PM and Ali Mahdi playing football on the beach (Pictures)

Thankful

It is inspiring how not too long ago TFG government officials had little control over the city and could not venture outside. Alhamdulillah, now look!

Of course there has been major problems, but It looks like 2011 has been a good year for our government compared to years past.

Mr Ali Mahdi, who then controlled north Mogadishu and who worked closely with the UN during its disastrous 1992-95 humanitarian mission to the country, has always refused to discuss the issue even though an Italian parliamentary report subsequently confirmed many of the allegations.

His legacy.

Incredible pictures. I like the picture of the PM aiming to kick the ball and the view of the boat at the background. Perhaps they planned it that way. Amazing!

Yunis

Worst PR ever, the same day Ethiopains declared their incursion into Somalia - the PM goes to the pristine Mogadishu beach to play soccer.

what message is he sending here? a devastating drought, battling with Al-shababb insurgents and other internal chronic conflicts, inept tfg officials and multiple invading armies - aah come join me kick ocean breeze with a soccer ball at the beach...

Great pictures MR Prime minister....
