  1. She writes? Obviously hers is literature that is more fit for the inhabitants of mental asylums. Speaking of which someone should institutionalize her quickly.

    Ramadan (Q A)

Nur, I think it would be great if you or someone else could compile a list of the different ways to gain hasanaat in the upcoming month. Someone told me about this today and I think it's amazing. 'Performing Umra in Ramadhan is like making hajj with the prophet (salatulahi wa salamuhu aleyh)'. This is a precious little info for anyone who has the time and the means to perform umra during ramadhan in order to maximize its rewards.

Why would anyone be lured by money to take their families into a war zone?
  6. Tyjwania, you don't have to dummy yourself down just don't make him feel emasculated. As for the article, society ought to stop punishing women for actualizing their god-given talent. There is 2 much unfairness and discrimination these women have to contend with in the workforce already from not making as much as their male-counterparts do for holding the same positions and doing the same jobs to facing glass-ceilings that prevent them from deserved vertical career mobility. And now to bring the battle to their private lives, damn! where is the mercy? It's a cruel world indeed.
  7. we don't need hippies like ppl to exclaim peace we need negroes like you to head the global civil rights movement. Ask not what colored ppl can do for you Ask what you can do for colored ppl Rudy. Khayr, this Farax is eternally loco. But funny as hell.

  10. Can't wait for Ramadan. I intend to make use of the opportunity, altho it is the same story every year we are tested with other obligations like school, work etc. that take up so much of our time. The older one gets the harder it becomes with all the added responsibilities, but but we all have to prioritize. So sep 24? Ramadan Kareem in advance to all my lovely nomads.
  11. Any news coming from CNN sources is trash. Journalism dedicated to besmirching the rep of your enemies whether they are terrorist islamists, north koreans or fidel castro cannot be taken seriously.

On the other hand a non muslim couple could stay together for 50 years or more. how would you explain? I might be getting a little technical here but I'm sure you've heard of the saying that one completes half their deen when they get married, well in actuality this only happens when someone marries a pious individual. Hadii kale they do not! So a failed short-term marriage to an outstanding person in the sight of Allah might be a lot more rewarding than a life time of happily married bliss with a so-so individual. So in essence longevity might not be everything. capisce Mr. Zu? I guess what sister Haneefah is saying is that with the right preparation you are equipped with the right rules of engagement and that might even help set the tone for out of control situations by making them more controllable.

If you can divorce yourself from your little SOL-conferred status and egotistical persona you'd be smart enough to see that we don't each other personally in real life. You never waste an opportunity to attack me personally, why is that? Are you really that hateful and vindictive? whatever it is I just hope it is nothing that is genocide-inducing
  15. Originally posted by Baashi: Back to the topic. You’ve asked what the input of the father is in this hypothetical scenario. The father’s input is to provide for his family and help out his wife with the kids when he is not away working his behind off. By “input†if you meant stay home dad that would sent his woman out to perform paid work for someone else then you are right that kind of “input†is not an option. It should be an option in the event that she makes more than he does. In that way he could be the 'wind beneath her wings'. So loving and supportive.
  16. Rahima, If you can warrant so much paranoia and suspicion out an innocent and a sincere reminder then you ought to question yourself and not me. You should see how Nur handles it when I remind him from time to time. You tell me to 'practice what I preach' sure why not? I will make it a point to do so.
  17. Rahima, I can assure you that I have no chip on my shoulder. If at anytime you feel uneasy over anything I think you should just keep it to yourself. It is more civilized and more in accordance with the deen. I'm sure many of us here have reservations over this matter but not everyone is enthusiastic about hearing them pronounced out loud. Tyjwania, Seriously Saxiib I didn't know you were mad and holding a grudge against me. Wallahi waa ka xumahay what I said to you, you would have to refresh my memory tho. You make it sound like all I do is level attacks against people here. Fear Allah.
  18. I can barely stop myself from laughing out loud hyterically. This is too funny. marryin a farax from SOL, not many Xaliimos are into ruining their lives! Thas all I gotta say. Mr. Rendezvous I hope that answer your question. Seriously tho don't forget to let me know when you update your blogs etc. lol.
  19. Rahima you broke Allah's law and what you said is considered backbiting. I'm sure if he knew that a girl in Melbourne said his holy union was "disgusting" he wouldn't like it. Forum rules are just that forum rules but Allah's law is for eternity. Respect people. I see you don't like being told you are wrong but we are here to remind and correct. It is our job. Zafir and I thought you were drawing up worst case scenarios so people wouldn't think this was bad. But  rabi salem.

Or perhaps he isn’t even gay; he is simply wants to be the third wheel in their love life (third world, lack of equipment may be). I really don’t know, am just thinking out loud. yuck! after reading that the regular story doesn't sound too gross.
  22. HornAfrique, To answer your question, it doesn't make much of a difference whether Islam and democracy are compatible or not because Islam as a religion rejects all other systems except for the Shariicah which is the body of Islamic law as legislated by Allah. What does this mean for Somalia? I don't have the slightest clue.
  23. they should give the old man an opportunity to reject Islamic approach to the Somalia's problem. They don't have to, he do this voluntarily on his own all the time. He is pro-democracy, he said so himself.
  24. How did I missed this story? Sounds more like a Native Indian folk tale! You never tire of writing this diatribe Nur? what compels you? I'm not making references to UIC or anything like that but I'm sick and tired of this bigging-up of wadaado all the time. This excessive tazkiyah is unislamic and needs to stop Allah is the only judge.
  25. I vote for Tenacious girl's blue rope.
