Yeah, if you look at the world today, you only find the Muslims are predominantly the majority that is highly oppressed and victimized. So, please don't copy-cat the western terms and use against us while having no idea the implications along such terms. [/QB]

hasna's list is perfectly logic,i'm really sick people calling other people westernized or using western terms when they want to dismiss their argument, even though there was no argument just list of topics. and why only muslims? islam cares the well being of humanity in general. it would be interesting if we talk about muslim woman's rights, since a lot of muslim women are abused, because they do not know their religion and their rights.

Calm down abaayo, and don't get stiff at me, please. May be you right, Hasna's proposed topic is logic from western perspective, but not our own sociatel perspective. Its always the west who dehumanize the dignity of our female by name-calling the dignity our female, (Muslim women). So, its clear if you look closely at the intentions of those people (the westerners) you simply find my genuine concerns about their racialist terms.

Now, do you understand my dhibic? And by the way, don't let Prof. Integrationist (NGONGE) mislead you in the daylight.

Blessed

^^Agreed! Lets get posting. smile.gif

Great suggestions from those who've bothered to contribute.

God Hasna, are you in youth work? I do love your list. It's all so relevant - I can't choose.

And, Thank you all smile.gif

Simply the Best and Co,

It's a matter of making the most of this site and restoring it to its former glory. SOL was a place for proper exchange - now it's dead. People are constantly complaining at the state of this section – so why not do something about it?

Now, I don't oppose light hearted topics as I've already said. WE can even have a chit-chat thread -it's up to you.

It's the hijacking of and trivializing of people's insightful threads that needs to be dealt with.

Good list of topics.

Sister becoming Mentors like big Sisters for our youngsters..Programs

Anyone involved in such activities now? I volunteered with this Somali youth group nearby and I was told I'd be needed in their big sisters program. I haven't done anything like this before - so I'd appreciate any tips from anyone who has done such programs.

Asalam aleykum,

Our Bothers and sisters should learn the Religion. This would inturn help us spread the TRUE meaning of ISLAM.This doesn't mean you be Theologists..no..do some Research.

As I said before and posted in several Threads, There are a lot of Rights for muslim woman.Infact the Holy Quraan has a whole chapter dealing with women as in SOL.

Concerning Single parenting, I think my best idea is to avoid or even decrease and I hate the word 'DIVORCE'.Young fresh and sweet couples start arguing about small small matters which aren't beneficial to them.

Without sabar, they part..leaving a lot of burden to the woman..which I dislike very much and am sorry to say it here for single mothers..Yet One Hadeeth says about SABAR..The Holy prophet says

'A'SABAR JAMIILUN'yacni Sabar is good.

We appreciate if you solve the problem to single parenting once and for all.Prevention is better than cure so some say.

Raising children upright must start with the parents. You tend to speak English so much that you leave your kid without your AYEEYO LANGUAGE.he gets big and marries..what gonna he teach his children..and there is already one LOST generation.

You are a drunkard..or miraa chewer..what do u expect your kid to do laterz..he will start it from Cocaine..nor even Miraa.and you will still be running a LOST green leaves cult.

You don't pray and have no Islamic attire(clothe)it doesn't matter wearing qamiis..no.but decently..your kids will follow the same.If you are MAN/WOMAN not praying..your NEXTGen is already lost from your AWOOW generation..that is what you found from your culture and religion and you already loose it.

How do you gonna preserve your Generation matters as your daily life.

Let me quote 2 nice VERSES from the Holy Quran.

"Bear then patiently what they say, and glorify your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of the night do also glorify (Him) and during parts of the day, that you may be well pleased"

"And enjoin prayer on your followers, and steadily adhere to it; We do not ask you for subsistence; We do give you subsistence, and the (good) end is for guarding (against evil)".

Allah needs nothing from you.

Wasalam. smile.gif
