The New Realities And The Conscience Of The Sool Man

Recommended Posts

Most of the Sool elite in the diasporra are only now understanding that the political structure of the Puntland society is a classical case of an Orwellian system where “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others”. The reality is only now sinking in, that Punland was just the Animal Farm, where the BIGS and the BIGLETS were getting fatter and richer, while the sheep and the rest of the flock were bleating and singing”Two legs bad. Four legs good(Somaliland Bad, Puntland Good), and sometimes all the way to slaughter houses of Mogadisho.. The lost elite of Sool, has only now discovered that the Bigs were always walking on TWO LEGS, and were always trading with the HUMANS on the other side of the fence, behind their backs. It is a sober reality. It is a lesson learned. Sure, it takes time to get out of the shock, but unfortunately sometimes you learn the hard way. However, I believe that for the elites of Sool, this discovery is a blessing in disguise.

In Puntland the noble people of Sool were mercilessly humiliated.

Presidents could come only from the first class citizens of Puntland. Soolers do not qualify for that.

No development in Sool. It is a disputed area, therefore it is a high risk area for projects.

No natives of Sool and Eastern Sanaag can work for International Agencies in *********ia proper, for they do not qualify as indigenous people.

All fighting south of the borders of Puntland will be manned by the Sool people, for they are the Shoulders and the Muscles of Puntland.

Remember! Two legs bad, Four legs Good. Long live Puntland. Somaliland Down!

I always used to wonder why a policy based more or less along those lines would appeal to very intelligent people that are otherwise bestowed with a great power of reasoning and analysis. However the recent developments that happened in the area made the

naked truth clear to a great number of people, and most particularly to the sool elite in the diasporra. Since Somaliland has come to the rescue of its people in Sool, quite a dramatic situation is coming on the picture

Law and order is maintained in LasAnod and area for the first time since late eighties.

Government Services in Educatioon and Health are improving dramatically since the Somaliland Administeration took effect.

Government buildings are all being renovated, refurnished and are in the process of all departments being fully functional.

Popular grass root participation of the regional affaires is being introduced. Therefore, the elders, the business people, the womens associations and the youth are all being engaged, in such a way that the people are taking their destiny into their hands.

The Somaliland Government has put in place a 3% tax increase for the development of Sool only

The amount of material and moral support that other people in other regions of Somaliland are extending to Sool is a story that can itself fill pages and pages, therefore I will not dwell much on that. We can only measure the material side which is by far exceeding millions now.

Political parties are being registered in Sool and for the first time in many years most of the people in the region will exercise their right to vote in the coming Municipal and presidential elections

Finally I have to reassert that people and countries are not better than each other. What is better than one another are systems of Governments. In Somaliland we are building a system where everybody can have his fair deal. That is what makes Soolers and Somalilanders one and the same people. Geneololgical ties only proved to be hoax. Remember! Two legs were never Bad. Long Live Somaliland!

I feel sorry for you because you living in a delusion, the region is walking towards a war, its not between Somaliland and Puntland, its actually between the people of SSC and the Somaliland admin, the war is between people who made the history of Somali and their resources can shape the future of Somali, and with the hargisa admin which its a phenomena raised due to the Somali state collapse but the moments the Somali state restored that admin will melt.

The lies of developing of Sool can’t fool anyone, SSC residents enjoyed peace which was achieved by the people of SSC that lead to progress in opening more schools, University and although the health care developed slowly but recently the opening of a hospital in Cayn region emphasised the SSC people determination for developments.

SSC people disbelieve of any Somalideed Ideology that aim to fragmentize Somali to gain some short term interests, this was the reason why SSC were part of puntland who committed mistakes but it can be rectified. But joining Somaliland means the end of Somali as one united state, which can’t be rectified. So people of SSC who’s on the last century fought against the British to maintain Somali, today they fighting with who believes they are the orphans of the British so they have the right to inherit them. That will lead to in SSC Schools the SNM will be the Heroes who liberate northern Somalia while darwish will not be mentioned like the current syllabus. Therefore people of SSC who hopefully after Laas Anood liberation will reopen schools again they and will ensure that real heroes are praised and zeroes are neglected.

Somaliland security, stability will be on threat while people of SSC lost all of that since the Somaliland militia took over.

Another Somliander dreamer with propganda. Whatever you, the fact is Sool was peaceful when Puntland ruled and now it is war zone.

Still more than 50,000 of reer Sool are out of LA, there are no students for Schools and Somaliland is yet to make any progress for the people except war and death. The millions they collected for Sool as they claim is being used to buy weapons and feed their militia.

Thankful

This is my favorite quote from the ridiculous artice

Presidents could come only from the first class citizens of Puntland. Soolers do not qualify for that.

Puntlands two last vice president were from Sool, second most powerful men, and for a short time the Pres was in 2003. Somaliland would never ever ever EVER allow someone from majority tribes of Sool or Sanaag to attain the position for Pres of Vice Pres Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?! Is the man delusional? How can he even right this garbage knowing Somalilands track record with reer Sool? Sometimes I am shock about what people write; you know they have not studied journalism or are in anyway neutral. Look at Somalilands Gov't what high positions do people Sool hold? This is an issue with the local population in Lascaanod, Habsaade and others! What happened to Riyaale the last time he ventured into that city is proof how much they want to be under their control? The riots afterwards is also proof!

^^^^^Your argument is ridiculous sxb.President Riyaale is proof that anyone can be president of Somaliland unlike in Puntland where Ina Abdi Hashi was replaced by Cadde Musa who was fighting Abdullahi Yusuf,a rebel one day and President the next even though the rightful owner was Ina Abdi Hashi.Does that not say enough of where Sool folks stand in the Puntland political hierachy?

There was fair election for the Presidency and it went to the second round. The first round was won by Hashi and if it was not for three votes, he will have been President today. Hashi, according to interviews he gave, lost becuase some Sool MPs gave their votes to Cade. Puntland would have been better off with seasoned and experienced politician like Hashi.

Any Somali who resides in Puntland can run for the President but he or she needs to compaign and get support.

Reer Sool are unfortunely land locked so these "other entities" have A LOT to offer them, and in return they have a lot to offer these entities, which is why it is hotly contested!!!

Gediid bro - this article is about how Puntland treats reer Sool. It's full of flat out lies, Somalilands government holds no significant positions for reer Sool, that's why they're were riots and not celebrations! It's shocking that a grown man(i'm assuming he is an adult) would actually write something like this.

I'm not talking about the normal folks(kuwaas meelkasta nasib daro ayaa heysta) but the Sool politicians I am talking about and I honestly think there's some sort of celling real or imaginary as to to how far they can go in the Puntland government.......

Ina Hashi is just being nice about his ordeal. Naag umuliso ah iyo Ninwayn labaduba siday wax u ogyay uma sheegaan. ;)

The fact is, all Col. Cadde Muse done was to read out load what was in printed in the Constitution of Puntland. In otherwords, Ninwayn tag lama yidhaa wuxu ku tago ayaa la tusaa.

Nin kale uma adkaysteen sida loo bahdilay Ina Xaashi. Laakin waxa jira rag ka dhiidhiyey dhaqanka xun ee Garoowe yaal sida Wasiirkii hore ee Ciyaaraha Puntland iyo Wasiirkii Arimaha Gudaha Puntland Ina Xaabsade, iyo Taliyihii Ciidamada Gobolka Sool ee Puntland Col Yusuf Quuje.

Gediid, today Somaliland represents a secessionist entity. Even if SOOL folks were not happy in the goings of PL’s political machine, jumping in a secessionist wagon would not be a plausible option for them. If Somaliland retracts disowning its national character and identity, and starts to pitch a different ball, a Somali ball, then, and quite possibly at that, a large junk of today’s Puntland tribal components may find advantageous in gravitating toward your political poll! What makes your otherwise significant gains a tragic stillborn is its underlying dogma; the attempt to dismember your own republic at its neediest hour!

But again why would I be surprised….

What a bold face lie is this? Why did Hashi run for President if it was against the constitution of Puntland?

^^It is well known fact that in Puntland each clan is allocated a particular seat.

We haven't seen any change of that fact since Puntland was established 10 years ago, except for the breif "care-taker" 6 month period in which Ina Xaashi presided till Cadde Muuse took the helm. Even in that "care-taker" period, Ina Xaashi was subjected to humiliation. I remember reading those days, at one point Ina Xaashi was told off by Col. Yey saying "Those from Lascaanood are never good for anything except of being footsoldiers" accusing Ina Xaashi of inability to run Puntland properly while Col. Yey was in Kenya. Of course we understand the reasons why Ina Xaashi was unable to run the place during those days - all the ministers from the Main Clan refused to work with him. redface.gif

Ninka Ina Xaashi sinaba caadi uma aha. Wuxu u dhabar adaygay humiliation aan qof kale sinaba u ogolaan karin.
