Tragic Fire in Hargeysa

Recommended Posts

Some of the posters on this forum have deep rooted agenda's against anything Somaliland. I would even go so far as to say beneath the crocodile tears, and the fake care for the local business people, they are glad to have another stick to beat the Somaliland government with. We see you.  We shall rise, god is great!!

Xaaji, don’t get distracted the issue isn’t about all those offering sympathy and support.

Actually the money is part of 70 million dollars earn marked for Somaliland by the WorldBank/IMF but went through Mogadishu. Somaliland refused to accept any funds that comes through Mogadishu before and won't accept it today either. Our position is clear, if the IC wants to help us, they need not to come through another party, deal with us directly or just keep your money.

Our people is able to cover the costs of rebuilding ourselves.

Biixi rightfully took Rooble and Farmajo's calls. It is incumbent upon the Federal Government to release any and all funds. While some can afford to play politics, the victims can't.

Our investigation continue.

8 days ago, the house owned BY Sheikh Sunne who either released or escaped from Hargeisa prison was torched by fire. It was burning in Hargeisa and the fire fighters had refused to take the fire out.

WAtch this clip.

Amazing stories coming out including how the fire licked the front side of a Masjid but stopped destroying it. How a Maktaba that stores Quran and religious books was completely spared eventhough fire raged all around it.

Another amazing story is about a Warehouse owned by family of orphaned children, while all other surrounding warehouses were destroyed.

Another story about this man who was well known charity person whose building survived.

This nothing more than just another version of the misrepresentation and fraudulent s/election process. They are not fooling anyone but themselves.

You think dollars will work where 'Sooomaaliyeey toosoo' failed? We see through it like an X-ray sees through your bones.

Xaaji, your definitions seem to be quite narrowly defined. Cause you forget about those leaseholders that paid years of rent in advance and their losses? And the street and market stalls aren’t they also regarded as properties that are worth value and how about those thousands of informal street traders who lost their daily income.

the building owners that you are talking about have earned back their investments dozens of time. It’s the small traders that one should worry about.

  • Thanks 1
