University Of Somalia Mogadishu University Benadir University University of Southern Somalia (USS), Baidoa Kismaayo University Burco University Puntland State University Hargeisa University East African University, Boosaaso Amoud University, Boorama Nugaal University Gedo University Hiiraan University The education system in Somalia specially primary and secondary schools are in order, with the number of girls attending increased. Blessed Posted January 18, 2009 ^Indeed, back lack of jobs is a huge problem for graduates. Somalis in the diaspora need to start investing and building businesses. nuune Posted January 18, 2009 Blessed,, that is true, Jaamacada Ummada Soomaaliyeed ceased operation and were suspended right after the civil war due to alot of damage to its facility, it was one of the best university across Africa, and had nearly 15 departments with campuses in many cities. As far as I know, the department of Education of Somali National University was located in Lafoole, that is why you hear alot of people graduated from Lafoole mainly because it was a College of Teaching, English was the main language there, and people loved here. Gahayr was functioning before Yey took over than everything went high wire. P.S. Gahayr University was one of the best in Africa. It was named after my uncle too....
