Culumada Soomaaliyeed oo AS ka soo horjeeda are a target wherever they are. Kuwa jooga Burco iyo Hargeysa are on the hit list just like those in PL. Marka don't look for conspiracies where there is none. Maybe the reason AS wasn't successful in SL is because SL is tough on crime.

 

Putting all AS assassins aside, just take a look at the crime rates. Boosaaso & Gaalkacyo have much higher crime rate than Hargeysa and Burco. Why? Why is security not a high priority for PL? Ask any Puntlander when was the last time they felt safe and secure. The old days of C/laahi Yusuf running the place was the safest. Cadde was a bit better keeping the security. Faroole is busy kicking Somalis out and collecting taxes than keeping the peace. SL invested in security I guess where PL invested in corrupt leaders that see only the dollar sign in everything. Former PL president Cadde Muuse mentioned the state of insecurity of PL yesterday when he spoke about dilka Sheikh C/qaadir. He thanked the public who risked their lives to apprehend the killer. Why do you think he did that? Sending the message the current leadership failed the state. No doubt.

jacphar, your analysis is wrong. i don't think somaliland invested in security more than puntland. if it was a case of al-shabaab not targeting somaliland because of better security then we would have heard about many failed assassination attempts in the news. alshabab doesn't even make the effort and it has its bases in somaliland. if you feel that the reason people are being killed in puntland is because somaliland government is less corrupt, then you are not really as reasonable as i thought. loool. somaliland government is as corrupt and powerless as others and the recent stolen election and all the political clan problems it is having is an example of that.
