If Qatar want to be serious about Somalia, they could do more. They are buying billions worth of war plaines and other weapons from France, UK and US.

THey can finance the training of 60,000 Somali soldiers and we could sent halve (30,000) of that to Qatar.

If UAE keeps making problems for  us , Qataris and others, why not takeout  this conspiracy hot bed  city called Dubai and do something. Turkey, Djibouti Somalia, Qatar , Iran and others must sit down and find ways to attack the terrorism and conspiracy capital of the middle east  called Dubai. THey have to  find ways to bring down Dubai.

Since this tiny island is threat to the Arab and MUslim world, something serious must be done to stop before they destroy more countries. It is important for the nations of the horn of Africa  and middle east to come together and debate about this threat.

Here are few economic and political moves to destroy Dubai.

---Ban their airlines from landing in all the opposing nations.

--- Ban their commercial airlines flying the air space of the nations that oppose Dubai including Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan, Turkey and the persian gulf.

---Move all banking and other financial businesses from Dubai.

---expel Dubai citizens and deny their ships from docking ports in our control and others.

---Call a conference among Islamic nations and declare UAE a threat to MUslim nations.

If all these measures does not teach them any lessons, then we must all get together and invade and destroy this evil town called Dubai.

These are the same Qataris who send 10/14 victims to rundown health facilities in Sudan. They are giving the same red carpet treatment just like Saudis did. This means nothing unless there are tangible agreements. Mutual self-interest should be the goal.

But in my view very dangerous one.

The president should not have gone, instead foreign minister should have gone or if higher level was requested by Qatar then prime minister.

This is very significant for many reasons:

1. If Erdogan can come to Mogadishu any one can and should very important in normalizing the city

2. When two of your friends are fighting about things beyond your control appearance of inbalance is bad. At least outwardly treat both equally. If PM went to one should be PM to the other one

3. It shows this is government and not collection of desparate individuals who do not trust each other. It would not be unfair for PM or speaker to be suspicious of president and would not be unfair for speaker or president to be suspicious of PM in his trip. Foreign minister should always be there and also foreign minister alone should be first try.

4. There is no mechanism now to share detailed information, because the president and prime minister are talking to world leaders in what looks like individual. The visits to Djibouti by Farmaajo and Bixi were full of rumours.

OO president is going there with 6 ministers to sign big investment deals with Qatar.

Thanks.

These Gulf states  conduct themselves by pressuring everybody to take sides 1st openly and if that fails by visits. The Qatari maybe little better but the Saudis are worst and UAE/Qatar are similar. They have been to Ethiopia already few times, not for Ethiopia, but African union and ambassadors.

To be honest, Qatar is a pretty useless country when it comes to helping the Somalis. The only thing Qatar ever did in Somalia is bankroll the election campaigns of Somali politicians such as Culusoow and Farmaajo. It is the country that brought you Damjadiid.  I have never heard of any project, worthy of a mention, the Qataris implemented in Somalia.

Things are about to change, it is the survival of both countries.

Either you bow down to UAE, and jump whenever they say, or you be free with your policies.

If Somalia can fast track the one man one vote and have decent parliament instead of the one appointed by elders, warlors, friends etc

Qatar has a key role that can be easily filled by Somalia - food

Qatar is surviving by Turkey and Iran for now, but Somalia can provide that with closed eyes, no sweat. They are starting in Sudan, but this could be perfect time. Expect increased security risk from UAE Saudis.

Somalia can reduce security risk by being suplier of food to the Gulf. There is nothing to make one think twice than if you are the bread provider. Turkey can help with modern industrial scale farms.
