Gaas says Somaliland part of Somalia

Recommended Posts

Gaas should have told the interviewer off and changed the subject

That would have been music to ears of secessionists no doubt. If the prime minister of a corrupt and weak TFG is bold enough to make this statement, do you think that when peace comes to the South, a legitimate government will shy away from addressing the issue of our wayward Northern enclave?

One thing is sure: The Prime Minister's comment surely doesn't help the 'Recognition cause' if the PM today even vaguely tried to push the issue to the side secessionist hardliners such Jacaylbaro and Co which now includes NGONGE would hail it tantamount to recognition but as he now voiced cleary and put his weight on the side of 'No Recognition' the secessionist group tries to brush it off as a mere talk but alas it's bigger than that and a reaffirmation and continuation of the pattern of late.

The PM spoke well and said how it ought to be said.

I like the tone of this debate and how it changed from years ago.

Couple of years back, some from Somalia used to make threads against Somaliland and criminalize "secessionist". And today some are hoping and even begging Somaliland to come and sit around the table for brotherhoods sake.

Even the Somaliland flag has been spotted in Moqadishu . :D

There is no reason to issue threats against Somaliland. Our love for Somaliland region was never in question. We want Somaliland to prosper and grow after all it is our land and people.

I can remember how your uncle Yeey said on the BBC; "We will come for those Hargeysa Xaaran ku heysta, after we deal with the one in Moqadishu".

Maantana waxaad ku faraxsantahay rajo ine Somaliland miis ee so fadhiisato.

Time and again they proved incapable of governing thmslvs & there is perception among the genaral populace in the south that they won't accomplish anything as long as SL is away. The people in Bosaso & Mogadishu don't trust each other , so they need a buffer zone(landers) & if SL goes back they will declare North & South for the sake of their coexistance! and who r the losers then? landers ofc.

Now I have an idea; let's reverse the roles of 1960:

1- capital....Hargeisa

2-President & PM from SL.

3-Generals of armed forces from SL.

4- 90% of ambassadors from SL.

5- Majority of parliament from SL.

6-President of parliament from SL.

etc....... Let's put the shoe on the otha foot and see how it feels like! UNITED SOMALIA!!
