Are Punlanders among the most patriotic Somalis?

Recommended Posts

Its clear that they are the only group (perhaps few others) that show positive and supportive attitude to the TFG. What does that say about the rest? Do they not want a government?

Why do you think they support the TFG?

and since when has supporting TFG a patriotic thing to do, has the concept of patriotism redefined to mean those who collaborate with historical enemy of Somalis to invade their country so as to grab power?...

The sooner Somali understand force begets force we will continue the circle of violence and counter violence

Thankful

those who collaborate with historical enemy of Somalis

Haha, it's so funny how now they are such bad enemies. They sure weren't "historical enemies" back in the late 80s and early 90s when all the oppostion groups in Somalia used them help over throw Afweyne. If they were such enemies you would never ever have used them in any way shape or form to assist you in fighting Siad!!

Isn't using their intelligence, weapons and training a form of collaboration?

truth is, Somalis are not patriotic in any corner of their country. Northwest has been busy trying to cut the country in two. the south has turned to bililiqo for as far us we can remember. yet the puntland regions are not only for unity but found the formula for statehood. Northwest either deports somali refugees to ethiopia or las anod. They the kill, rape or rob them in the south. But in puntland, Bosaso, Galkacyo, Las Anod, they are welcomed with open arms. What little money puntland gets from its main port is mostly given to the central government. All its troops were given to the central government. So your right, what little patriotism thats left in Somalis, is in those regions but did really win a race whean no one is competing with you?

Would you still consider yourself "the most" patriotic if Yey wasn't the head of the TFG? What if Sheikh Sharif was? Or some (crazy :D ) Northerner? How about if the TFG was headed by Somali Bantu?

All Puntlanders want a peaceful Somalia. Many (most?) Puntlanders support the TFG for Abdillahi Yuusuf. The problem is they confuse the two concepts together.

Yey is not the solution. He's the problem.

Secession the day before yesterdays news

Bililiqo yesterdays news

traitor and selling cheaply the country to Tigres at the cost of so many Somali lives - todays news.

NN falari gilgilato kaga ma harto - for centuries to come the term 'dabakadhilif-cadow' will stick, and out of the three that is the worst.

^No kidding. So that's what it is all about eh? Look awoowe this TFG is waht it is. Ethiopia is in Benadir doing what they do best killing some Somalis left and right and hugging the rest. They are driving this kareeto. The question becomes do you want them out yes or no? If it is yes then there are two ways of going about this biz. One is war and in wars as you might know by now costs a great deal of blood and treasure. Sacrifice is what is needed and by the way things are going now that sacrifice is not forthcoming from Somalis. Yes there are vocakl minority screaming from the comfort of their lazy boy chair and several sub clans taking all the hits. That's not how to win wars in this magnititude. Second is khidca. You render the E-factor irrelevant in Somali politics. Ya know where I'm going with this...tata.

Who's YEY again?

You are right, one of the main reasons for supporting the TGF is cuz of Abdillahi Yusuf...As would any other Somali...He is one of us, so it is only fair to support him, no?... :D

I, personally, would support any Somali President, regardless of qabiil...So long as he is doing what he is suppose to do...

TFG and "Puntland" never hand any Somalis to those filthy Ethiopians because they're so patriotic right?
