Prophet (PBUH)." source

lol at Ethios being 'invited'. Please clarify this ya Khalaf and while doing so, explain to the people 'how' a govnt 'invites' a foreign force ie what processes/methods should be followed and if these methods were infact followed. You talk of the ICU's shortcomings but conveniently forget ministers in the TFG are warlords (comitted acts of terrorism against the same people they 'govnrn' today). I wonder why this forgetfulness ya Khalaf?

As per the Interim Constitution, if no/not enough progress has been made within 2 and a half years on the establishment of the federal states, a vote of confidence on the TFG should take place. We are nearly at that time. Question is how will the house vote?

Michael Jackson 'to convert to Islam' By Matthew Moore and PA Last Updated: 2:00am GMT 23/02/2007 Michael Jackson could soon convert to Islam, according to his brother Jermaine. The fallen pop star, who was acquitted of child abuse charges two years ago, has been reading Islamic books and developed an interest in the faith, his brother claims. Jermaine, 52, became a Muslim in 1989 and said he thought it "most probable" that Michael, 48, would follow him. "When I came back from Mecca I got him a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it's peaceful and beautiful," he told The Muslim News, a monthly British Muslim newspaper. "He read everything and he was proud of me that I found something that would give me inner strength and peace. "I think it is most probable that Michael will convert to Islam." He added: "He could do so much, just like I am trying to do. Michael and I and the word of God, we could do so much." Michael has withdrawn from the public eye since a California jury cleared him of 10 counts of child abuse against 13-year-old Gavin Arvizo two years ago, after a lurid 16-week trial. He is believed to be staying in Bahrain as a guest of the royal family. Jermaine, who came second in this year's controversial series of Celebrity Big Brother, shared the vocals with his more famous brother when they were in The Jackson 5. source
