Cabdiqasim calling for foreign troops during his transitional era.

Who hasn't changed their positions?

He used the same two reasons this TFG succeeded with;

1. Internal/external terrorism.

2. Disarming of militias opposed to him.

Calls out the United Nations Security Council on their "obligation" to send peace keepers to the Somali people.

The TFG has concrete evidence of its claims for the support of foreign troops. It will succeed in getting foreign troops once and for all.

Somalia has been ignored for so many years. It is therefore the right time that we get military and political support from the International community in ending the anarchy. Leaving Somalis to solve their own problems will not help and will deteriorate the situation. The paradox is that we Somalis who have been spilling each other's blood for so many years can solve their own problems.

Somalia is a tiny country with the population of one tribe in Kenya alone. It should be rescued and helped from total devastation.

did it ever happen though that is the question, this current so called transitional national government has reached new heights, bringing Ethiopian troops against the will of the people.

You still have to question, why didn't Qasim get the same support from Ethiopia?

I think the reason is because he wasnt' being how should I say a loyal boy to Addis therefore, they refused to provide him any support on the other hand col.Yey and Prof.Geedi are reall loyal couples for Melez.

It is indeed strange and revolves around Qabil.

Abdillahi Yusuf is opposed simply because he belongs to an unwanted clan, ugly but true.

The question that comes to mind is who elected HIM. If we say warlords elected, well how many warlords out of 275 members are in the Parliament? :D

Mr. Red Sea

you know that Abdiqasim was interesting to get an army, but no one is asking what is he going to do with those army differs with A/Y. I guess no answer. Everyone of them is interesting to be succecfull and their administration have lasting effect in Somalia that what is everyone is looking for. It is wrong to be viewed other then original intent. When one of them start twisting our intent then everyone of us can twist other intent.

So what has Abdiqasim's change of position got to do with the Islamic Courts Union? It's Sheikh Sharif, Sheikh Aweys and others who are leading the ICU, not Abdiqasim. Sheikh Sharif, Sheikh Aweys and the current ICU leaders were not part of the old (secular) system where Abdiqasim had a stance different than his current one. And what is wrong with changing one's position? One can reform, repent and change his previous wrong positions.

Are you in deniel........ what are the bases of Somaliland. To may knowledge Somaliland get tried of the drama of Southern tribes whom thought they have more legitimacy to rule the union then Somalilanders, and were reduced to Egal's tribe instead of two states .............. isn't that the reasons that Somaliland left of the union.

Mr. Red Sea don't be selfish lik me........ Stay with Union. you don't want that because those people Mogadishu Warmongers are hard to deal with.

Not really. He's opposed simply because, just like Aideed and Siad Barre, he's a f'ing power-hungry, murderous, amoral, traitorous(this is a unique quality to him ) SOB(figuratively speaking). And that's a understatement.

On the other hand, I'd bet a million bucks why you support A/Y, and why HornAfrique supports Barre, and why our nomad-in-exile Jumatatu supports Aideed is because y'all are all related to them, clanwise. Intelligent, apparently educated men. But they can't shake the clan monkey of their backs.

Abdiqasim, Warlords (USC factions) and new breads of USC (ICU) are one for all. They don't like A/Y calling International help.

If it is true that they don't like Ethiopia (Enemy) then they must accept other africans that can't differenciate us. They don't like that idea tooo not because Ugandan, South African Come for Abdhulahi but they don't like Anyone else to lead Somalia except them.

Kashafu, the Islamic courts is as power hungary as the president, but the president has legitimacy and U.N mandate to rule Somalia for five years. Why can't we wait for five years of his rule and then change him with whoever is better. Instead of being patient, we cause more mayhem and death to innocent people.

Let us see if the ICU supports this time the U.N Resolution, which excludes the neighbouring countries. More importantly, Ethiopia welcomed the resolution and promised to lend a hand.
