If you are in the U.S check out Bally Fitness center last time I joined it was $19.99 if you signed one year contract. I don't pay any for my Gym as I have one through work and another in my apartment complex both free. For aerobic exercise I love the elliptical machine and the stair climber. also the classes are always a lot of fun...it doesn't feel like work out most of the time as time goes by fast. For weight loss don't forget to lift weights (alternate upper body work out and lower body) at least 3 x a week. The more muscles you have the more fat you will lose. Good luck.

Bush. If you're like me, you are in a celebratory mood, because after eight years of hearing our elected leader speak about the strength of the Union, I'm ready for something different (even if it's just someone who looks different). Here are some highlights from the State of the Union Address: * Barack Obama reportedly ignores President Bush as he shakes hands with nearby Senators on his way to the podium. Perhaps Senator Obama is worried about getting his hands dirty. * Senator Ted Kennedy, after endorsing Barack Obama for the Presidency, appears very steady on his feet (of course, Barack is standing next to him, perhaps holding him up). * Nancy Pelosi talks about what an honor it is to present the President. Of course, it's just tradition, but I wonder how she could keep a straight face. * Cheney, glaring over Bush's shoulder, looks like he can't decide whether he's evil or constipated. * Bush says that the government is here to carry out the peoples' will. He doesn't keep a straight face. * “Yet we have unfinished business before us, and the American people expect us to get it done.” Actually, we'd rather you not have started the “project” in the first place. * Even Cheney looks surprised when Bush makes the understatement of the year, insisting the economy is undergoing a period of “uncertainty” instead of “a possibly crazy-*** recession.” * The Democrats don't seem impressed with Bush's joke about the IRS accepting checks and money orders. They also decide not to stretch their legs and join in the standing ovation when he says he thinks current tax relief policies should be made permanent. * On education: “...we must trust students to learn, if given the chance...” Let's get something straight: all kids “learn given the chance.” It's just that while some learn how to perform differential equations and speak Latin, others learn how to roll joints and make fake IDs. We can't trust students to learn, we have to provide them direction in their natural inclination to learn. * President Bush tries not to snicker when saying “Duty free.” * CNN chooses to air shots of sleeping senators—at least twice. * Hopefully, this is one of the last times we hear “nucular.” * Because hippies from the 60's are finally making money, members of the House and Senate all give a standing ovation when Bush talks about greenhouse gases (momentarily). * When highlighting recent scientific achievements that may put divisive issues concerning medical technology behind us, Bush says, “...we must also ensure that all life treated with the dignity it deserves.” What about all that brush you cut down in Crawford, Georgie? WHAT ABOUT THE BRUSH?!? * By the way, we're increasing troops to Afghanistan, but hey! At least it's not as much as the surge was last year. * And about that surge... “Al Qaeda is on the run in Iraq, and this enemy will be defeated.” * The President makes a pledge to the troops: “...in the fight ahead, you will have all you need to protect our nation.” Why didn't he give this pledge earlier? Oh, that's right—funding the way is up to Congress. His pledge doesn't mean a thing. * Iraq—well, I don't really hear anything different. The fact that he says we're “seeing some encouraging signs” isn't too...um...encouraging. Wasn't this supposed to be over years ago—an in and out type deal? * Hopefully this is one of the last times we'll hear “My fellow Amurcans.” * Regarding Iran, “Come clean about your 'nucular' intentions...” I guess I was wrong about “nucular.” * “We will protect our vital interests in the Persian Gulf.” And that would be oil, correct? * Nancy Pelosi is reading something... maybe a transcript of the speech? I've always thought a transcript would be nice while listening to Bush [try to] speak. * “...we've increased funding for veterans by more than 95 percent.” Well, there are quite a few more veterans after our years in Iraq and Afghanistan than there were when you took office—I HOPE spending has increased! * But finally, something I really believe in—more benefits for military families. Well, maybe there's something I can agree with him on besides the fact that Texas is pretty freakin' awesome. I've got to be honest, after seeing Bush speak over the years, he did a great job holding things together during this speech. You could tell that he was quite pleased with himself as well, as he could barely contain his trademark smirk during the final minutes. And perhaps, in the end, those of us who despise his policies will have to accept the fact that Bush may well be quite happy with himself and what he did. He may even think that everything he did was right. And what can we do about that? Continue to make our voices heard, no matter how futile it may seem sometimes. We must capitalize on our differences—not tear each other down—and the best way to do that is through responsible utility of the democratic process. Perhaps if we could embrace our differences, we could concentrate more on our shared strengths. Speaking of which, Obama and Bush just shook hands. God bless America.
