I know this song it's a nice song sang by that Italian guy too bad he died from aids. No wonder the lyrics seemed a bit weird to me and unsomali because it's another dialect called af maay maay things are falling in place now lol

I had to ask my mother what deenleya means, Apparently it's a beetle. This is the first time I'm hearing this song, thanks for posting it. I understand the lyrics but it's so hard to find the perfect English word to bring it into existence. It's so deep I don't want to ruin it and try to translate it with my immature ramblings.

Even tho,i speak very very very little Maymay,i used to think the translation was something like this,, "I will not jump on a moving car(wont take a car), wont board a boat(either) and wont take anywhere by flight, I will swim by ocean"----

 

Its amazing how the brain works, i memorized this song when i was not even a teenager and here it is just coming back to me like it was yesterday(life,i wonder).

I am learning the Af-Helledi dialect, i understand its the real hunters dialect of maay maay. wouldnt expect you to understand the hunters language.

Definetly it should become a national language, all Somali's school kids should learn Maay Maay. I want to start a campaign, what should the slogan be.
